This may not be one of those big Italian bakeries where you wait on huge lines here in Bensonhurst, but it is a gem for sure! They have hands down the best semolina bread I have ever tasted. It’s delicious, and so are all there other loaves and cookies. It’s a very small bakery, but you can tell they put a lot of love and attention into all these delicious Italian treats. There is no event at my families home here in Bensonhurst where you won’t find there amazing bread. LOVE!

Visiting my in-laws in Brooklyn who live a block down and walked into Mondial Bakery and didn’t know what to expect. We bought a bunch of the sprinkles cookies, a lemon drop cookie, mini cheesecakes and the gigantic chocolate chip covered cookie. Everything was perfect and not too sweet. There was a really nice lady with gorgeous brown hair assisting us and she was so kind and patient with us as we were trying to figure out what to order. She even gave me instructions on how to bring back lemon drop cookies and cheesecakes back to San Francisco safely and in perfect condition. Her instructions were on point! My San Francisco friends and family loved what I was able to preserve for them from Mondial. I’ll be back to visit whenever I return to Brooklyn!

BakeryDay in Brooklyn– some barhop, for Easter we bakery hop… Cuccios, Mondial. Love their bread, and delux cannoli with chocolate chips and candied orange. They are nice here too. The large round loaf– fresher than fresh was $ 2.25– nuff said!
