Biggest scam of a business ive ever been a part of. They sell you mandatory insurance in your monthly fee. But it’s useless. After flooding that they are and were well aware of before selling me the unit, I went through two claims processes. Both denied coverage. I lost $ 4k worth of personal property. The property manager is fully aware of the negligent practices. But she will sell you the unit anyway. And when your property is destroyed, she will send you to insurance. And they will deny you coverage. And they will have you file a separate claim with a secondary insurance company. And they will deny you. What a scam. Negligent and liable business practices define this company. At the very least, they should do the right thigh and make people aware of the problems of this property. They should reimburse clients when their flood plain zone destroys property. But they won’t. In the name of money, they will deceive you and you will lose property due to flooding. What a disgusting business. Obviously they do this to many as comment’s and reviews suggest. Do NOT rent from this company. There are plenty more reputable ones in the area.

Rented a unit and there was flooding in July. I was told by the manager that the insurance that we paid for denied all claims stating that the flooding was a result of an act of God and that they do not cover acts of God. She also told me that the water levels had gotten so high and that the water affected all items in the storage units because the water came in thrpugh the roof. I was referred to risk management of Cubesmart in PA and they connected me with their insurance carrier Sedgwick CMS. After almost 3 months of back and forth with them I got a letter stating that they have no liability and have denied the claim. I am in the process of consulting with a lawyer in TX. However, I have already been advised here on MA that rain and a leaky roof are not considered flooding or an act of God. I was informed by the manager that almost every one lost everything in their storage units. I find it ridiculous that they will not provide some sort of compensation for the losses. I guess they are not really concerned with their business and the repercussions of their failure to compensate. I have rented storage units over the years with Public Storage and have never had any losses even when there has been flooding or hurricanes in those areas. This has been my first time renting with Cubesmart and will be my last. The fact that they the leaking came from the roof signified that they were not diligent in their inspections of their building structure and should therefore be responsible for any losses that occur resulting from thar faulty structure. I will never rent from them again and will not recommend anyone to ever rent from them either.

The unit we rented (and many others) was completely flooded (2 feet high) with muddy rain water that wouldn’t drain. This unit was inside the building, not one of the drive-​up ones. Cubesmart has offered no assistance whatsoever. No designated area to dry our possessions. No help moving the wet items out. No help locating an alternate storage unit. Very dodgy about insurance — I suspect this flooding will not be covered by the rental insurance, and I suspect Cubesmart will not cover the damage unless compelled. Refused to even refund rental fees. In fact, the company didn’t call to inform us of the flooding until 2 days after it must have occurred. Never give this company your business.

Parents, make sure your child knows the property manager will call to confirm reservation if you make the reservation over the cube smart 800#. I completed a reservation for my student. I also tried to pre-​pay and was told process was to pay on moving day. In hindsight, I should have sent him over to complete the rental agreement before the stress of finals began. Reservations are required to have student name and contact phone number. The reservationist never mentioned a confirmation call would be made by the property manager. My child had no idea what the property manager was talking about when she called to confirm. So, the property manager canceled his reservation and rented the unit to someone else. Hard lesson learned on my child’s part and made for a VERY stressful day trying to find another unit.
