First, let me say I usually like myrtle bagels and Kayla is quite wonderful. She is very attentive and makes your ordering experience a joy. I order the same thing every morning and know the total. Ordered today and the owner charged me $ 2.40 cents more and I saw him ring up something twice so I know he was trying to get over on me. When I told him the total was wrong, he did it over and this time charged me .50 cents more. I asked why and he said you have an Asiago bagel and the person who made the order told them I did not, I had a plain bagel. Not believing either of us, he opened up my bagel(which is inappropriate) and then said angrily«fine, here’s your money!» I have a 0 tolerance policy for swindlers. If you think the best way to grow your business is by cheating customers then continue forth without my business. He was so pissed that he ripped my receipt in half and then gave it to me. Done with this place, thankfully Starbucks is right down the street.

Good bagels and spreads. The lox spectacular is indeed spectacular. Great staff and delivery guys. A bagel shop that I’m glad to have in the neighborhood.

So yesterday I thought I’d be all adventurous and try another new bagel shop. :sigh: Sometimes its better to stick with what you know is good. No complaints about the location, the décor or even the staff working. The food was the disappointment here. First up was the Chicken Cordon Bleu on a roll. Good amount of chicken… even though I thought it was weird that they cut it into little strips rather than leaving it as a cutlet. Nice pile of ham on top of the chicken and swiss melted over everything. Sadly though the sandwich needed more honey mustard. I think there was only one bite where I actually tasted it. Also picked up a black and white cookie… in a word: EW! Do not order one of these cookies. I’ve had such great b/w cookies at other bagel shops… not this one. This b/w tasted chemically, ugh, I’d like my money back on this one please. Also picked up a couple bagels for the morning. Large. Doughy. All around nice bagel. One star for the sandwich, one star for the bagels, and I guess one star for the establishment itself… like I said — no complaints there. I’ll give it another try again but I’m stay far away from that dessert case.

They should call it mediocre bagel. To be fair the bagels themselves are good and fresh. The sandwiches are generous but often bland and not thoughtfully constructed. I get that this place’s focus is bagels but they have a great cold cut selection and could dramatically change the place with a revamped deli/sandwich focus. The juices are good but definitely overpriced particularly for the small size. And lastly, they frequently make mistakes on orders; recently after a long night of work I came in with a particular egg meal in mind i had been thinking about for hours and they simply fucked up what I clearly verbalized. Got potential but needs improvement.

The food was not worth the price. The sandwich was over 6 bucks and all they put was the meat and cheese I spend five dollars in a mini smoothie where I could have gotten one bigger for cheaper same taste! Delivery took forever.

Pretty good bagels in the area and they deliver! I always get the everything bagel with bacon herb cream cheese. It’s great and they put plenty of cream cheese on the bagel. They also have a variety of baked goods –delicious brownies!

bagel is fresh and the coffee is great! I saw the previous reviews and asked for a bit more cream cheese and they accommodated without complaint. I usually get the toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese.

Best bagel ratio ever. Yummy bagels with a ton of cream cheese! And they always give me extra sausage since I don’t like eggs in my breakfast sandwiches. They already give you two patties so I get three. WUTTTT! :D So sad I moved because I ate here all the time — Seriously the best bagel/breakfast joint in NYC/BK

Amazing beagles and cream cheeses. And the price isn’t too bad. Great location. I come here for breakfast before class everyday.

Probably the best bagels in the neighborhood, and lucky for me, very near by. I wish they were a little more generous with the amount of cream cheese and butter they put on bagels, but that’s just a minor quibble. It’s your standard bagel-deli type place. I usually get a toasted garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese, cinnamon raisin bagel with butter, or a toasted garlic bagel with bacon and cheese, and of course, a large iced coffee, black. The bagels are big and doughy, with good flavor and texture. The staff are all friendly and quick. How long you’ll have to wait is dictated by how crowded it is, with mornings, especially on the weekends, being the busiest time.

From the same guy who brought us La Bagel Delight on Lafayette brought us Myrtle Bagel. THANKSDUDE! The bagels are great, the CURRYCHICKENSALAD is great. The staff is nice and they have seating!!! Now I don’t have to schlep to Lafayette! That alone is worth 10 stars

First off they made my coffee exactly how I asked and it was perfect! Also, my blueberry muffins was straight out of the oven and still hot! So two thumbs up for that The reason they got three stars is because I ordered an egg and cheese sandwich and it arrived IcE cold!!! I literally live 2 blocks away from this is this possible? So gross. I’m so disappointed and frustrated. On top of that I tried to give the delivery guy a tip first he walked away so I called to him«hey you don’t want a tip«and he shrugs suggesting no and says«well if you want to there’s already a tip included in your charge» didn’t come off as humble more as snobbish.

I was pleased to be a customer there. The first impression of me entering and saying Good Morning and receiving a Welcoming Attitude from the young lady providing service. The Everything bagel with avocado, bacon and cheese was delicious. I have become the 6am customer and will continue, I have yet to try their sandwiches. Keep up the good work Myrtle Bagels.

I’ve only lived in nyc for about a year, so maybe I don’t have the credentials to talk about bagels, but I thought that these were some of the best I’ve had so far in the city. They’re big and round, yes, but all of the ones that I’ve tried have been dense and chewy, not fluffy and bready like a fast food bagel. Also, I only ever order the scallion, but the assortment of cream cheeses(including vegan tofu cream cheese) is impressive. However, I haven’t had much luck with the brownies and baked goods. They look so tempting, but the two that I’ve tried have been cakey and overly sweet. I’d also appreciate it if they stepped up their egg salad game.

I’m going to tell you something and you better take my word for it. This place is better than Bergen Bagels. BETTER. Walk a few streets and change your life for the better! Why wait in line for mediocre service and predictable products when you can come here and get something as simple as a bagel or as awesome as a custom deli sandwhich. All of the prices are really affordable and the space is big, clean, and welcoming. I’m so glad this place exists and I’m even happier that the service is amazing! I ordered a bagel and an iced coffee one day and the guy working here took his time to make everything fresh and exactly as I wanted it. Superb!

Come here for lunch on occasion since it’s opened up a few months ago as it’s near where I work and need a change from my normal lunch spots. Nice and clean inside with ample seating. Price-wise, not the cheapest place in Clinton Hill to get a sandwich and a tad higher than what I like to spend on lunch, but not the most expensive either. I’ve tried both the Cubano hero and the Italian Chicken hero, which were both tasty and a good size so it felt worth the $ 6.99. 3.5 stars, but I’ll give them 4 for the benefit of the doubt and will update later when I get more chances to visit. Can’t comment on the bagels, but will try them for breakfast one day. Hard to compete with Bergen Bagel, but they seem to have a good selection of cream cheeses.

I wanted to love you, but it just isn’t meant to be… I agree with the other reviewers, the bagels are doughy and heavy. There’s absolutely no beautiful golden color and crisp outside that is indicative of a real New York bagel, in fact they’re more like giant hard rolls than they are bagels. I was generous with the two stars because the staff is very nice and attentive and the cream cheeses are actually really good, but the bagels are awful(picture included), it’s expensive for what it is, and the baked goods are actually made elsewhere(though the lemon bars are quite good). Fingers crossed that their bagels will change… completely.
