One of the most inappropriate ordering experiences I’ve ever had. We ordered a late night pizza around 1:30AM(we work nights) and waited two hours before calling to cancel after we had been told 3 times it would be there in just«5 more minutes.» Finally someone knocked at the door at 4:30 in the morning to deliver the pizza and woke us up. There was no integrity in this experience and what is worse is that no one seemed to care. Unreliable, inconsiderate and for average pizza.

Note: I come from Long Island, where the Italian food is phenomenal and hard to match. I’ve been looking for delicious Italian food in Clinton Hill for over a year now and finally found it at Sam’s Pizzeria. Ordered 3 items to get a good flavor for the menu. The run-down: It’s really all about the sauce. Flavorful, nicely spiced tomato sauce envelops equally flavorful meatballs in the Meatball Parm Hero. A proportionate amount of tasty cheese accompanies the hero — not over-powering, just perfect. The sauce is delicious in the Sausage Stromboli as well, as is the cheese, only both are stuffed into pizza dough — soft, chewy, luscious pizza dough. The sauce carries the Grandma Pizza Slice — dough wasn’t cooked to absolute perfection, but if I wouldn’t be disappointed if I’d bought the slice at one of the good Long Island pizzerias. Delivery was quick. Delivery man was nice and polite. ORDERFROMSAM’S FORAWESOMEITALIAN!

This place was my boyfriend and I’s favorite place for delivery, but they are literally never open. THREE times we’ve waited over an hour and a half after we order to find out that they just closed. Don’t take an order if you can’t deliver! Seriously so annoying.

This is probably one of the better cheap pizza places around the area. They seem to have a wide variety of goodlooking food, but I generally go for the pizza. The magaritta pizza is pretty damn good.

I used to frequent Sam’s before it was remodeled and changed owners. The pizza was decent and affordable. I was enticed to go in today because they had a huge sign outside advertising 1 slice + a free soda for $ 2. Clearly false advertising. As I waited for my old, salty slice to be warmed over, another man double-parked his car, came in and asked for the same deal. «That’s just for the kids,» the guy behind the counter says. «Just for kids? That’s not what your sign says,» the man said. «I pulled over and came in here because of the sign outside.» They gave it to the guy for the falsely advertised price, but I paid full price for mine. Got it home and it was almost too salty to eat and hardly any sauce. What happened to the old Sam’s?!

This place got four stars because I had to walk like half of Brooklyn looking for a pizzeria that took cards, and then I found these guys that did. That was over a year ago so I don’t know if they still do now or not. The fifth star is because the man behind the counter didn’t try to get my number or call me mami/baby which is unheard of around these parts and well appreciated. I got a cheese steak when I went and it was pretty tasty. It was cheap too at like 5 bucks. I remember it was a little small but I’m a fatty and I’m disappointed any time my portions aren’t cut out for a giant so my opinion there is a little biased.
