Love this place. I spend so much time here, it’s beginning to feel like an extension of my apartment. An awesome boozy extension. Plus Melissa and Mike are the tits!

The bartenders are fun, engaging and knowledgeable about the beers on tap. The patterns are fun to talk to and very welcoming. A true neighborhood bar!

Place was really chill one bartender at the time which made it kind of hard to order luckily wasn’t too crowded. They have happy hour everyday till 8 starting at 4 I think. One thing they are missing is food but you can pick a place to have deliver to the bar. They have a whole binder full of menus which is a plus to that negative. The prices were pretty low on the drinks paid $ 40 for 2 beers 4 drinks and a shot. It’s a great neighborhood charm to walk up the block and get some drinks.

This place rocks. So many beers available and decent prices. It’s really low key and they play great music. Bartenders are always friendly and efficient. You can order food in, or bring in your own. The front part of the bar has a few booths, but the backyard is the place to be in the summer. Lots of picnic tables and space to relax. Great alternative for those of us who don’t have a yard or roof to chill on in the summer. The scene is really mixed-all ages, not too hipster. My only major complaint is that they allow smoking in the backyard, so they smell can get awful back there for non smokers.

I came here last weekend with my friend. They have a full bar, great beer selection, but this is not the place where you can get nice cocktail. Atmosphere is great, bartenders are friendly but not so fast and I liked the music. This is a nice brooklyn style neighborhood pub, will be back.

I imagine Nostrand Avenue Pub is what 4th Avenue Pub was like at its inception. It’s very low-key and the bartenders are generally competent and friendly. Lately, I’ve noticed some new faces that are not knowledgeable about the beer list and very, very awkwardly ask, «So do you want to open a tab?» I’m all for bartenders getting their cash, but when you ask for my credit card before you’ve even handed me your beer, I can tell you’re green and/or under-confident. The backyard can get(cigarette-)smoky, but there are lots of rickety metal tables/picnic tables to choose from. If you are sitting outside and planning to stay awhile, I recommend getting yourself a spot at the bar or in a booth at the VERY first sign of rain– those that do won’t end up awkwardly standing behind the bar-sitter once the downpour starts. This is a great place to watch not-exactly-mainstream sports– they showed Belmont Stakes pre-coverage(even on Friday night!) and willingly played several Women’s World Cup games.

Excellent beer selection, often with rare or unusual finds. Good prices and happy hour.

This place isn’t trying to be your BFF. It still has that same paint smell it had when it first opened. It’s like your neighbor that you hang out with after work. It’s a good place to sit in the backyard and have a beer. Everyone needs one of these.

Always a good time here. Good beers on tap. Friendly bartenders. No kitchen though but you can order food and bring in. Although it has a neighborhood vibe, it is more of the transplant neighborhood bar. But not necessarily do u cheap hipsters though so that’s cool.

Nostrand Avenue Pub is DOPEASFUCK Trevor is an amazing bartender from the best state in the Union. Mitch runs the joint but takes the time to learn his customers’ names and chat with them about their experience. Free pretzels. Narragansett on tap. Cool people.

OK for beer, but liquor is expensive and they give short pours(definitely below average anyway). On top of that, when I’ve ordered a few and tip well, I like to be treated a tad, but I feel like a robot is pouring my drink every time. Sitting at the bar, I never felt this place was very socially warm. It definitely won’t be a hang out spot for me.

I came here the night of New Year’s eve — and it was fairly crowded. I liked their communal tables — which would be great for large groups. I only stopped by drinks — so not sure if there is food in this place. I’m sure there is — those tables were too large to not any. Service was timely. staff seemed attentive.

This is the perfect neighborhood pub that you have to get to. It’s the representation of gentrification on Nostrand Ave, drawing in a diverse crowd of hipsters and brooklynites. They have a solid tap selection, which I believe rotates on a seasonal basis. They frequent many of the same brands(like Hitachino) but rotate out the varieties(like white ale in the summer, espresso stout in the winter). They carry many US-based craft labels as well, many from the New England region(like saranac, smuttynose, otter creek, etc.) I hear that they have snacks like pretzels. But I’ve frequently ordered delivery without any issues(mostly from Rosco’s).

I have been to this spot a handful of times. I tip extremely well — most recently $ 110 on a $ 40 tab. I owns bars, i bartend bars, so I know how it is. I stopped in on 10÷7÷14 about 11PM and asked for a drink — explained I have tipped well recently and Thea told me «Unless i know who you actually are, no». Welp, guess what Thea? Now you do. This place is a gentrification haven and even so, I do my best to send my black friends here because I have had really good experiences in the past. Not anymore. Thea ruined it for y’all fam. I wont be coming back. Bartenders there — blame it on her.

This is the sweetest surprise in the area. The bar has a good selection and a very welcoming atmosphere. It’s super laid back and chill. Not a lot of the locals come here though, it mostly comes off as a hipster bar. Yet you can find so many different people while hanging out there. The bartenders are really nice too! I will definitely drink here again when I am visiting New York.

Meet up with my dad here for drinks. Its a cozy new bar on Nostrand with a great tap selection ample seating for the size of the bar and a nice quiet patio in the back. Since it was a nice day, we were out in the back drinking Ommegang Cooperstown Ale. It’s a limited run summer ale by the geniuses at Ommegang. It was actually the perfect beer for a father and son talking about baseball, life in NY and summer. Happy hour runs til 8pm and the beers are still reasonably priced after that. The bar has no food other than pretzels but its ok to bring in your own or order in. All in all, a great chill beer bar in Crown Heights.

Just realized I been popping in least once a week since I moved to the neighborhood 4 months ago. Looks like they earned a review. This place is solid. Smart, curated beer selection; big, beautiful backyard with plenty of seating; bright eyed, open minded mix of patrons always happy to conversate. This place is like the Cheers of Crow Hill. Don’t usually name drop here but in closing yeah, shout outs are in order for Chris and Colin, two het doods who always make me and my husband feel the love when they’re bartending. This place has absolutely improved my Q of L. Thanks Nos P.

Great local bar with a good selection of both. I drink gin and their gin and tonics are very cheap which makes me very likely to return. Plus they’ve got a lot of seating, both indoor and out.

++ — Lots of beer choices at decent prices + — You can bring your own food, some nearby places people from our party enjoyed: Chris(across the street), Smokey’s(about two block away on Fulton), Gina’s(Idk where), or you can order a pizza — The back area is great for a meet up or large group gathering — /+ — Kind of dingy in the front, but the back area is cool — One of the few places that allows smoking on premises
