It’s a college Starbucks, so the line can get long with students if you happen to come between classes. Only 4 two-person tables and 1 long table inside so seating is a bit sparse considering its popularity.

It’s a Starbucks. I’m not particularly a fan of the franchise because I don’t drink coffee but I do enjoy their hot chocolate. It comes in handy on New York mornings and honestly Bank of America gives me cashback to patronize the spot so that helps. This location is not very consistent though and their service tends to be a bit slow. They put priority on some drinks and not others. I waited like 12 minutes for a simple hot chocolate one morning when I was kind of in a hurry and didn’t expect a modest line to be so much a task to get through. I don’t think they manage their personnel tasking well but what do I know? I’m simply a personnel manager. Regardless, it’s a Starbucks, you’ve been to one, you’ve…

Love the coffee. Nice and easy location with small lines. The coffee is Starbucks so you do know what you are getting. If you like it then great if not font come here.

Small space with limited seating. Very quiet ambiance for Brooklyn College students. Quick and efficient counter service.

This Starbucks is probably the slowest I have been too. I usually go early in the morning around 6:30/7 and there are always only two people working with only one at the cashier. Then a line usually starts to develop and the second person never takes the hint to step in and start taking orders. At any other time it’s a hit or a miss with this place. There are a few baristas who are very good and attentive, but there are some who take their sweet time. I by pass this place if I’m in a rush. If you are not trying to go somewhere in a hurry feel free to stop by. The other thing I don’t like about this place is the set up. There is so much room in the front to put tables and instead they squeeze about 4 tables in the back right next to the bathroom which are always taken and have flies buzzing around.

Place is dirty and the bathroom is «closed». They said go to Burger King, even though I’m a paying customer. Baristas are not attentive. Not like most Starbucks I have been to.

Could be better. A few new faces here who is not use to the fast-pace, but overall, they get their job done. Usually a line due to the amount of human traffic.

I do not patronize this particular Starbucks venue: Certain staff members make bigoted homophobic slurs routinely. After making numerous complaints to management and customer service, I decided never to visit this venue. Well it all works out: NYPDNEVERSEESMEASTHETHUG/CRIMINAL ELEMENTOFNEWYORK… HaHaHaHa!!!

In customer service, the goal is to give a good product to the patron. Serve the customer in an efficient way and there’s a returning customer. Do the opposite by not owning up to a superfluous error of hearing the wrong order, AND blaming the customer, and the goal of being a horrible worker in the customer service industry is met. To a specific Starbucks employee at this establishment, don’t be a dolt; the customer is always right.

Being so close to Brooklyn College I can imagine the traffic that moves through here. I ran into a former colleague on the way in, but she wanted to stand outside and talk. I quickly exchanged business cards and made my way in with a quickness. It quite hot today and I knew my mocha café was going to be a venti with whip cream and ice. Mocha café consists of hot chocolate, coffee and expresso. OneI sip and I was straight. It’s a smaller starbucks than I am used to. There is now a cyber café and seating is limited. I scored the last table, sat enjoyed and chilled for few minutes. It was fully occupied, and I was quite pleased with my selection, and blueberry scone. Service with a smile, fast and on point. However I would think twice about going during the week day mornings. I always seem to get the down sized crowd and I am truly appreciative. Always a pleasant experience. .

Starbucks are slow and inefficient as a rule — they have more people taking orders for drinks than making them, and you can get stuck waiting for your cup of coffee behind a line of complicated drinks. But this is flat-out the worst Starbucks. They have plenty of employees, but things move ridiculously slowly anyway. They used to have a manager who kept things moving, but that’s in the past. They’ve also remodeled and taken away seating in the process… brilliant! Of course, they have a captive audience with Brooklyn College right next door, but if you’re going anywhere near a peak hour… bring a good book.

Quite a pleasant visit. My beverage was made to my liking which is rare. I always order the Chai tea latte, extra hot, no water, not foam, with soy milk. I can honestly say that this beverage was hot, just the way I like it.

I only come here because it is close to campus, if it wasn’t I wouldn’t frequent here. Usually people move like a snail even when it isnt busy. Also there is one employee who works there who I find so annoying to deal with. She’s fairly new and is really quiet and I usually have to repeat my order, she’s not very friendly either. However they recently renovated it’s such a nice store I just wish things moved quicker.

Location: Located within a block of Brooklyn college. The only good coffee shop in the area besides the Egyptian Halal Food Truck on Bedford Ave. However its always crowded! Go early before 8AM otherwise you will end up standing in line for a half hour. Sometimes the line is going out the door. Coffee: The coffee is like any other starbucks however, something you will find here that you won’t find at other places is GOODCUSTOMERSERVICE! I am a stickler for service, thats the make it or break it for me. Baristas are attentive, smiley, and happy. They are very eager to ensure their guests are happy. That makes the difference for me and if I have time, I will wait in line to get coffee. I am not sure what everyone else is talking about because I never experienced rude service here. The only downside to this place is the line wait times otherwise I’d give it another star.

They improved a bit… re-opened bathroom, and wifi seems to be working OK. They did not improve: — very loud music, it hurts my ears — all seats are in the back by the bathroom door — outlets are not working

A great place to find weirdos and wait in long lines for the most concentrated and sweet Starbucks drinks you will ever experience. There was once a young male cashier who would give me a free drink every time I came into this particular Starbucks. I thought he was being personal and kind, but then realized after about 3 times that this was a problem. I then observed that he did this with every other female customer he served, which was actually creepy. Once when the line was out the door, I watched him sweat nervously as his beady eyes frantically scanned the line for all of the attractive girls he would have to award free drinks… perhaps the regulars remember him. Another time I ordered a latte that tasted like hot milk, and the OTHER times I ordered a latte here, they were badly burnt by baristas who were busy concentrating on their hatred for their jobs. The only reason I entered this establishment so frequently was because my healthcare representative had an office located nearby. It really is the only coffee shop close enough for convenience. Please, somebody open a reputable café near the college and high school campus – you’ll make a killing and will be thanked by everyone who has suffered the torment of Hillel Place Starbucks.

When you work in the city, you see Starbucks in many incarnations. Small stands inside office buildings, larger venues with enough seating to accommodate fifty people or the more common smaller Starbucks with maybe enough room for ten to twelve people. When you go to any of the outer boroughs, things change a bit. This Starbucks is located in the site of what was once a diner, so it has ample room for its cashier station, serving area and seating. On top of all that there are little islands and a shelf of Starbucks products all laid out to tempt you. In short — there’s a lot of room in this place. With Brooklyn College literally a stone’s throw away, it’s no surprise a lot of the seating and facilities here are geared towards laptop jockeys who think to bring their power packs with them. The area I hung out in had a power outlet for almost every other seat. It was quite surprising and refreshing all at the same time. The décor keeps the same dark wood tones of most current Starbucks. The service each time I went to the counter(twice in total) was friendly and fast. One time I ordered a Chai Latte Dirty and it was made perfectly. Sometimes certain branches don’t balance out the mixture of elements in the drink properly so you wind up with too much or almost non-existent spice flavor. These guys nailed the balance of the spice and sweetness you’d expect in this drink. When I bought an oatmeal raisin cookie later, they heated it up nice and quick(asking first, which was nice) and it was delicious. Lots of kudos to this Starbucks for putting up with folks hanging out for hours on end doing papers, conducting business etc. You’ve gained another fan!

A typical Starbucks… I’m glad one was nearby to help me get through my caffeine addiction. Unlike Manhattan, Starbucks are hard to come by in Brooklyn. There was a crowd around the drink pick-up area but it dispersed quickly. I notice the baristas calling out drinks but people weren’t around to pick it up, one guy was too busy chatting with his friend to notice his drink. The barista called out the drink at least 3 times before calling out his name, then he finally went to get his drink. Another lady’s drink was sitting on the counter for 5 minutes after the barista called out the drink before she went to get her drink, mind you she was sitting at a table directly in front of the drink pick up area… I also notice that there were two people waiting there before I was but I received my drink before them, but I only ordered an iced coffee. Wait, am I reviewing Starbucks or customers? Starbucks workers may be sour towards customers because they probably deal with people, mentioned above, all the time.

This is the most unpleasant Starbucks you will ever go to. Sure, they do deal with college students but it does not mean you don’t have to be professional. This store is understaffed and the staff they do have is poorly trained and extremely unfriendly. The sitting area is filled with random flies. Look out for one of the ladies at the register. She will actually SHOUTOUTTOTHEENTIRESTORE that you owe her TWOPENNIES. Are you kidding me?! First of all: don’t ever shout at your customer. Second: what is wrong with you?! 2 pennies do not mean bankrupting the store or getting yourself in trouble. Excuse me, no one needs a 2CENT«discount» either. I gave her my card, and it was exceptionally clear on her face that she’s never had so much satisfaction out of her job before. Wow, someone really needed a couple pennies for her troubles.
