Decent and cheap Chinese fast food, fit my expectations. Offers brown rice, food not greasy.

I have to agree with the other reviews. Typical, hood Chinese food. Large portions and inexpensive. The lady who takes your order is nice. I love their beef lo mein(I always ask them to make it a little spicy. So good!) Cash only.

Typical fast food Chinese place. Location is very convenient for me. The lady that takes the order is super nice. Never gives me problem when asked to provide extra sauces, fortune cookies, etc. I like how their food is not drowned in all the sauces that go into their meat dishes, seems a bit healthier.

The food is plentiful and inexpensive. It’s ready in no time flat. If you want it spicy, you need to drill it into their heads that you want it spicy. Otherwise, they assume you kind of want it spicy, but not really. As far as neighborhood Chinese take-out goes, this place is top notch. I’ll definitely be ordering from New Fat Cheng again.

Pretty good typical east coast hood Chinese food. Fast, cheap, and yummy. Seems cleaner than the other Chinese joints in Bed Stuy. Wouldn’t travel to far to get food from here, but if you’re in the area or live around here Fat Cheng will fatten up your night.

I was walking home from Sweet Revenge [ at an hour that shall not be named, and was staaaarving. Thankfully New Fat Cheng was in my periphery on the way to the subway. After some debate, I decided to order tofu and broccoli with garlic sauce. I was given the option of white or brown rice, which I really appreciate… especially in Bed Stuy! I’ve encountered several places in the neighborhood that only offer white rice. NOTOKAY. The dude who took my order was nice, and my food was ready in no time at all. The garlic sauce was reeeallly delicious. I was so excited, because sauces can be hit or miss. The broccoli was good, too. The tofu was fried pretty well, which is a rarity. Many take-out places that I’ve encountered, in an effort to be more time efficient, often do not leave the tofu in the fryer long enough… and everything kind of turns into a slime-y, un-firm mess. Not at NFCs, though! There’s no place to sit inside… it’s strictly take out. But that’s okay. There are very few times that I can recall in which I went to Chinese restaurant in search of something other than take out.
