Ben are Ricky are a bunch of unadulterated assholes. They shoved everyone to the annex so I of course obliged and bought 3 drinks on their $ 20 cc minimum when I only needed 2 for my friend and I. Tried to go down stairs after I see they are letting people down. I knocked on the door separating the annex to the downstairs to get their attention as to not walk around w my beverage and break NYS law of carrying an open container and what happened? Ben came around took mt drink and kicked me out with no explication. These bouncers are the epitome of self righteous douchbags. Avoid this place like the plague.

RACIST&SEXIST. this place deserves negative stars but that’s not an option so one star will have to do. I came to this place last year it was a terrible and boring experience. My friends convinced me to try it again because they heard it was great. We get there, there’s absolutely no wait but they make us form a line, the line ended up getting super long but we were first so we figured we’d get in sooner than later. 15 minutes later the bouncer decides to notify the party behind us that they aren’t letting in groups larger than 4, their group was of 4 and ours of 6. The bouncer didn’t address us so we asked what was going on, he finally tells us he can’t let us in because our group is too large and there aren’t enough girls. We got off the line and these two asshole bouncers start letting everyone in, including 4+ groups of men, but they were kicking all the Spanish people off the line. This place is a fucking joke! It’s located in Brooklyn so the least they can do is welcome a diverse crowd. I hope your business goes under for catering to a white only crowd, what a fucking disgrace.

Music was good, drinks were bad, ambiance was lack luster. I think you have to be a 20 year old hipster to enjoy this place. I’ll pass.

I love this place. I come often with my husband and our friends. We usually have a few drinks, play some shuffle board, basketball ball and beer pongo and always have a great time. The bartenders are always super friendly and helpful. I never actually ate there so I can not comment on the food. Friday and Saturday nights are really busy so the bar is packed. Be patient and and enjoy the music and you will have a blast! Its feels like the adult version of chuckie cheese(the mom in me).

Popping DJ with throwbacks, does get crowded pass midnight. Bartenders make strong drinks and are attentive even though it’s super busy. No coverage charge to enter.

I can see how this place is a good time. I came here to meet up with a date on a Friday night. Now, unfortunately, I would not consider this place the best spot to meet up with someone you’re getting to know. We came here around 8pm and the basement was PACKED. I mean, everyone was packed like sardines. So, we decided to move to the upstairs where it was a lot less crowded and actually places to sit down. As 10pm/11pm came around, the upstairs was a mad house. Since we were sitting at the bar, I started getting fairly annoyed by the big guys yelling over my shoulder their order. I knew we kind of set ourselves up for having a conversation at the bar, but I just had no idea how loud it would be. Next time when I come here, I’ll probably bring friends instead of a date. My experience could have been so much different if it wasn’t a date meet up situation. It was just way to loud and crowded, especially that early on a Friday. Just as a heads up.

What a great bar! My first thought when walking into this place was«why haven’t I been here before?!» they play good music, have strong drinks, and also have games downstairs(just don’t get too excited for the beer pong game and accidentally put your dollar into the skee ball machine right next to it like I did). I wasn’t hungry when I went in but they have a great food selection that I hear is great so i’ll be sure to come hungry next time.

Unilocal doesn’t know it yet but I’m a regular here *flips hair* I visit The Whiskey Brooklyn quite often for the past 3 years. The drinks are always strong and the service is always impeccable for a crowded and rowdy place. I’ve been here in two different types of environments: the«no personal room» and«college kids in adult bodies» madness, and the«I have no bae so let me go to the bar» lonely nights. The ladder is the best time to come if you want to just chill and relax and enjoy some food and vent to your favorite bartender. John is awesome and I always have him make my whiskey sours. The food here is good as well I’m in love with their wings. Now back to that college type atmosphere where you literally cannot inhale without getting a little wasted off the scent of alcohol. Always a good time at the Whiskey Brooklyn if you’re down for getting stepped on, drinks splattered on your clothes, and fun with the game room. I don’t have any complaints. The prices are reasonable, the DJ is the bomb, the service is great, and they take care of you.

HUGE Bar, with all these random arcade games in the bottom and a gigantic bar space. There are like 100 bartenders and a huge square bar where you can sit around. Pretty typical brooklyn bar for the area, and the drinks were actually pretty cheap(in comparison to manhattan). Not exactly anything special, the DJ could’ve been dropping some sicker beats tbh. Overall, a good place to go and get some drinks and hang out and yell at your friends over okay-ish music. Oh and FYI, they really don’t like when your friends vomit in the sink trough thing in the bathroom. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Definitely a solid 4 stars, it has the ability to be 5 stars if the music wasn’t so hit or miss. The place can get pretty packed with people dressed in casual garb, I get a jeans and shirt, or hipster attire vibe from this establishment. The drinks are good and come in a nice sized glass. The bouncers are nice too which is a welcome experience after dealing with the douche nozzles that man the doors of Manhattan venues.

A boozey wonderland! The Whiskey Brooklyn is an underground bar located in Williamsburg. The bar is famous for having killer drinks and awesome playlists. Every time I go, I end up buzzed and dancing my feet off(evidence of a good time). Their DJ plays a great mix of 80s and 90s throwbacks perfectly embedded among today’s pop and hip-hop hits. Most people dance and sing along to the tracks, which adds to the establishment’s overall college-party atmosphere. They also have a small arcade section with about 5 or 6 machines. This bar attracts such a diverse crowd, too. They seem to have a little something for everyone. One thing to note is that the place gets very packed and busy on Friday and Saturday nights, sometimes to the point where you can’t walk around confortably. I recommend getting there a bit early and securing a spot for all the fun. If you go once, chances are you’ll be back!

If I was to describe The Whiskey Brooklyn in one word, I’d consider this place bangin’. Conveniently located several blocks from the L train, this quaint bar has something to offer for everyone. If you have the urge to feel like a kid while being wasted at the same time, you can go ahead and play skeeball, shuffleboard, basketball shoots and yes they even have a beer pong machine. if you feel the need to dance the night away, there is plenty of space to dance by the DJ booth. the DJ on a Thursday night was playing some weird stuff, but I think I was too drunk to care. this place is not filled with hipsters, the security guards and bartenders are genuinely nice and friendly people. the place is two floors, downstairs there is tons of tables for large group, or you can chill by the bar. I like that this place doesn’t require you to dress super fancy, the dress code is fair, there is no coverage charge for the bar either. the best deals here is the whiskey flight starting at 17 bucks, its 3 generous shots of various whiskeys, I think I almost fell out my chair when it hit me they also have a good selection of beers and shots to go with the beer for a solid 10 bucks. sometimes they even give you a beer on the house when you spend a certain amount. the food here is phenomenal, im talking about delicious crispy bacon with bleu cheese, a big chunky soft pretzel with mustard, totally perfect for a beer. the tater tots were crispy, not too oily, well seasoned and had great flavor. chicken nuggets were a slam dunk for only 7 bucks. not diet friendly lol but this place is vegan friendly, I saw some healthier options on the menu too like grilled items. also big plus for clean bathroom and decent cellphone service, and no pretentious crowd . the hours are also late, until 4 am. this place overall is perfect for a date, a night out the town with the guys or girls, or to even throw a party here. cant wait to return here!

I was recommended this place last night while I was in Williamsburg as a cool dive bar to check out. Conveniently located on N 11th and Berry it wasn’t too far of a walk from the subway. We walk down the stairs and immediately immersed in a whiskey fantasy. A giant bar in the middle surrounded by booths and the best part — arcade games. We played skee ball, peer pong, and the basketball game and had a blast. Each game was a dollar which is a bit pricey but if you are drunk and want to play you’re going to pay it. As for the drinks, the specials are great every night. We did the beer and pickle back shots(what they’re famous for here). It was my first pickle back shot and I had to do it with whiskey considering the name of the place. I was a fan! We then ordered a pitcher of «light draft»(all other beers come in a can) and it was gross watered down miller light. However it was so cheap it was worth it. I don’t come to Williamsburg often but I will absolutely be back and recommend this place to anyone!

Fun, spacious bar with ample seating, a game area(skeeball, photobooth, foosball) Whiskey selection is extensive as is the general drink menu, so you’ll surely find something you like. There is no dress code, but don’t rock sweats and flipflops. I came to The Whiskey to celebrate a friend’s birthday and really enjoyed the experience. It’s a bar that I would visit again and I will probably give the food a try the next time around.

I originally tried to go to the Brooklyn brewery to drink some beer but when I got there is about a 45 minute wait to get in. Since it was so hot out I checked Unilocal to see what else is around and found this place. I’m extremely glad I did! When I walked in I was able to grab a seat right away as a few people where leaving. There was a lot of good options to drink and eat so I needed a few minutes to make my choice. I started with a shot and beer. Then chatting with the bartender Ryan decided to do a Lawless flight which was good since I haven’t had any of the Lawless liquor before. After the flight I had a couple of Brooklyn Beers and ordered the buffalo chicken bites. They were really good and I like that they were small little bite size which was nice! In the hour to two that I was there I encountered some amazing service from both Ryan and Tony. Not only did they do a good job of suggesting what to get but also were extremely personable. Being from out of town I was at the bar by myself and they were both super engaging the whole time. Not only would I come back for a drink but knowing that there is awesome service will make me come back next time I’m in town!

For the Annex: I find myself often visiting places in NYC and saying«This is a cute date spot». Unfortunately, I don’t go on many dates… but if I did… The Annex would be a perfect location. I actually attended with friends after a concert. The prices were right and the music was even better. I had the chicken tacos, and they were official like a whistle! Friends had the chicken tenders and the philly cheese steak wrap. All were equally satisfied. Surprisingly, the bouncers are really nice. They were helpful, they had cool personalities, we laughed, etc. Downstairs: The playlist is official. The drinks are cheap. and yeah, you’re going to have a GREAT time. You’re going to get drunk, you’re going to sing along to songs you never realized you knew the words to. and if you’re anything like me. you’ll probably end up vomiting at the end of the night. :)

Wonderful spot in Williamsburg, if you want to get in, you need to arrive before 12 am although the place is big, it gets pack very easy. They have live DJ, a game room, where the people can play; beer pong, shooting game, a mini basketball real game and more. The drinks are affordable and are very strong. The atmosphere is very cool, the music is great and the drinks are well make. Good way to spend a Saturday night.

Whiskey, good music and friends! What else could one ask for? The pickle back shots are a must try. One shot of whiskey and one shot of pickle juice/brine. Drink it back to back and it’s an awesome pairing of flavors. The lemonades are also good! My Fiancé preferred the vodka version over the whiskey, but still loved both lol We went on a Saturday and the crowd was fun and packed. Parking is iffy so try to get their early. Didn’t get a chance to play the games so I look forward to that next time!

My friends and I always come to Whiskey for a good, fun night out. The place is always packed, but it never takes an excessive amount of time to get a drink, and the drink prices are extremely reasonable. They have a dj who plays an array of music, but doesn’t really accept song requests which is a bit weird. They also have many security guards outside in front of the bar as well as inside, so any issue that may occur will definitely be taken care of, and safety isn’t an issue with the crowd that is there. The bar also has video games and shuffleboard for your entertainment.
