My husband and I wandered in for a sweet treat on Sunday. After studying the overwhelming cases of sweets, we still couldn’t decide. The owner saw us and insisted that we enjoy a cookie on the house so we could taste the quality! Absolutely amazing! Everything is delicious and they have a coffee bar with cold brew on tap! We will definitely be back!

Delicious Food! I loved this place. Great to come to after dinner and select from a large variety of cheesecakes, cupcakes, coffee, crème brûlée, fruit tarts etc. Cute ambiance, perfect for a small friend/family gathering or a casual date.

If you walk into this place, I’m telling you, you’re going to be like a kid in a candy shop. The various selections that they have on display is unreal! This will definitely keep me coming back to try everything that they have to offer. I started out with a slice called the Blackout which seems to be a double or triple chocolate cake. With one bite I was already a fan of this place, savoring every last bite. I absolutely can’t wait to be back here, it’s simply just that good!

I’ve had the privilege visit this place twice in the past two days. That’s how great it is! I was impressed at the vast array of desserts that they offered and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I wish they had a couch in there somewhere though, but I can’t have it all. The only thing I thought was weird was that we had to get waiter service if we wanted to sit down. We couldn’t just get our dessert and sit down. I guess that’s just the way they organize things. Also the waiter we had, seemed like he was having a bad day. He was nice to us, but just looked sad. It was ok though. The first time I visited I got the strawberry cheesecake. It was soft and the strawberries on top were fresh. It just have that homemade feeling about it. It was the same thing with the pumpkin pie that I got the second time. It was soft and fresh. Right now, this place is definitely my favorite bakery in Cobble Hill, probably even Brooklyn for that matter.

I had the Nutella cupcake which I found to be kind of dry there wasn’t anything special about it, I could still taste the sugar in the icing so it wasn’t mixed very well. My friend had the strawberry cheesecake which she said was good I didn’t taste it but I’ll take her word for it. I would go back because after all it’s a bakery and there’s much more to try but I wouldn’t try any of their cupcakes again. The service was okay, the bakery is very nice they bring your choices to you on a plate with water. And just a suggestion to the owners I think you guys should ice the cupcake as customers order it ! So that way the icing is nice and soft whether it’s buttercream, cream cheese or whatever icing you use.

The mediocre $ 5 banana chocolate bread pudding became $ 5.25 a second later. Pretty underwhelming selection and not a product that’ll bring me back despite glowing reviews.

Came here for the first time wanting dessert after eating at one of the nearby restaurants. Only tried 3 things. Banana cream pie: delicious! Perfectly light, not overly sweet, and a perfect crunch to the crust. Banana nut pound cake: it was okay, had a strange flavor to it. Not sure where it came from. Spicy chai tea latte: it was OK. I feel like it could’ve used more flavor. The barista asked me if I wanted it to be spicy or neutral, which I wasn’t sure what that meant because chai is supposed to be spicy to some extent. Wasn’t spicy at all. Very soft, too soft to say the least. And slightly watery. But just okay. Didn’t try too much but I would definitely come back to try more.

Nice bakery, lots of choices and good prices. There wasn’t much we could rate this place on other than their selection and nice staff. I can’t remember what cake we bought from here, so that review will have to be for another time…

They make a pretty nice cup of regular coffee. They have gingerbread cookies that are soft and just the right amount to tease your palate without giving you that crack sugar rush.

Update — after my flan incident yesterday, the Owner himself told to come in and he will make things right… he was really sweet and apologized to me, that meant a lot! He went out his way to make sure I was beyond satisfied! You definitely will see me more often :-) thank you Old review I had to write another review… I bought a flan here because the first time I had bought it, it was awesome and yummy. I bought another flan today and it was very rubbery and hard. it’s supposed to be somewhat like a smooth custard… I’m not pleased! For $ 5.25 for a small thin slice, it’s not worth it. im disappointed :(

Totally addictive! The cakes are soft & moist, without being too sugary. Everyone is very nice & the cappuccino’s are very good too!

First of all, don’t forget to check into this place as there would be free coffee accompanied by anything purchased here. Apparently lots of cakes/cupcakes/cookies were worth trying. Wanted to try out their banana pudding and fruit Napoleon cake and I went with the latter as the cake looked so fluffy. Really enjoyed the decoration, with spiders hanging on the web and a skeleton next to them. They even had cupcakes with spider on top! However coffee was a bit mediocre…

Mia’s seems to be the new«it» spot on Smith Street. I came by on a Saturday night around 8, and the place was packed. Luckily, they have a ton of seating in the back, but it was tough to get to the register to pick up a cake I ordered only an hour before. But like the movie Memento, let’s rewind to see how we got to this point. The night before, we picked up a pecan pie for a friend’s birthday. It was delicious. So the next day, for my dad’s birthday, I had to find a last minute cake(because I’m a great son) and remembered Mia’s. Stopped in around 7, picked out a cake they had on display(the ones inside are for sale; most of the ones in the windows are customer-reserved). Went with strawberry shortcake and they were able to write a message on it within the hour that I went to the gym and back. Easy peasy. The cake was $ 32. But honestly, I enjoyed the pecan pie more. The strawberry shortcake(which they told me was a favorite for birthday parties) just wasn’t anything special. A place like Paris Baguette charges the same for their cakes, and they have more interesting flavors and prettier cakes. But hey, Mia’s is quick and convenient.

Why take quality over quantity when you can have quality AND quantity? At Mia’s, you CAN have your cake and eat it! I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I walked by for coffee at 11am and ended up indulging on lemon cake. No regrets.

I called in to Mia’s the other day when I was craving a bagel and ended up coming out with a croissant, soft roll(they don’t haveMy bagels) and an English breakfast tea. The best plain croissant I’ve had in NYC, and I love croissants. The teas are organic which I loved… ever looked into what tea is made with? Today I called in for another roll and came out with the sourdough and a cupcake. Its hard to go in and just get one thing… everything’s so delicious and tempting.

Went to Mia’s bakery in search of a sad-day cure and it did a decent job. I was craving coconut cream pie but unfortunately the nice lady behind the counter told me they were all out. I settled for the coconut cake and an Oreo cupcake to wash it all down(because I’m a winner.) The coconut cream pie was tasty but nothing to write home about, though that could just be because I was in that coconut cream pie mood. The Oreo cupcake was also yummy but the frosting was cold and firm. All and all, Mia’s was just what I needed that day though I’d love to see them take their desserts to the next level.

After an extremely long day, I decided to head to Park Slope to pick up a wedding card at Paper Source. On my way back to the train station, I saw all these beautiful cakes in the window. Drools. Must walk away. Then, I pulled out my phone to see the reviews. To be honest, I was drawn in by the free coffee. As soon as I walked in, a friendly cashier greeted me. I asked how much were the rainbow cookies, she told me $ 12 per pound. While I was pondering, she then informed me I don’t need to get a whole pound. I asked for 2 small pieces. In the end, my check came out to be $ 1.35 with a free iced macchiato. Both items were delicious. I love the cookies, moist and not too sweet. The iced coffee was strong and not water down. On my way out, one of the waitresses told me their best sellers are apple crumble pie and cheesecake. Also, the place has a backyard where you can sit and enjoy your sweets. As the terminator would say«I’ll be back!»

Really helpful staff! The barista doubled as pastry helper and helped me get my order together. Ordered a bunch of random items, but only got to try some of the cupcakes. The cake parts are not crazy sweet, light and slightly chewy(which I love) so it’s not super crumbly. The frostings need a little more oomph because they didn’t taste *quite * like the intended flavor. All were good, but just not exactly what I expected. Also checked in and scored a free coffee. Thank you!
