No frills dive bar located a few blocks off of McCarren Park. Bartender was cool and the 2:1 drinks specials were on point. 2 margaritas for $ 7 is all that really needs to be said. Sign me up!

Cool music and good prices. Thumbs up! It is a little annoying when the back yard is open if you don’t smoke, since the cigarette smoke pretty much constantly blows in.

Ok whiny bitches. Small is one of the things that makes this place great. Also, if you’re a moron who’s never been to williamsburg then I can understand the cash only throwing you for a loop. Mind you, you’re probably someone who lives under a rock but we’re glad you stepped into the sunshine for a sec. OH! AND I’m looking at the lovely CONSPICUOUS cash only sign right now. And for the couple that bitched about the bartenders at the exact same time, you guys are really clever. It’s almost like a 4 year old who’s feelings got hurt and conspired with a fellow 4 year old to write a review on Unilocal almost pulled it off. PROS: people who find carrying cash precious or archaic don’t come here. On a Friday or Saturday night these dick bags are crowded into every other bar and this one still feels local. CONS: someday folk are gonna find this joint to be the gem it is and I’ll have to roam elsewhere. Until then, go to whiskey or spike hill pussies

This little bar is easy to miss, but it great inside. I like the décor — warm and rustic and it is dark but not so dark you can’t see your friends/date/Tinder date/whoever. I don’t understand the bad reviews about the service here. Not everyone is over the top(and probably fake) friendly and that doesn’t make them rude. My experience with the bartender was totally fine, even when I was kind of being annoying with being indecisive about my drink choice. She wasn’t the«Welcome to Applebee’s!!! I will be your server!!!» type, but she made good drinks and was fast.

Avoid! Worst bartender I’ve had in NYC. I stopped by November 21st for happy hour on a Saturday, it was dead which should have been my first warning. I ordered 3 drinks that all came out wrong. 1) A Dark and Stormy. A drink on their special cocktail menu. The bartender had to look on a recipe guide behind the bar how to make it, gave it to me 10 minutes later, it was all lime juice and ginger beer. I politely asked if she used the correct rum(it wasn’t dark, just light green) the bartender got defensive saying it’s ALL rum and picked up a bottle of white rum. When I explained it was supposed to be Goslings black rum(as the menu says), she snapped ‘that’s not what THIS says’ and waved around her recipe guide. She offered to make another the exact same way, and I ordered something else. Drink 2: 2) A whiskey diet coke. No whiskey, all flat diet coke. I had my two friends judge, it tasted nothing of whiskey. 3) A hot spiced cider. On the special menu they had 3 hot drinks. I ordered a spiced cider. She repeated back ‘hot cider.’ Then she came back with a Hot Toddy, a completely different drink. It was busy by that point, a little after 9, so I said I think there was a mix up, I ordered a cider, she snapped back. ‘NO, that’s what you ordered’ and walked off. I get it, mistakes happen, but 3 in a row? All to me? What did I do? As soon as my first drink was wrong my friends switched to beer as I should have, nothing you can mess up there. It’s a shame because the décor and music were actually alright. Just awful service. The good news is there’s no lack of other bars to go to in Williamsburg.

Best Happy hour spot in the hood– and it’s 7 days a week! Cute backyard, friendly staff, good tunes. Check out the Trivia Night. They do it on the first Tuesday of every month. The regulars are really welcoming and even when it’s not Happy Hour, they have plenty of specials– margarita pints, beer and shot combos. I love this joint!

Great happy hour deal! Pint of margarita for 7 $ is great. On the down side the bartender was not so friendly we had to wait around to get our order. Place has a nice garden area as well as enough seating inside. Cute place for a quick happy hour drink

The overweight blonde bartender is very rude and unwelcoming. We stopped by for 2-for1 beer and sat outside — it was very depressing. No music, just the buzzing of a nearby air conditioner. A group of people just sitting on their phones, not talking. And inside, the ceiling was leaking water. Wouldn’t recommend stopping in.

So this is definitely my new fav bar in the Williamsburg area. I stopped in on a beautiful Saturday afternoon after I stuffed my face at the Flea Market and Food event nearby. Sitting outside they had a sign saying«2 for 1 well and drafts». That one we over. My friend and I went inside and sat at the bar. The bartender was warm and inviting. This is cash only bar but they have an ATM inside so NOWORRIES. They had an outdoor seating area as well which was perfect for the weather. If you are looking for a spot to grab a drink and keep it simple and for a great price I recommend stopping in. I plan on visiting this establishment soon!

Cozy little bar on Bedford Ave, not the easiest to find but cool nonetheless. There’s a little garden patio in the back which is great for warmer weather. Fun spot to grab some drinks before going elsewhere in Williamsburg. Friendly bartender. I definitely recommend going for the 2-for-1 happy hour — they give you a little coin when you get the drink, and you can redeem it at anytime!

The blonde bartender working presidents day night was very rude. I couldn’t believe it I had to walk out. Felt unwelcome and underappreciated as a customer

It’s a cool bar, but there’s only one bathroom and everyone in line takes a shit.

If your bartender is a white women with hipster glasses shes probably going to ruin your night with her unnecessary snarky attitude and condescending tone. She will judge you and your friends and most likely try and kick you out if you dont look like her or arent” hip and cool” enough. This place is great but the bartender is a total bitch, Its a hit or miss

It’s an easy-to-miss bar, due to its low key exterior and its small size. There’s a backyard, but it closes early. They don’t have a lot of beers, but what they do have is good. Small enough to only have one bartender, so when she’s busy closing down the backyard or doing other closing duties, you’ll have to wait a bit for a drink. Free water at the bar though.

Sweet lil’ Soft Spot. The beau and I were wandering up Bedford after our Valentine’s Day dinner. I’m admittedly not well-versed in what’s around Williamsburg, save for Sweet Chick, and was just looking up and down for anything that looked relatively decent with an alcohol license. As I approached North 9th, a few bar-looking establishments in the distance, Soft Spot caught my eye in my peripheral. It looked cute and intimate, so I dragged the beau across the icy crosswalk to my desination. Cute place, indeed! Nice curved bar, nice little couch area in the front which we perched in. We were looking to get snookered, but we did come before the end of Happy Hour.(The upside to having a 6 p.m. prior dinner reservation: still got to a Happy Hour that end at 8!) We are but simple folk: a bottle of Strongbow for me, a shot of Jameson, and some Oban, neat, for him. Just $ 21 bucks. NICE. We just sat back and enjoyed the 90s throwback jams.(Honestly, not enough establishments play Heavy D’s «Now That We Found Love»…) We also enjoyed listening to what seemed to be an aunt and her under-aged niece(drinking a Sprite, I can confirm) discuss her upcoming college years: «Now GO to the parties! You don’t have to do Ecstasy and coke, but be responsible and enjoy a little weed if it comes your way. No pressure!»(I’d love to see what this aunt was like in the 80s!) Our bartender was cool, personable, though she made me feel a bit chilly wearing a winter beanie AND a gray tube top. Heheh. I should explore Williamsburg more, admittedly, but when I do come back, I know I have a bar I’m comfortable coming back to for some chill times.

This place was recommended to go to by a friend. I have no idea what’s out in Williamsburg and when someone asks me to pick a bar there my response is: «crickets». .. .. . wait.. .. .“crickets”.. .. . I was bored and had nothing to do a few weekends ago, getting restless, stir crazy, so an old co-worker and I decided to hang out for a quick drink somewhere between Astoria and wherever the hell I live Brooklyn. It wasn’t happy hour at the time, but I hear that they do 2 for 1s until 8pm. Beer is pretty standard and nothing special, same with liquor. They have some deals on wine which doesn’t taste horrible and is under $ 5 – 6. The décor here is pretty nice though. Bookcases and interesting kind of gothic/impressionistic artwork inside. Dim lighting. A little hipster divey as all of Williamsburg tends to be. The selling point for me is the outdoor garden area. Though, its not being utilized in this hellish winter we are having obviously. It’s still decorated with Christmas trees and twinkle lights though and seemed festive as my friend went outside to smoke. I like the bar. But I don’t love it. Maybe I’d love it more in the summer during happy hour, yes. But my commute home would also still suck.

Small bar with decent drinks and good crowd. The walkway to the back can get difficult to navigate as people mingle at the bar. Although this is just the nature of the structure. Great location. DT

I’ll get right to it: Pros: –Great happy hour and decent drinks –Nice little, quiet, relaxing backyard to sit and chill on beautiful warm/hot day and talk over some drinks with friends –Pretty cheap prices –Takes cash only(if you don’t have a card) CONS: –ASSHOLEBARTENDERS –HIPSTERDOUCHINESS –ASSHOLESBARTENDERS –MOREASSHOLEBARTENDERSANDHIPSTERDOUCHINESS –Tiny ass place. I felt like I was having sex with the bar –No cards only cash(bad if you have a card and don’t want to take cash) –ASSHOOOOLE Staff As you can obviously tell, the cons outweigh the pros by a sumo sized margin. I’m BIG on customer service and its what makes me come back to a place. Even if you’re bar/pub/lounge whatever is pretty expensive but the drinks and/or food are good and especially if the staff is attentive, welcoming, friendly, accommodating then you WILL get a big fat tip and I’ll be more than happy to kiss the ring of the mother fucking don. Unfortunately, the people at this place make me want to start a monkey shit flinging war and whoever wins gets to change the staff. In this case, if I am victorious, these assholes would be replaced with servebots(if you don’t know who or what I speak of, look them up on google). The service at this place turns me off and is what merits this abysmal score. If the service was the complete opposite – like I mentioned in the last paragraph – you’ll see me «Kiss The Ring Of The Don». So until then, fuck this place in the ass with a raging, roided up, testosterone filled Rhino jungle cock. HARD, MADHARD. PEACE!!!
