I had breakfast to-go last month. This is my first time to visit here. People are nice, they gave me suggestion when I couldn’t make decision about what to eat. The croissant with egg and ham tastes good. What really impressed me is Greene Juice!(Apple, Ginger, Vegs…) I will definitely try more next time.

ok so i’ve finally had it with this place! I’ve been coming here for years. It’s never been amazing, but its literally over the road from my house so i come here because its easy. I come here with visiting friends from England, i come here for my morning coffee, I come here with my baby mum friends and I come here for date night with my husband. I also come here alone a lot, to work or to unwind and eat alone at least once a week! I came here this evening and was firstly told that I had to sit at the bar, a new policy. I said no, i wouldn’t sit at the bar. The host then allowed me to sit at a table because I was a regular and then when I turned to look at her she was speaking badly about me to her coworker. I tried to explain that i would be ordering a lot and she walked away mid sentence. I ordered the burger and it arrived cold with undercooked potatoes. The waitress said she would deal with it but never came back. So I covered my plate with my napkin and waited patiently, she came back over 20 mins later and explained that she had reordered potatoes. I explained I was done with the really cold under cooker dish and could i order something else. she said yes and i ordered the chicken and mashed potato. It arrived promptly, i thought this was because the restaurant understood that i had been so unhappy with my previous order that i needed to reorder. but it was under seasoned and tasted very average. By this point I was starving and ate the whole thing, wanting to get out of there i asked for the check and it arrived with 2 full orders on there! They charged me full price for the order i didnt eat! i brought this up with the waitress and she deducted $ 6 for the potatoes, i still had to pay for the cold burger. i left as quickly as possible and will never return, oh and last week i went in her for a morning coffee, i asked the douchy pretentious guy which was stronger an Americano or Drip coffee, he replied with«i think you need to go to starbucks» lol, seriously!!! i explained that i meant which had the strongest taste and he replied with, well you like to think you take your coffee seriously but you better not have milk in it as connoisseurs never have milk. i tried to explain that in italy all morning coffee is served with milk, he said cappuccino is not coffee, i said that’s like saying penne is not pasta, i realised the conversation wasn’t worth having. He was a dick, they are all idiots, ill never go back.

I frequent this establishment all of the time, despite my three stars. It is baby/kid friendly with always available seating. The layout is very cozy while being open and, during the day, bright. They make wonderful lattes. And, I believe, offer free wifi. If I were rating this as a daytime coffee shop to sit and get work done comfortably while sipping lattes and ordering lunch and having all the time in the world, I might give it five stars. Can’t give it five stars though really because I go for dinner, generally, and the food is just ok in my opinion. Also, though the service is *always* friendly — for some reason, it is always takes FOREVER to eat here.

Great spot. Went here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered coffee’s to begin with and then decided on breakfast. Coffee was great. I ordered on omelette with spinach and avocado. I also had a freshly squeezed juice. The café was moderately busy and the lady that was working was attentive sand lovely. Food was served quickly — and looked amazing. Tasted even better. Definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely fabulous breakfast at Nero Doro this morning. My friend and I walked in and were happily greeted by a young gentleman who told us to sit where we like. Menus and water were brought over right away and he immediately asked us if we’d like to start with some coffee. For me that’s perfect especially first thing in the morning. We ordered the French Toast and the Omelette with tomatoes and onions. They were both super delicious, tasty and very fresh. Coffee and Latte were strong and bold. And the price was perfect. My only reservation is parking. It is a difficult neighborhood especially Fridays with alternate side parking. So take that into consideration if you drive. Other than that I definitely recommend this restaurant as a great breakfast spot.

We came here for a large family brunch and the service was great. Very helpful with our toddler and they accommodated all our food requests with a smile. The food was good and the coffee and juices delicious.

I really do enjoy NeroDoro after accidentally stumbling upon it a few weekends ago. You see my boyfriend and I were originally planning to go to Speedy Romeo which is across the street, but it had a two hour wait and I’m really not into waiting. So we decided to venture across the street and check this place out. Inside is very cute and I like how open the place feels, probably because it has a wall of windows that they open up in the summer. Our server was very friendly and attentive the entire time we were there and this place actually gives you bread! I’m sorry but too many places are slacking on the whole bread thing lately and that’s not cool, mad props for that. I had the Pappardelle al salmone and omg it was so good! Can I just take a bath in it? In all seriousness though it’s really good, you get a decent amount of salmon, the sauce is very creamy which I like and the pasta was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the steak and I tried some. Let me first say I’m really not a steak person, but I did enjoy it and he thought it was great. Come here and treat yo self! I’m going to have to try this place for brunch too. I see they have buy one get on half off brunch drinks, I’m into that and the menu is a tad cheaper for brunch.

Beautiful and cozy inside but always empty. Why? Because the menu is super boring and is over priced. Been living down the street for two years and refuse to go again until they change it. They would get so much business from people who didn’t want to wait for the long wait for Speedy too. Bad business move. Also the owner over contacts you if you write a review that is unsavory and tries to pitch you with why the place is good. It’s just better to take it in and reflect. PS) in relation to this below what is wrong with a review being edited multiple times?

Totally agree with the person a couple down. The servers seem VERY unhappy to be there. We normally love this place. We come in almost every weekend for brunch. It’s kind of our local spot. Today, we came in with a bigger group. The service was awful. The music was playing(which is normally great) but the connection was bad and it kept screeching. Finally, we went up to our server and ask her if she realized. She said she did and that it gets even worse… uhhh. really? that’s your answer? Then the male server(the guy with the dreadlocks) said, «too bad it’s bothering you. that’s just the way it is.» Astonishing. Turn off the music if its hurting your customers ears. Other than that, the food is good and it’s pretty cheap.

Carrot soup yes. Music yes. Ambience and friendly service. Yes. Fantastically diverse menu. Fresh ingredients make the dishes taste great and clearly provide the nourishment that is lacking in a less conscientious place. Clinton Hill ideal.

I’ve never been to a restaurant where the flavor of the food just popped in your mouth! Excellent, excellent food!

The food was mediocre the service was okay. The best part of brunch was the freshly squeezed orange juice. It was extremely fresh and tasty. I’d pass through solely for the beverage.

NeroDoro is not a bad neighborhood spot, I’ve been in BedStuy for about four years now. I’ve tried it many times because of its convenience(i.e., close proximity, etc.). The breakfast and brunch menus are great, the food is good and that’s pretty much what I have been coming back here for. The three star is really for their lunch and dinner menus. They market themselves as an Italian spot, but I see very little Italian food in their menu. Not much variety and the food is kind of so so, just okay, nothing great to write about really. One thing the place is great for is if you want to do some work on your laptop and want to be away from home. They have free Wi-Fi and they don’t rush you out of the place so they can get the next customer(like some other places out there). There’s no need to anyway since the place is never really packed. So, if you ever need a place away from home to get some work done quickly, this is a good spot, they have a variety of hot and warm drinks. Definitely a place worth trying at least once if you live in the neighborhood.

Agh! Nero, I want to love you so much! And there are tons of reasons I do – good food, interesting menu, $ 10 soup and sandwich lunch combo, great Wi-Fi and a comfy place to work in the afternoon. BUT the service is what knocks me down two whole stars. Spent two hours yesterday listening to two different employees complain to customers about each other, have waited ages to have a drink order taken or a credit card swiped, and ultimately, the people who work here seem super UNHAPPY. So my advice to management — support your staff, give them what they need and then Nero Doro can really shine!

There is at least one passive aggressive waiter with no respect to customer. Apathetic owner too, who I once thought was kind and lovely. Too bad. In a word: one does not simply pseudo-whisper smack about the only customer in the room within ear-shots in a near-empty restaurant — time to graduate from high school, yea?(Previous Incident: over the course of several weeks when I went to eat at NeroDoro, one waiter always just took away my dish or utensils before I finished eating, during non-busy hours — without asking. I complained directly to the waiter on the spot. He whispered and exaggerated my complaint to his fellow staff the next time I went to eat and spend the afternoon there.) Makes me wonder perhaps it’s more than unintended disrespect. Plus, I was becoming a regular. On top of that, food really isn’t all that special, somewhat good, but ABSOLUTELYNOTHING I’d dream of. Considering other options in the neighborhood, I really won’t go back, and have encouraged my friends in the area to look elsewhere. This place makes me feel extremely unwelcome in the community as a newcomer and being a minority in the neighborhood. Just. Don’t. Go. Plenty of other comparable if not better eateries with coffees and wines within 10-min walk. P. s. I tried to communicate with the owner about the incident days before posting this review. The silence is so loud that it’s violent. Time to let others know. HORRENDOUS. Update: Turns out, owner tried to reach me via message here after seeing this, and I lost track b/c of reasons. So taking back the owner not being responsive part. Still, a personnel issue was there and I hope they are better now. Not that I’ll be back in Bed-Stuy anytime soon lol

Nice, not too busy, local place for brunch. Has a great open-air feel. We dropped in for brunch on a Sunday and there was no waiting. This place is known for their juices. DH ordered a mixed juice with orange and berries. It was very tasty and came in a Mason jar. I got the french toast, which tasted exactly as expected. Nothing extraordinary here. A light sear on the french bread, light egg coating, powdered sugar and fruit. Beautifully plated. Fruit was okay, but not stellar. A piece of strawberry seemed a bit old. DH’s Eggs Benedict was well executed. Also tasted as expected, but better than the french toast. Nice and savory. The«salad» was a bit strange… iceberg with Italian-like dressing. Didn’t seem to fit with the composition of the dish. Hash browns were nicely browned. DH says, «Classic and well prepared. Salad offset the heaviness of the eggs.» Our friends got the pancakes and polenta with mushroom and egg. The polenta is definitely one of their better choices — super flavorful and creamy. I didn’t try the pancakes, but they looked good. :) Overall, a good local place for brunch. Order the savory stuff!

Casual café setting with salads, pastas paninis and pastries. People tend to come in and sit with laptops and books. Friendly neighborhood vibe with chill music and an airy open feel inside. I enjoy the tuna salad and the chicken salads. The pastas are consistent. Found out today that they have a kids menu as well.
