Lapin and I went to here because we wanted to try«better» pizza than 2 Bros. We ordered three plain slices and the total came up to $ 9. The place to be honest was a little filthy and the seasoning jar was crusted with black mildew along with the tables being filthy. The pizza itself lacked flavor and the crust was medium thickness but lack crunchy. The guy who served us had an attitude and he never cleans his hands after touching money… instead he goes right back to making that pizza.

A little bigger and nicer than the other pizzeria on this block. They have a decoration or two on the wall. Their plain slice is solid and they have enough sense to heat it up NOT to the point that it burns your mouth.

i ordered a large pie from this place, the entire pie minus ½ slice went into the garbage, I was going to call to complain about the OLD pizza that was being passed off as fresh when I realized that any complaints would fall on deaf ears, On a moving forward basis I will not be a repeat customer

— for trying to swindle change, if i did not ask for a receipt the guy was going to charge me 21 for 2 heros and 2 snapples. I asked for receipt he grumbled and what you know the bill was 19.55, he then toss the change on the counter. so folks always ask for a receipt. would give 1 start, but let’s say we will give the clerk the benefit of the doubt he overcharged… and was being a con… — for luke warm food, the eggplant and meatballs should have been piping hot they were not taste was OK, not good and def not great. not original or special in anyway.

I love thin crust pizza. This place has really tasty crust. Sauce and cheese also had great flavor. Stopped in just for a slice while visiting a friend in the hospital. I asked a hospital worker who mentioned Pipitones. The staff were great and friendly. Will go there again when in the area.

Small hole in the wall type place. The entire room only seats 10. Great pizza and nice employees.

Love this place. I used to walk by every day from Dekalb Ave station on my commute home from work, so occasionally, I had it for dinner. Reasonably priced, fine pizza. Great staff– A few times, when I stopped in right before closing, they’d ply me with free slices. As said, it’s a fine pizza joint, but what keeps me coming back are the chicken and tomato slices. They’re just absolutely delicious, and you can’t find anything else quite like it in the neighborhood.

I stumbled upon this little place and ended up in a pizza coma. Good crust. The pepperoni was good. The eggplant was delicious. I love NY.

Good spaghetti and meatballs, but it’s one of those places that you should probably just order from Seamless instead of going to because you’d rather not see it(if you catch my drift). Nothing obviously gross/dirty, but definitely way below expectations compared to the food.

Best pizza in the immediate location for a slice of pizza. Tomato and garlic is my personal favorite!

Way too expensive at 2.70 a slice, a lame boring slice, a rather tasteless slice, an un characteristic slice, ANOTHER Mexican slice.

1 ½ hours for terrible food! Ugh. Two time I called to ask where it was. The guy was rude and could only say give it a little time. I did, and it didn’t come. When it did arrive(an 1.5 hrs later), the delivery boy proceeded to give me attitude when I asked him what happened. Food was definitely not worth the wait.

I have no complaints. I love the pizza and they are friendly guys. I’ve been going there for at least 5 years and still haven’t had a bad experience. The crust isn’t too thick, which I love. The worst thing that ever happened was I opened the box after delivery and the cheese kind of slid a bit. I’d just move the cheese back and eat it.

This is my go-to pizza delivery place in the area. I’ve tried other places, but keep coming back to Pipitone’s. Good balance of crust /sauce /cheese. The sauce is tangy, the mushrooms are fresh, and delivery is fast.

I think this is the best NY slice in Fort Greene/Clinton Hill. I like their pizza slices much more than Not Rays, Luv-N-Oven, Luigi’s, etc. It is a quality slice. Their prices are a bit high, but I can deal. Of course a gas oven place like this can’t compete with Graziella’s or Franny’s, but when you just want a slice, this is a good place to go.

Maybe I got a bad pizza considering the other reviews are so high, but I thought it was sub par.

My go-to pizza spot when im at Brooklyn Hospital. Fast, friendly service for a pretty decent slice. I really dont understand how this is 4 stars right now as its just a hole in the wall spot that basically is in existence to serve hospital patients and employees. You order your pizza at the counter, the guy throws it in the oven for 2 minutes, not too hot or youll burn your mouth, you pay, you sit down, you eat it. This sounds all too familiar…

I have to disclose to you that I am very biased about Pipitone’s. A few weeks ago I was coming home from work around 9:30 or so, starving of course. I love the margherita pizza at Graziella’s and haven’t really strayed since I found the place, with the exception of an awful slice at one of the other places on Dekalb and reasonable late-night delivery from Not Ray’s. So anyway, walking home from the subway, I paused to take in Pipitone’s storefront, wondering if it was the same place where I’d gotten the aforementioned awful slice. Just as I decided that it wasn’t, a very nice gentleman greeted me and asked if I’d like to partake of Pipitone’s 2-slices-and-a-soda special. Thinking of my upcoming September wedding, I had just decided to defer this offer in favor of a single cheese slice when, to my horror and embarrassment, I found that I did not have my wallet with me that day. Mumbling an apology, I tried to make a speedy exit, but my escape was foiled by the simple expedient of a slice on «credit.» And I had to refuse their offer of a second slice and soda. I know a slice doesn’t cost a lot, and it was near closing, but in this day and age, a little kindness goes a long way. And of course it was smart business sense too, because that slice was the best I’ve had yet in the neighborhood. I’ll still go to Graziella’s when I’m looking for a margherita pizza, but when I want a Brooklyn slice, oozing with cheese and with the perfect chewy, crispy crust, Pipitone’s is my new favorite pie.
