Great time here! The staff is so nice and they allowed me and my wife to sit and enjoy our selves. I love how they didn’t rush us out the door. They had very fresh sushi, probably the best sushi in bay ridge brooklyn. They gave generous portions and a good price for everything. The waitress was so friendly and they woman who took our order was great. Even on our way out the sushi chefs said«goodbye!». So nice i am surprised they are not more busy! Great place i will be back again and again! The best fresh sushi!

Just ordered a miso soup, a salmon and avocado roll, and a utopia role. Everything was fresh and delicious! Plus, the delivery man was so pleasant! You can’t beat that! Thank you Sapporo!

The Tempura is perfectly cooked, crisp, hot and not greasy. The Salmon sashimi is to die for — like ‘buttah’ — the staff and owner are top shelf. I love this place, take everyone I can grab to come here, so I can have some more. Have some Eel Sauce on the side, the salty sweet goodness is soooo good. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

My parents and I really like this place! Good vibes, friendly service, and some fresh sushi to keep you coming back. They have an eel over rice dish that’s really cooked to perfection. Also, highly recommending their Godzilla roll.

They have fresh, delicious sushi, and there Una-Ju is the best in the neighborhood. Great delivery service, and eating in the restaurant is awesome too, with amazing service and regular tables or tables that you can take off your shoes and sit Japanese style. I have eaten at Nobu, so the five stars is not because it is the greatest in the world, but it is as good as it gets in Bay Ridge.

I have heard so many good things about this place but unfortunately was disappointed with my first pick up order from them. Ordered Kani salad and few rolls. Salad was not fresh and sushi rolls overall was ok, but rice was too mushy an very soft. But I have to say that person who took the order over the phone was very nice and when I went in to pick up my order personnel was very nice and Japanese style sitting was very inviting.

Very fresh sushi, fair pricing, fast delivery. Easy five stars. My wife adds that the negimaki and rock shrimp tempura are both on point. I concur.

Sapporo is definitely my go-to for sushi in the area. For the most part, everything is great! And they have some nice deals if you order your meal before 5pm(discount) or if you purchase over a certain amount(free roll[s]). I’ve tried a number of the specialty rolls and except for a few, they’re mostly all winners. I also recently had the Japanese egg rolls and they were amazing! Though, when I tried some of the noodle soups, I was really not impressed. I think I’ll just stick to sushi and be happy with that.

Hands down the best sushi in bay ridge! service is always excellent, food is always fresh since they do enormous amount of take out. If you are like me and eat out constantly this is the sushi spot to go to. My favorite special roll is BLACKMOON. Enjoy !

Lunch special chicken teriyaki was awful… the chicken was too dried and the sauce was very watered down. Worst chicken teriyaki I’ve had. Won’t be coming back.

What a nice find! My friend and I just finished manicures next door, and she apparently had ate here before and highly recommended it, so we walked right in. We were there well before the dinner crowd, so we were very lucky and got to sit on the very Japanese style benches, where we had to take off our shoes, and then sit on pillows cross legged. It felt very authentic! It’s very hard to find sushi places that have tables like this, so I was pleasantly surprised! We first started with the staple of miso soup, and then we shared some amazing rolls — The Brooklyn(of course), Godzilla, and Winter rolls. We did have to wait some time, for they are really busy with take-out. The prices were a bit up there, but it was really worth the splurge. They were very tasty, filling, flavorful, and savory. These pieces were pretty big to have in one bite, but this is American-Japanese inspired. Service was a bit lacking though; we had to flag the waiter for water glasses, and other odds and ends, but when the check came, it was lightning speed of course. I would come here again solely for the atmosphere and the food.

Sapporo has excellent sushi, excellent everything. The family who owns the place is super nice, as are the servers. Even the sushi chefs will say hello and smile if you make an effort to acknowledge the hardworking men who are slicing up your fancy fish, providing you with beautifully arranged platters of maki and sushi. We particularly love the tuna dumplings as an appetizer. They are OMG good. Tuna dumplings at Sapporo are the very definition of a food orgasm. Favorite rolls are Utopia, Tropic, Sapporo, Winter, Paradise, and well, several others. And the honey-wasabi dipping sauce is soooooo good, but you have to ask for it special. The miso is some of the best I’ve had and the salads are solid as well. Dinners are a good deal. Being partial to sashimi I enjoy any of the sashimi dinners, especially the chirash. And when it comes to green tea ice cream, they have a very good one. And let’s not forgot the venerable bubble tea — excellent. It’s generally quiet, unless there’s a big party in the back or a gaggle of children. Otherwise, laid back, relaxed dining in Bay Ridge. Which by itself is worth the price of admission.

Our favorite neighborhood joints where we sit at the sushi bar and everyone knows our names. Food is classic and fresh. Chef willing to create personalized rolls based upon your food cravings of the day. Quick, friendly service.

We love everything about Sapporo; the food, the service — all of it. Everything is fresh, made very well — and presented like art when it arrives at the table. One of our favorites are the Tuna Dumplings, another is the Utopia roll. I would give them 6 stars if I could — yes, they’re that good

First time that my fellow Unilocalpers totally disappointed me. As a sushi lover that is not too picky, I can say that this is the worst sushi I’ve ever had. The fish tasted decently fresh but the rice was way too soft and not a good consistency at all. Expected some broken English going into an Asian restaurant which is fine, but we had to ask for soy sauce dishes and given chipped plates. The waitress also gave me the wrong change. They were however definitely apologetic and were happy to fulfill any requests we had. Chicken Teriyaki was made with really dry and thin chicken breast(and I’d take food court chicken teriyaki over Sapporo’s any day). Everything else was also unimpressive to say the least. Tried: Chicken Teriyaki, Mango and Smoked Salmon Roll, Spicy Dragon, Shrimp Tempura, Stir fried Seafood Udon Service: 3⁄5 Ambiance: 3⁄5 Food: 1⁄5 Price: 2⁄5
