I’m secretly in love with Wreck Room. There, I said it. Expect a dive, and you won’t be disappointed. The bartenders are betch punks(in the best way possible), the crowd is always a mix of bike gangs and clueless hipsters(probably straggling in after a show at Silent Barn), and the bathrooms are best suited for doing blow and giving blowjobs. Last time I was in here I met some rich bitch who got roofied. The time before that, I got offered drugs. The time before that I can’t remember, because the shots they give you with that beer/shot deal are the biggest in all of Bushwick. If you want to get wrecked, go to Wreck Room.

When I arrived here there was some black guy about to put the hurt on to another patron and the bouncer outside, at that moment a guy walks by and says to the group of bi standers, that’s why they call it «wreck» room, there’s always a fight going on. I was outside talking with a couple friends waiting for another to show up, it wasn’t long before another guy with attitude walked up to my friend and asked what he was looking at. I suspect there’s a good amount of drama happening here. I don’t think it was much of a stretch after I went in and saw that this place was a combination of a bar and a club. Prices were good, especially with the $ 5 beer and shot special and they had food(cash only). Food included rice balls from Arancini Bros(located next door) and a bunch of other snacks. I tried the fries which were definitely made in house, a little too much salt but otherwise great. I wasn’t a big fan of the club side of the bar, the loud obnoxious electronic music and dance floor just doesn’t do for me. On the plus side they do have a few plush booths but they do fill up quickly. If you’re looking to dance and possibly want a club but am more of a typical bar fan, come here it’s a good hybrid.
