Can’t believe I had my first beers there in 1972(ouch). If memory serves, the day bartender was one Chris Leavey, anyone remember? But the changes that time has brought here are good ones. Friendly crowd, good prices and a real old piece of Brooklyn — don’t miss it.

THE bar. Like if you say«let’s meet up at the bar» this is where you go. 100+ year old joint with beautiful stained glass and wood work. Stools. Booze. Great bartenders. No pretense, no bullshit, just great times.

This is an old man bar, but a pretty fancy one. The guys at the bar were friendly, even though I am decidedly not an old man, and the beers were fantastically cheap. The air conditioning was icy, the beers were cheap, and the bathroom was clean. What else could you ask for?

I may be biased because my friend works on the bat here, but this place is great! Dive bar with lock karaōke talent. Could you ask for more? No food but the drinks are good. People are friendly and Fridays nights hosts a pretty fun karaōke night. Check it out.

Favorite bar in bay ridge. Always a fun, laid back, warm feeling there. The crowd is so chill and wonderfully mixed, mostly younger people. The bartenders are SOCOOL and the drinks super cheap. They have live music on Saturdays and karaōke on Fridays. Some of the talent that comes out of hiding on Fridays is amazing. And anyone can partake in karaōke and it’s usually not a long wait. Cal… Australian bartender… Makes hundreds of Australian pies a couple times a year and sells them at about $ 5 – 7 each at the bar. They’re delicious so definitely keep your eye out for whenever he makes them next. The décor of the bar is old-timey and gorgeous. It’s a super old bar and the interior is still the same as back in the day… Stained glass, old tile, tin ceiling. The place is pretty spacious too, and they have a pool table and darts!

Dart board, jukebox, beers, cocktails and ppl. What more does one need. Inexpensive beers and cocktails. Close to R subway station. Lots of space to move around. A nice entrance located at the corner. On some nights, there’s live music.

This place is one of the oldest bars in Brooklyn(if not the oldest). It really has that old new york look to it inside, simple but with character. This place would get 5 stars if they started selling wings. But other than that, you can’t beat the prices here. Bartenders are really friendly and the places is a must go for Karaōke. Here you can drink, sing, watch sports… or stare at the Australian bartender(judge free zone)

Thought this was a great bar at first. Cheap drinks. Good karaōke. But AWFUL bartenders. Whatever u do… DON’T scream and encourage those performing cause u will be told to be quiet as people are trying to sing. REALLY???

Nice local bar. I been driving past this place everyday for the past three years on my way home from work, errands, etc. I was surprised they had a good mix of people. My friends and I will definitely go back and maybe next time I will get up and do karaōke. Only downfall was they don’t sell food.

In the words of Rebecca Black, fun, fun, fun, fun is how I’d describe 3JP! We went here for karaōke, and it was a blast. The drinks are all reasonably priced. The bartenders are great, and the crowd is a great mix. The karaōke was fun, and it didn’t take forever to get in for a song. This is a fun neighborhood bar. I’m looking forward to trying out the trivia.

Great place to have fun with friends. Trivia night a blast. Donna bartender amazing she always remembers your drink and she’s super funny. I love this place. Coullen another bartender is friendly and attentive. He actually took a drunk out of the bar quickly that was causing a problem. Made me feel safe not like other bayridge bars that let fights start. If you never been there go check it out.

Day time or night time, week day or weekend this place is great. Great place to do and relax or meet up with friends for a beer. The beer is cheap and always cold. The weekends are fun.

Vintage Bay Ridge bar. Provide great music, you’ll always find the local old heads in there lounging and chattin it up. Good drinks, good peeps and good live music.

Weekdays: A block away from the Bay Ridge Ave subway stop and close to many good open-late restaurants, Pigeons is perfectly located for an after-work drink. Swinging through those squeaky doors and sliding into a barstool is the stuff my daydreams are made of. The drinks are well made and dirt cheap, and there’s a decent selection to choose from. If, like most people, you’re coming here on your own, the bartenders are great at striking up a conversation so you don’t have to awkwardly twiddle your thumbs//pretend to text while gathering your courage to speak to the guy/girl sitting next to you(just go for it already!). The crowd is a bit older, but that just means the music is better. No Top 40s playing here, thank god. Which also means there’s no woo girls(see: HIMYM) here either, thank ALL the gods. Weekends: The weekend packs the bar, drawing in a younger crowd with karaōke on Friday nights, and usually a decent band playing Saturdays. Grabbing a seat at the bar can be difficult, but there’s a handful of tables and a window ledge to sit at if that’s your thing. It’s good times with decent people, and the bartenders aren’t annoyingly impossible to hail, despite it being busy. Bonus points for the women’s restroom remaining relatively clean even though there’s only one stall(just make sure you get on line before the OMG-I-have-to-go-NOW moment). Come in, have a good time, and don’t be offended if I go out for a cigarette break while you karaōke to Rihanna.

Excellent pub. I have passed this pub for years never even thought of going in because i thought it a gay bar due to the name. Apparently I associate LBTG with 3 Pigeons why? IDK. I though it to be «Secret Code». Imagine how uncomfortable when I was ask to meet my friend there. Which made me feel like an idiot once I did go inside and met my friends new GF and found this place not to be anything but a good place to drink & chill. Cool people inexpensive shots. Live music on weekends. I learned never judge a pigeon because it is jolly.

Great low-key pub. Lots of regulars, and the drinks are jaw droppingly cheap. The décor is nice(copper ceilings, stained glass windows, oak bar, original ice boxes from the 1920s). The bartenders are super friendly(at least on Saturdays when I go) and while there’s a jukebox, they also play classic rock most of the day. I think there are four TVs that show a good mix of sports, movies, and TV shows. The place gets a little more hoppin’ at night with live bands and a younger crowd.

Love this cute pub. It caters to the local neighborhood which is diverse in terms of age. Pool table/separate room in the back, tables for sitting if the bar is full, cool bartenders, cheap drinks, and amazing music(although my boyfriend informs me that the music is apparently better on Friday karaōke nights). Oh yes, and the fact that they have karaōke nights at all. The environment seems very laidback and everyone especially the bartenders appear outgoing and friendly. Highly recommended for watching the game, playing pool and having drinks.

‘Just’ an excellent neighbourhood Irish bar in Brooklyn. I was in the area on some family business, and this place became my home-away-from-home during my stay. Yes, the drinks are good value, and the place has all the trappings of a solid, traditional Irish pub, but what really makes the difference is the friendly, open attitude of the staff and the regulars. The regulars are remarkably diverse, in a very positive way, which means that nobody will feel they don’t belong. The have interesting live bands on the weekend, too, which only adds to the attraction.

I often dub Three Jolly Pigeons as the best bar in Bay Ridge. Why? There is just no place like it. Its relatively big, it doesn’t get that crowded, there’s a pool table room in the back for $ 1 games, karaōke certain nights, and DIRTCHEAP drinks. Whats not to love? Sure, the clientele can sometimes be… questionable. You get your usual groups of Bay Ridge youngins, but thrown in the mix are some older ‘regulars’ that oftentimes sit grumpily at the bar. Its all about what you make of this place. If you come with a group and don’t care about mingling, this will be like your entertainment basement with affordable never-ending drinks. There are plenty of tables, a section for darts, a back room for pool, and a large bar with TVs overhead. The bartenders are super down to earth. Talk to the Australian, he has some awesome stories. Prices are just ridiculous. Some of the tap pints go for around $ 2. Jameson is $ 5, house whiskey only $ 4. You get the picture. Be prepared to pay almost nothing, we aren’t in Manhattan anymore. On top of those ridiculous prices, every 4th or 5th beer or drink is on the house. Ask about the specials, your mind will be blown.
