Stuart Lauck is a very knowledgeable and thorough auto tech. His work is top quality, and you may have to pay more to have this shop work on your vehicle. But I have found that the reassurance that your vehicle is being worked on by a person who knows what they’re doing is worth it every time and probably less expensive in the long term. Their specialty is Toyota, Lexus and Scion, but they work on all American, Asian and some European cars. On the more complex jobs he has done on my Toyota Tacoma 4×4, his explanations have matched exactly with what my factory shop manual says for the procedure. He uses factory OEM parts, so yes, that may run the bill up some, but he says that’s always served him well in his business. I have seen him vary from that, but only if he knows that there is a better option.

Extremely thorough and competent mechanics. Stuart is awesome and knows his stuff but my only gripe is they’re extremely expensive. Their labor rate is expensive, they always recommend oem parts (toyota if it’s a toyota) which can be insanely expensive. Great mechanics but almost unreasonably expensive. They’ve quoted me work that was literally twice as expensive as other shops. Granted a chunk of that is probably the Toyota parts but still…
