If you looking for a great Corn Beef n Cabbage and a Guinness on St Patrick’s Day there is no place better to get it than at Pippins Pub on 3rd avenue in Brooklyn. You will not be disappointed! If you’re looking for a place with local flavor on weekdays or weekend Pippins is your place for great drinks, burgers or whatever you desire. There is a full menu with just about everything imaginable at a Bar/restaurant.

This place has officially reopened after being closed for three months. Same exact bar/food/menu, same great employees, but in a much bigger bar with more seating. A great place to get a drink and watch a game with some of the best burgers and wings in Brooklyn.

I’m commenting on the pop up location on 91st and 3rd Avenue. Ordered a burger to go w fries onion rings and soup. The waiter too way to long to recognize me to place the order. Too busy talking to his coworkers. Found it rude. Burger was good ground sirloin. Ordered it med outside was a bit overcooked inside good. One problem. No taste! No salt no pepper nothing nada. I was quite dissapointed. Burger was big but the bun was dry and way oversized so I had to peel the bread to get a bite into burger. I might try them again in person not take out.

My favorite neighborhood burger… Super comfortable place to jump In for a beer and a bite. Not too much of a scene and the staff is incredibly nice and attentive. So bummed they are closing soon. Definitely check out this neighborhood gem.

Pippins has the best burgers in town. Wednesday prime rib special has to be experienced. $ 20 for the works. Don’t know what Jillian R is talking about in her review the clientele and staff at Pippins is top shelf.

After an extensive back and forth with the owner he apologized and will talk to his staff about how to appropriately handle these situations moving forward. I hope he follows through.

When I heard Pipin’s was going to close, I had to finally get off my lazy ass and try one of their burgers. For years I’ve heard nothing but good things. I had come here once before with the intent to, but there was a 20 – 30 min wait and I’m as impatient as it gets. So I get here on a Saturday and I was promptly handed a menu and that I looked at for about two seconds because I had already knew what I wanted; A Pipin’s Burger, which is a 10oz Beef burger, Bacon, and cheese. Pair that with a draft beer and I was set. The burger lived up to my expectations. It was juicy and flavorful. The bacon was cooked just right too, which is not a given nowadays. The one thing I noticed they do differently is their bun. Instead of a regular seeded hamburger bun, they serve the burger on what appears to be a roll. Its thick on the bottom and thin/crispy on top. It compliments the burger well. The fries that came with it were good too. Thick, but still crunchy, and they were homemade. The service was fast, and the food was good. As for as drinks go, they had about 6 or 7 beers on tap, numerous bottled beers and a full bar with a ton of drink specials. All in all my bill was $ 25 for the burger and 2 drafts. Not bad. If you’re in the neighborhood, hit up Pipin’s before they close down.

Shared a fabulous 20 oz ribeye topped with fried onions with my husband. MORE than enough for 2! Also enjoyed a baked potato & string beans. Really well prepared & delicious. A great neighborhood place!

A great bar, with great service, and great food! You can’t ask for more especially with the choices you’ve got around there. Only thing is that parking is quite difficult to find in that neighborhood but that’s not the bars fault so let’s look at what is their fault! –They have a great selection of beer. –Their tidbits are legit off the hook. I’ve tried only the steak and they are just amazing, melted mozzarella cheese on top of steak laid on some good old fashioned Italian bread with bbq sauce on the side and fries. –Their cheddar burger is quite delicious too, that cheddar is something else I tell you. –Their service is top notch and they always take care of you. –Also good selection of tvs playing different things if you’re not interested in who you brought there :) I’m just surprised when i see families in there with babies and whatnot. I get its a sit down spot but at the end of the day you are a parent who brought their child(baby I should say) into a bar. But what do I know, I’m some dumb Brooklyn kid. All I know is I like Pippins and you will too! Come Tuesday for tidbits fyi! $ 10 special!!!

Nice bar and amazing burgers!!! Probably one of the top burgers in Bay Ridge. Great place to watch games. However, if you are a soccer fan you will be able to watch the game if nothing else is on…

It’s our favorite little neighborhood place to unwind on a Friday night after a busy week. Solid burgers, good beer, nice people. Only downside is that the dining area is pretty small so if you don’t get the timing right, you are standing and waiting for a table for at least 20 – 30 minutes. The place next door is available for rent, I’m thinking its only a matter of time before Pippin’s gets a little bigger???

This place is fine as far as local dive bars go. I have no complaints. They even had some cool drink specials. I did not try the food here so I cannot really comment on that. I did like the BK feel.

A friend recommended Pipin’s and of course we had to come. Not to mention that I live around the neighborhood and was surprised that I never went or heard of this spot. My bf got a jack sour and I ended up getting the same thing. I’m not really a whiskey person, but the drink was so good I ended up really enjoying my drink. It was strong, but with the sour mix it was just a perfect balance of flavor. Once we were sitting down, we were convinced to get their cheddar cheese burger with cheese on the fries. I’m so glad I listened to their recommendation because their burger was delicious! It is served in a panini roll and I have to say that the bread was crunchy and such a perfect combination with their burger. I have to admit that I am not a burger person and am very picky when I eat burgers, but this place definitely does it for me. They give a little bit of fries with it, but the portion is perfect for the meal. I also don’t know what type of cheddar cheese they use, it’s different from other cheeseburgers, but it just hits the spot. As far as service, no complaints. Our waitress was very nice and came to our table everything we needed anything. I will definitely be coming back for some more Pipin’s.

Go to pipin’s and order a pint, chicken wings(spicy and well-done), ABC burger(avocado, bacon, blue cheese), and another pint. Great spot to watch the game. Friendly, service is always good. I never wait for a beer. Its a GO.

Pipin’s cheddar burger is my favourite burger of all time. I literally don’t eat burgers otherwise. The cheddar sauce is so outrageously good.

I’ve gone to Pipin’s twice. Both times were because I was craving something specific and they happened to have it on the menu. And both times everything I ordered was solid. I like the pub atmosphere(although I would prefer if the crowd were a bit younger and more diverse). The first time I went, the place was pretty crowded and slightly under staffed(to be fair it was just after hurricane Sandy). The second time it was very tastefully decorated for the holidays with the fire place lit and a healthy amount of people. If you’re in the mood for pretty good bar food, and don’t care about the crowd, I would highly recommend this place.

A longtime Bay Ridge landmark, Pipin’s has decent pub food and its a nice place for that far end of the neighborhood –especially because down that way, bar choices start to peter out. Lots of folks swear by it. Clean décor; cozy furnishings, prompt service. Overall the whole experience is fine. No major complaints. Pipin’s is probably most infamous in Bay Ridge because they serve their burgers on ‘ciabatta’ rolls which is their special ‘way’ of doing it. Some people adore this; I myself would wish for a standard burger bun – just matter of personal preference. Anyway. The one primary observation about Pipins which ought to be mentioned – the one thing I can say about it – the one very spooky aspect to the place – is that its a devoted METS bar. Like, bizarr-o, otherworldly, alternate-dimension, Mets reality, some strange fantasy landscape where the Mets are really the true #1 New York team and recognizing the New York Yankees never occurs, at all. The baseball chatter is just not like normal MLB chatter you overhear in the rest of the neighborhood. The crowd at Pipin’s on baseball nights– is somewhat disgruntled. Stewing in their own juices. Most of the night you will hear only grumbling or muttering; but then occasionally someone will spout something just so far out there, like, the weirdest sports gibberish you’ve ever heard. Typical example: «Mannn…eh!(groan) That Derek Jeter .y’eah, he’s the worst of the lot. hypocrite…what a fraud. most over-rated player in baseball. fraud…yeah.yup.uh-huh…I hear you… look at his actual numbers, that says it all.» All the regulars lined up all down the bar, will sit there nodding their heads vigorously. And the bartender – a huge, giant, ape of a man – will slowly look around the bar to see if anyone dares to disagree. Ha. Mets fans in this part of Brooklyn perhaps congregate and conspire here in secret, plotting their dastardly revenge against the Yankee Universe. Hushed voices, drawing diagrams and schematics on their napkins, occasionally mentioning something like, «Well Mulvaney – you know – Jerry’s oldest boy – he works there – he told me he knows the fix is in! He saw the signals being passed around!» If you’re there with your friends, you might not really notice this so much. But I was there as apparently– a lone Yankee fan – and I definitely felt chilly. Otherwise – this is a perfectly a-ok place to stop in. Service
