I like this market, they have wild salmon n fresh seafood. And they are very friendly. They are the only market have organic salad veggies in that neighbour. I hope they will sell more organic food. I don’t like the one on ave U, seabay, they seems under the same owner but the cashiers are not nice. Besides, .the store smell terrible.

I’ve been here maybe 8 – 10 times in the last year. I usually walk over from my friends house and leave my car around E12. The two times I drove in. My car gets damaged. I had one car dinged up and another car with a deep scratch. Yes I can see the joke forming. As the service was great. The food quality seems good. But seriously, I will never park my car at that poorly configured parking lot again.

chinese grocery with a great selection of very inexpensive, fresh fruits and vegetables; fresh seafood, a decent selection of Russian goods including A few varieties of Russian beer, and various Chinese cooking utensils like rice cookers. and they have their own parking lot.

I was here saturday evening after leaving a bbq a block over. my friend who was giving me a lift needed some groceries and, since it was right there AND there was a parking lot, we stopped in. As we were walking in, there was a sign in poorly scribbled chinese(i can’t read chinese by the way, so i just assume it was poorly scribbled) and my friends wife pointed out«does that say lobster 3.99lb»? I thought it was a typo, but def made a mental note. So we walk in and, like always, its not crammed with people at all. Unlike the other markets on ave u, you don’t get shoved around. Produce is priced fairly and the place is clean. CLEAN! thats not something that you see a lot in these markets. I liked that when i asked for some boneless pork belly, the guy actually came out from behind the counter and walked me over to where they keep them. Maybe it was because the place was kind of empty or he just assumed i didn’t speak chinese, who knows, but it was nice. i appreciated the service. So I walked over to the lobster tanks and *BLAM* 3.99 a pound. But what would i do with all the lobster i would probably buy? Thats when i told my friend to pick up four lobsters while i ran across the block and stole the rest of my other friends hot dog buns. OK so that portion had nothing to really do with the place but i just thought i’d mention it. All in all, the place is nice, clean and and not cramped at all. The best part is the parking lot because theres almost no other parking in the area.

Needs more management attention! I usually come this market because of its location where I transfer my bus after work. Recently, I had noticed that their farm products are not as fresh as they should be and the prices are like or more than the others at bay pkwy. I was there with my friends today, doing some basic grocery shopping. The broccolis were dry and yellowish, the other veges were near their end-shelf-life and the fruits were not fresh. here comes the horrible part, I was looking for soy milk mix and found them to be all expired for over a year and half! My friend notice even worse thing, she saw this pre-packaged herbal dried product with live bugs within! I actually care enough to bring these 2 products to the cashier’s attention and she forwarded them to the ordering/shellfish team, I don’t think they took it seriously. Oh well, I tried. I probably will not come back to this market, I will go to the ones on E 15 St instead. So if you still wants to go because of the convenient parking lot, just be careful to check out the expiration date and the freshness of the perishable produces.

Although it is in competition with the other 3 major Chinese supermarkets on the strip of Avenue U between Ocean Avenue and Coney Island Avenue, it has a distinct advantage. This supermarket actually has a parking lot! What a genius idea! Unlike the other 3 markets on Avenue U, where many drivers have to scramble for parking spots, you never have to worry about it here. Although I don’t live too far from Avenue U, if I did, I would definitely go to this market all the time since I prefer to drive. With that said, the prices at this market are pretty much standard for all of their items. I noticed maybe a slight markup on their frozen meats, pre-packaged meats, but it’s only by a few cents at the most. As for their fruits and vegetables, the prices are on par with the others. The food is of the same quality as well. There tends to be less patrons at this market though because it isn’t at the heart of Avenue U and is instead located on Coney Island Avenue. I usually see more people of other ethnicities here than of Chinese ethnicity as well. I think it’s just due to the convenience of the parking lot and that the majority of the people who drive here are from further areas. Since it is rarely crowded, the parking lot never is full. I would recommend this supermarket to anyone who needs to drive to a Chinese supermarket and cannot ever find parking. The prices are the same and there are less people here so you don’t have to deal with overcrowding. Also, they accept credit cards!
