OPA!

Absolutely amazing! I had the chicken gyros platter, and every bite was delicious. It had potatoes, rice, green beans, chicken, pita, feta and tzatziki. Each bite was perfect. Apparently all ingredients are organic and homemade, and you can tell. I had the baklava for dessert, and it was unbelievable. The staff is friendly, the space is beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Stopped in here for lunch with some coworkers. We were seated by a waitress who said she wasn’t sure who our server would be. After a delay she came back over and said she would take care of us. Half way through our lunch our server switched. Our second server was very bad. She was slow and didn’t check on us at all. We had to flag her down every time we needed something. There were like 5 servers and only maybe 10 tables so there was no reason for the poor service. I went with the gyro. It wasn’t bad and wasn’t good. Just a normal gyro. The décor of the restaurant was nice and it’s probably a good spot for diner. Maybe service is better at night. Prices were a little high we thought.

This is a pretty great Greek restaurant. It was crazy busy on Saturday night so I felt rushed to eat so they could get someone else in. We had the flaming cheese which was good. I also had the spinach and cheese in fila dough. It was a little too heavy on the spinach so not sure if I would order it again. It came w green beans, rice and potatoes all of which were delicious especially the potatoes.
The baklava is to die for.
You will not leave there hungry!

Wonderful Greek restaurant. They’re Gyro platter is a must but also try their mousakas. We had grape leaves to start with and it was delish! They serve Alpha beer, which went nicely with our meal. Definitely will be coming back!

We enjoyed a birthday meal. Friendly attentive servers, great Greek food. We enjoyed moussaka gyro and one person had a steak. All of it was all delicious! The steak had some interesting Greek spices on it. We split some galaktoboureko (?) for dessert, sweet and custards. Very good!
The owner even paid a visit to our table. I love this place!

Omg!!! Just finished lunch here and it was great! Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made suggestions since we’ve never before eaten at a Greek restaurant. We had the «flaming cheese» as an appetizer, the staff yells Opa! when it’s lit! I had the Gyro’s and my husband had the Opa! Pasta. Both were fantastic! Great service!!! Wonderful food!!! Ordered burger, very dry and nothing else. Skimmed on fries and they weren’t cooked all the way. They didn’t arrive hot and only 2 people in restaurant. I came here for falafel but it tasted old also. I’ve tasted mediterranean food but it didnt taste like this. Flavors were sadly missing along with freshness. From other reviews I get the feeling I should have ordered something else?

Delicious & great service! This is quickly becoming one of our favorite places in Avon. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. Their carry out service is quick & easy to pick up.

Fantastic new place in Avon. We have gone several times and the food is fantastic. The gyro platter is huge and can be split between two people. The staff is awesome as well. My only complaint is the desserts were served cold. It seems like they should be room temp if not warm.

Came to check out the restaurant. Very glad we did! The restaurant was beautiful, and the food was fantastic! Our server less than impressive my daughters food was wrong and she never came back so we could tell her, she was more interested in sitting and chatting with another table that I’m assuming everyone knew since she wasn’t the only one doing it. Good thing the young girl working in the section next to her was working hard she did most of the work for our table. I still gave 5 stars because the food was that good! And the atmosphere is really fun and inviting! Well done!

First time experience was pretty good. The pan fried calamari appetizer is very good, but the marinara for dipper is refrigerator cold. I would have found it much nicer if warm.
The trio of dips was good, but you get far more dip than pita, but we asked for more and were given some at a charge.
Gyro was pretty good Fries were nothing special Chicken Gyro is just sliced chicken breast, but its still good. Roasted pork dish was yummy, but needed salt. Potatoes were a little under cooked, but edible.
Service was friendly and good. Drinks were kept full.
I’m sure we’ll be back!

ABOUT TIME the westside gets an authentic Greek restaurant (or any international cuisine for that matter). This place is really good. I went with a friend and ordered the sampler platter, as well as baklava for desert. They were both really delicious, everything was fresh, and the service we had, despite other reviews I’ve seen, was really fast.
Summary: No brainer, eat at this restaurant! Atmosphere is great and Mediterranean food is healthy and delicious! Best Greek food in Indy I’ve had since I visited Athens and Santorini two years ago. Go here!

At the restaurant for the first time and had a hard time getting someone to recognize me standing at the door. About 5 minutes later I walked up to something that looked like a bar and got someone to take my order.
The décor and music is fine. Place looks nice but the service is slow. It appears to be younger/​newer servers so I’ll give a pass for the first visit.
Ordered the moussaka with rice, beans and salad. I love moussaka but this one had too much potatoes. The serving size was big and a little bland with not enough eggplant for me. The eggplant skin was chewy. The greens beans and rice were cooked and seasoned well. The salad was just your average Greek salad– nothing special.
I will give the restaurant another try but I do not anticipate better service because the servers appeared inexperienced. one young lady eventually said something when I was sitting at the table but I had already placed an order. Price was ok, I’ve had cheaper that actually tasted better but I believe this restaurant will do fine if the service improves. Even though I didn’t like the moussaka, I could tell they put some time into preparing the food.

Finally, a Greek restaurant in Avon worthy of praise! We ordered what is usually called «firey feta dip» (don’t ask me to pronounce it — «tikokafteri»), and it was delicious. Not as flavorful as what’s served at Athen’s on 86^th, but still yummy. Garlic, more spice, maybe a little finer grate on the cheese. Who am I kidding, I’ll still order it every time!
I ordered the loaded chicken breast (topped with spinach, red peppers and feta). It was marinated, cooked and presented on point! Tzatziki is thick so it sticks to the food like it should. Comes with baked lemon roasted potatoes, rice pilaf (no almonds! Yay!), green beans cooked in tomatoes and seasoning, and a nice serving of soft and warm pita bread. It was all absolutely perfect.
My spouse ordered the gyro. It’s oddly not served with a big pita that you can stuff the toppings in, and the feta is served as a big hunk of cheese, which at first we thought was weird, but it turns out slicing the cheese and putting it on top of the pita with the meat worked out very well. The meat was lightly seasoned standard gyro meat — not spicy — and very tender. We saved half of both for lunch the next day.
I wish I could share with you a photo of the tiramisu, but I regretfully dove in so fast I forgot to snap a picture. It was divine, just know that.
They’re just getting their bearings so the server was still getting used to the sell, but once she finds her confidence she’ll be great. Not at all worth docking a star.
Picky eaters, you’re in luck! They have pasta, steaks, chicken, burgers and an abundant selection of wine and beer.
If you’re in Avon and want a nice dinner, I highly recommend! We will be back without a doubt! Great job, Opa!

OMG! Opa is my new favorite! The atmosphere is great, service is fabulous (Nina was my waitress) and food is fabulous! Started off with the Flaming Saganaki served flaming with pita quarters it was absolutely to die for. Perfect combo of lemony salty melty cheese. Main course was the Gyros dinner plate. There was enough food for 3 (lucky me I have leftovers). The zaziki sauce they serve is made in house and was so fantastic. I finished with their in house made baklava. Nina set it down and immediately there was cinnamon and honey goodness wafting from my dessert! I have to say this was by far the best traditional Greek food I’ve had in a long while. Just what I was looking for. Can’t wait to come back!
One last thing — price is totally reasonable for the amount of food I received!

The service is exceptional. The bartender came to the table to share her new liquor selections and cocktails she created. The mojito is excellent. Of course, we ordered Saganaki as an appetizer. We could tell the service staff loves their restaurant and wants it to succeed… their love of food and drink is contagious! What a great experience. We’ll be back.
