I LOVE this place! They have such a selection of food and everything I have tried is amazing. The service is friendly and fast and you can’t beat the prices. I leave here full and happy every time.

Food comes in amazing portions to feed a man of my size. menu is extensive in the ways of breakfast food. Atmosphere is down home Indiana small town. Everyone in the restaurant feels like they are a regular there and if you like to eat breakfast you will be a regular too. Best option for breakfast in Brownsburg. Go off the beaten path from IHOP or Big Bobby Evans and try Flap-Jacks.

I had the French toast, and it was really good. The skillets also looked delicious. Our server didn’t do a great job — she kept forgetting things and miscalculated the check by $ 20. I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast with friend or family but take a second look at your check before paying.

At best, the food is school cafeteria like. The staff is very attentive and obviously knows many of their customers well. Décor wise, it is run down and worn out. The tableware was old and not so clean looking. Baskets of crackers, creamers, etc are filled to the brims. Had to ask for mustard. The mayo served with my sandwich was in a little packet. Really? Menu wise, it is extensive. Only wish, they would print out the specials menu as I cannot recall what I read while waiting to be seated. There were at least a dozen items. Had a breaded tenderloin which I detect was probably of the frozen kind rather than freshly deep fried. The bun was pretty run of the mill. Got the cole slaw which was inedible. Little heavy on the mayo for my taste. My elderly mother had a rueben on rye and was pleased although I did observe her tearing at it. So, was it a bit tough? Her soup was to be cheesy tomato but it looked like right out of the Campbell’s can and perhaps made with water rather than milk, at that. Will I be back? Probably not. For a nearly $ 20 meal, I can do better at Bob Evans or Panera.

Always have great service when we go. Love their biscuits and gravy. Usually have to wait cause it’s so busy but it is never for long. Food come out quickly and fresh. Good amount of food for the price.

When I first moved to Indiana from small-town New England, I was in need of a new comfort food breakfast spot. Flap-Jacks was close to my apartment, and judging from the overflowing parking lot, it seemed to be a popular choice. I gave it a shot, and here’s what I found: It’s crowded, it’s loud, the menu is massive, the waitresses are bubbly, and the food portions are ‘down home’ style enormous. In essence, it was exactly what I’d wanted. I now live about twenty minutes away from this location(there are a few others in the bedroom communities of Indy), but still make an effort to grab brunch here every few months. The coffee is always fresh, the food is everything you’d want from a diner, and even the busboys make a point to be friendly.

Really good breakfast. Got the recommendation at Don Schumacher Racing. Service was really good and the price was reasonable.

Went here Sunday morning August 2nd and took family from out of town here. Was over a 30 minute wait to be seated but that is to be expected on the weekends. We got our drinks pretty fast. and the server took our order. I ordered a 2 egg breakfast and added another side of bacon with one biscuit and gravy. She never did bring my side of bacon and at the end of the meal she realized that and took it off my bill. Another person in my party didn’t get enough to eat and wanted to order something else but the server was nowhere to be found. We finally did get something ordered. Another person got the grilled chicken taco salad and it was good. the bacon today was not good. it was cold and greasy. They have some of the best sausage gravy in town, their biscuits on the other hand are pretty lousy. I suspect they are brown and serve pre-made from Sams club. They were not hot either. I was so excited to take my family here today and they really let me down. They are not consistent with how they ring things up and what they charge for items. I had the same exact order this time as the previous time but I paid about $ 3 more for it today. That alone will probably make me not want to go back.

The best place on the planet for breakfast! DONOT let the usually long lines prevent you from dining here. The wait looks like 1 hr or more, but we are usually eating in under 20 min… eating not just sitting down. The waiter there reminds me of the butler from Mr Deeds, and the food is top notch, comes out quick and reasonably priced. If you haven’t eaten breakfast here, you have to try it.

The coffee was hot. The server was bad. The food was mediocre. Will not be returning. Not a good viait. Have been here in the past and it was marginally better.

Always satisfied with the amount of food I get. Servers are normally very friendly. The only complaint I have is about the wait time for a table or your first cup of coffee. However, it’s normally busy so I understand. Never had a bad experience. It’s my favorite breakfast place in town.

To all you Flap-Jacks naysayers… Yeah, all those people packed into the lobby waiting for breakfast EVERY sat and sun morning think the service is spotty and the food… well blah. They just keep coming back because their cable is out and they need their morning CNN fix. It ain’t Patachou, but hey, get with the program folks. It takes me back to Bloominton and Southside Café… and Wee Willee’s…and, and… sigh…Bruce’s.

Went here a few times while visiting the area. Good comes out very fast after ordering and is good. Hash browns are not greasy at all. Some servers not as friendly as the others but you get that almost everywhere you go. Reasonably priced and good breakfast.

It’s cheap, fast, and absolutely mediocre. What more can I say? The food is warm, but only acceptable in taste. The service is always good, but not remarkable.

My husband and I were looking for a good home cooked place to eat and Flapjacks was not it. I ordered a French dip and it was so bad I sent it back and got mediocre chili instead. My husband ordered the lunch special: cube steak served with mashed potatoes, green beans and a salad. The cube steak was cold and lacked any flavor itself. Service was fair at best. So save your money and eat somewhere else!

I ate here one time. Maybe if I tried again, but I just can’t bring myself to go back. Food was fair. Service was fair. I prefer a restaurant that is better than just ok.

Flap-Jacks has the honor of being the location of my first brunch after moving to Indianapolis. My husband and I needed some serious sustenance after a strenuous move and googled brunch places near our house; Flap-Jacks popped up and off we went. We were gloriously overwhelmed by the extensive menu with plenty of delicious options for breakfast and lunch. Since that first visit we’ve been back several times and everything we’ve tried has been delicious. I would especially recommend ordering one of the specials listed on the white board at the hostess station. As an added bonus the prices are exceptionally reasonable and the servers are dripping with small-town charm(this is a good thing). Go. Here. Immediately.
