I’ve eaten dishes from here a number of times. Filling and not expensive.

$ 6 for sautéed hibachi-styled teriyaki chicken & broccoli. It was decent-tasting food that lasted me for the rest of the day but it did not excite my taste buds in any way. I just ate it because I was hungry and when you’re hungry, anything will do. This wasn’t authentic Japanese food; the teriyaki sauce lacked flavor and was really watered down and the broccoli was yellowing. But, the service here was really good for an Asian-owned stand.

Teriyaki Chicken Cooked In Minutes! Come On Down To Sakura Teriyaki Express, The Place To Be When You’re In 8th Avenue And You’re In The Mood For A Quick Lunch & Don’t Wanna Break Your Wallet. They Cook Your Food Right In Front Of You So You Know It’s Fresh & Never Raw. I Usually Order The Chicken Teriyaki Or The Squid With Teriyaki Topped With Teriyaki Sauce. The Vegetables That Is Served With Rice Are Somewhat Bland Which Is A Major Con. But Overall Not A Bad Food Stand To Check Out In The Fei Long Supermarket Food Court. There’s Also A Sushi Area As Well For All Sushi Lovers If You’re Not In The Mood For Rice.

My bf and I stopped by the fei long food court for a quick meal. We ended up at Sakura express because he was attracted by the sushi haha. I ordered a shrimp teriyaki and he ordered a squid teriyaki which looked so disgusting with the tentacles but he said it taste good so I guess it’s perfect for squid lovers. They gave a lot of mushrooms and cabbage along with the rice. Could nearly finish the rice after I ate all the toppings. It was about $ 6 an order which should be better quality for the price. It was so so.

Teriyaki cooked fast, served hot! Come find them inside the Fei Long Food Court. Definitely cheap for the large portion which includes lots of meat. I usually get the chicken with lo mein, flavorful and cooked perfectly on the flat top. The veggies are bland so I would just skip out on that. Otherwise, the sushi and everything else is decent, worth a shot.

The food is 3 stars but it’s so delightfully inexpensive I have to bump the place up one more(e.g $ 3 California roll, $ 5 chicken teriyaki plate). It’s located in the food court inside the Fei Long supermarket and is probably the best option there. There’s a teriyaki grill side and a sushi side, both offering cheap, satisfying, standard but tasty fare. Plus, the staff is super friendly, almost aggressively so, and the service is fast.

My mom and I love Sakura Teriyaki Express! It’s a must-get every time we go to 8th Ave since it’s a cheap, filling, and delicious meal! The cooks/servers there are really nice and give really generous portions! They cook the meat/rice right in front of you so you know it’s freshly made yay! My favorite dish definitely has to be the Chicken Teriyaki over rice. The chicken is grilled perfectly and is drenched in the delicious teriyaki sauce! I also like how the rice is slightly undercooked(slightly wet/soft). The shredded cabbage however was kind of bland if you don’t mix some of the teriyaki sauce with it. I would recommend getting the chicken over the beef because the beef was kind of dry in my opinion. Also, the pork chop option is HUGE but wasn’t as flavorful as the chicken. Although you might find a few fatty pieces in the pork chop that make it DELICIOUS! Overall, if you’re looking for something delicious, filling, and won’t break your wallet, definitely try out Sakura Teriyaki Express if you’re in the 8th Ave area!

The chicken teriyaki sample was really good and the reviews looked ok so i went back for lunch but the order(chicken & broccoli teriyaki with lo mein) although freshly prepared was actually really sadly bland. I would definitely recommend you order extra sauce if you plan to stop by!

This is the same kind of teriyaki food stall that you could find in almost all of the food courts anywhere, not just the Asian ones. This makes it the least authentic, most Americanized food stall at this location outside of the froyo one. Proper teriyaki chicken this is not. They take the marinated meat, grill it on the metal grill table, squirt some teriyaki sauce over it, steam some veggies consisting predominantly of cabbage as a side dish and then throw them all on top of some white rice. Simple, fast, and cheap good but not great tasting food at $ 5. They also serve sushi here that I have not tried. It’s the premade kind in a container sitting behind refrigerated glass.

Solid teriyaki chicken. Filling lunch or dinner. Less than 5 $. Best option in the food court I think!

Easily the best option in the Fei Long Food court, in my humble opinion. They’re quick, cook it right in front of you, so no funny business, and hey– the novelty here is that there’s no MSG. Of course, they’re still dousing everything in the salt-laden sauce, but my god it’s worth it. The man who’s behind the counter, responsible for chopping up the meat is very generous with the portions, and always gives out samples. And it’s good ! Free, good samples. If that doesn’t lure you in, I don’t know what will. Their menu is pretty narrow, with the basic teriyaki meat options, over noodles or rice. Nothing crazy or creative, but they do it pretty well. Chicken is the cheapest, at $ 4.67, before tax. They serve other meats, like beef, shrimp, pork, etc. and a combinations of both. There’s also an option for«extra-meat», which will set you back a dollar or so. Don’t be afraid to ask for more sauce, if you want. I’ve only had the chicken so far. And I must say, it’s delicious ! Once in a while, the chicken will be a bit too dry, but more sauce will fix that right up. They’ll give you a spear of broccoli or two, or a few shreds of cabbage. But it’s mostly meat. Yeees, meat. I’ve always eaten it with the noodles, just because I’m a noodle maniac. But rice works well too. They serve it in these unconventional syrofoam clam-shelled containers, with three compartments. They ignore the compartments, but I guess it makes the portion size look like there’s more than there actually is. Whatever the reason they chose this container, they fill it up. Yeah, Sakura Teriyaki Express ain’t exactly a meal in that little French restaurante that you’ve been dying to go to, nor will it be the most memorable. But when you’re stomach’s growling, and you find yourself in 8th avenue… close to Fei Long… away from all the other places to get food, it sure hits the spot !

Pretty simple, as it just opened though I did overhear someone(maybe the boss) say they’d be expanding the menu soon. So for right now, you can get beef, chicken, shrimp, and any combination except beef + chicken. Comes over rice or noodles. Not the greatest food, but it’ll fill you up. Not too greasy either, which is good. They were giving out samples of the chicken, but I had the beef over rice instead and it just wasn’t that appetizing. Maybe I’ll come back when things are settled and they get their act together.
