Save-A-Lot Food Stores

While looking for their phone number I noticed there was no recent review. Sav-​a-​Lot has a lot of off name products like Aldi’s does but cheaper than Aldi’s and no paying to use the buggy and they provide bags. Like all off brands not everything is amazing but things like the canned vegetables are to great of a deal to pass up. They also have a lot of good sales on produce, for example they’re having a 3 days sale this weekend and a 20lb bag of potatoes is 2.99. As for the meat, it’s not nasty like stated in the other review. They do have one case where they place the meat going out of date on clearance and that, just like all stores with clearance meat, of course looks off color. They also have some name brand products but those change from time to time and they’re the cheapest place in town to buy a gallon of milk.
So why only 4 stars? I’ve lived other places with Sav-​a-​lots and this one doesn’t compare to those. There is never enough staff here and only one cashier. If you need to ask a question you have to search for the one stocker on duty. This is also a very small store compared to all the others I’ve been in with a third of the selection. I however and a frequent shopper. After making the grocery list I go there first to get as much as I can cheap before going on to Winn Dixie, Walmart, or Publix.

Save-​A-​Lot Food has quality, inexpensive household staples. Many of them are of higher quality and quantity than the national brands. Your food dollar always goes farther at Save-​A-​Lot.

this store sucks it has no staff and over priced goods. this place is outright nasty and needs a through cleaning. watch out for the meat department… lol unless you like outdated and discolored meats
