Don’t get me wrong I love fast service, but I ordered the house box for lunch special and it came out way to quickly. It seems as if it was ready and waiting for someone to order it. The shrimp seemed like it was cooked and just under a heat lamp because it was very dry the sauce was cold and the vegetables too. And the rice seemed to be a little dry as if it was out ready to go for awhile. The only thing that seemed fresh was the California roll and shumai. First time eating here and not that good of an experience

Looking for a healthier meal option, I opted to try this eatery located one flight up from street level. Small restaurant with a few patrons towards late afternoon. Loved the mini-waterfall that enhances the décor and the chefs who cook the meals in the middle of the dining area. Our server was kick on his feet — walking over our menus, taking our orders, replenishing our water glasses without delay. Though the menu has a significant emphasis on sushi, I opted not to explore this time. Instead, I ordered the chicken teriyaki with brown rice and salad ($ 12.95). Kudos on the presentation — a huge white dish designed with a small enclosure for the brown rice and flat surface for the meat and salad to be placed side by side. The fruit served towards the end of your meal is refreshing. Great experience.

Always hits the spot, but that is because it is sushi. To be honest, it is good but not especially great sushi. There are a lot of options, but it is never all that filling (a stupid complaint considering it is sushi) and some of the roles, although tasty, are pedestrian. They do make sushi though, so that is a huge plus! However, unless you are craving sushi and this is the only place around, I wouldn’t go out of my way to swing by here, it is pretty MOR and not doing anything exceptional value-wise.

Busy around lunch hour, other than that pretty easy to get a table quickly. It’s a medium sized place with a friendly staff. I went to the college a few blocks away and whenever I was in the mood for Japanese, I came here .
My first time coming out of my comfort zone with sushi was here, I got the dynamite roll which was oh so delicious. The Dynamite roll consisted of crab meat and avocado and a spicy mayo sauce. My mouth waters as reminisce about it.

Tiny but awesome. Had the chicken teriyaki lunch box here which was filling without making me sick. Not sure if it’s one of those attorney hangouts for lunchtime but I could see this place being one. I definitely didn’t feel self-conscious or overdressed here. Glad I was able to discover this place & would go back.

Good selection in terms of specialty rolls. The White Pearl was delicious — and it’s hard to find good rolls with scallop. The miso was very seaweed heavy and the salad was watery. Otherwise the chicken katsu was good. Of the sushi places on the block it stacks up nicely

Today I enjoyed the Montague Roll. I was a little hesitant at first to try a sushi roll with mango in it o_O but the taste actually blended nicely with the lobster salad and piece of salmon. I’ve been here numerous times in the past and have no complaints! The spicy Tuna Roll is pretty good too. It’s very hard to screw up sushi lol expect a good meal!

Everything is plain there is not much flavor the California roll is blah like no taste; Kano salad was okay and the salad was very dry with only lettuce & dressing which was thick; pork katsu was really good though the waiter could have been better at explaining it wasn’t a bento box.

Food is pretty good. Unfortunately, they always screw up the order. Half the time, there is no soy sauce even if they specifically say they put it in. Also, today I was missing a coke, soy sauce, and the teriyaki sauce. I don’t really like running back from my office to get the missing pieces.

Loving my new Brooklyn post-deposition lunch spot! Only a couple blocks from the courthouse, this is a terrific place. It’s really cute and intimate (although noticeably slanted), super clean, and really really fast if you don’t have a lot of time. Service is rather cold, but efficient and not at all rude.
Most importantly, the cuisine is quite delicious. In particular, I love their salmon sushi, chicken tempura (perfect), and miso soup. Great value too.
… and now my mouth is watering!

My favorite roll here is the Montague roll. Service is prompt and friendly. My first time ordering food I was hungry and in a rush. Owen recognized this and was quick to help.

One of my favorite Japanese local spots. I’ve been coming here since my college days at St Francis. It’s not super fancy but the staff is super attentive, the restroom is clean and the fish is fresh! Try the «yama» roll its delish and my favorite drink here is the «nanatori dream» — friday nights at 8pm this place gets packed

I frequent Nanatori at least once a month during the school year when I attend St. Francis for my monthly district meetings.
They have a lunch special and you won’t be spending more than $ 15. It’s pretty crowded around lunchtime but the turn around is quick.
The staff are friendly for the most part

Came here for a lunch with a friend. we both ordered the sashimi lunch. For $ 13, it comes with a salad and soup — I was full on those two items before the fish even made it to me!
You also get a side of rice (white or brown) — my friend opted for brown and I nixed the rice altogether (yeah I know. Im the only Asian that doesnt like rice).
My fish seemed fresh: I had 3 pieces of tuna, salmon, white tuna (which was sinewy), and snapper (?) or hamachi (?)… quite fresh and delightful… I ended up giving a few pieces to my friend because it was simply too much for me to fit in my stomach.
All in all — great service (water glasses were promptly re-filled throughout the meal) and the check was brought after we finished — perfect for a rush-y lunch on a weekday!

Today was my first time trying this restaurant. I am not amazed. I ordered a lunch box which was about 875 and it was very tiny. I was served one piece of broccoli one baby carrot. I ordered a fish teriyaki lunchbox but the fish was drenched in the teriyaki sauce and it tasted very salty. The fish was also very crispy that I was having a hard time cutting, I was served with no knife. My waiter payed no attention to me until another waiter assisted me. I will not return I have other options as far as Japanese that are way better. Nevertheless I still left a small tip. I used the bathroom which was very clean and I left. The miso soup with decent and the salad was very small. This lunchbox is not fulfilling, but the neighborhood is very nice.
