Went for dinner today. Restaurant appeared to be very under staffed. Salad bar was a mess and nor fresh. The owner was at the register taking orders… very slow going. We got our salads and drinks and there were no napkins to be found. My husband asked for napkins and the owner replied, «You will get them with your meal.» Seriously? You can’t hand us two napkins? The waitress who delivered our food was friendly, but complained immediately that she was the only wait staff working and she was, in her words«going crazy.» Finally got napkins after we had finished salads and breadsticks.

When I first drove up this restaurant was surrounded by beautiful flower bushes. I was very excited to try this place as it was recommended by a local. Once inside, we walked straight up to the cashier to place our order & find a seat. The prices were relatively cheap($ 8/meal) and I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken & a friend ordered the spaghetti & marina sauce & also a side order of breadsticks. The breadsticks came out first and sadly to our realization they were simply oddly shaped pieces of bread deep-fried which resembled sopapillas at a Mexican restaurant. Next came the entrées: sadly my chicken Alfredo nor her spaghetti lived up to our expectations. The spaghetti did not have any flavor whatsoever and the chicken Alfredo was very watery and also lacked flavor. The waitress was very nice though. Unfortunately will not be returning here.

This place is really bad the chicken Alfredo taste like chicken noodle soup and the lasagna noodles are not chewable they are more rubbery than a bouncy ball.

Wow wtf is going on here… Staff has downs and literally my food tasted like Satan shit on a plate. The chicken Alfredo was terrible, Alfredo sauce didn’t even remotely resemble Alfredo… Tastes more like snot. And the chicken had a hard ass bone in it like wtf… Don’t go here please

I came here at the recommendation of a friend in the Bryan/College Station area. This is a quick, counter-service Italian restaurant that’s got a ton of potential. The chicken parmesan is incredible. It’s got the perfect mix of cheese, breaded chicken, and warm tomato sauce. Classic comfort food. Here’s the hit and miss stuff. The breadsticks are fried and can be excellent. They can also get rather oily, depending on which batch you get. The marinara that came with the pasta could use a bit more seasoning.(I’ll need to check the table for red pepper flakes next time.) This a great, convenient, go-to option in the area when you’re looking for comfort food with not a lot of hassle.

Came here for dinner to celebrate my sister’s graduation. The atmosphere is pretty chill. You other from up front and choose your entrees, then the waiter serves to your table. They have a salad bar and simple Italian dishes. I ordered the eggplant parmesean and a salad. My sister had the chicken parmesean and it came with a side of spaghetti. I really loved my dish. I love eggplant and this was my first time eating eggplant parmesean. Later when we were done eating, the owner came by to greet us. It was really nice. Great dinner with great friends and good food!

Weird yet endearing little place, owned by a crusty old Italian and his lovely family. Weird, in that you feel like you are dining in a fast food restaurant with a lot… a LOT of senior citizens. That said, this is an underrated little gem in Bryan Texas. Their specialty is the fritella, a large(huge in fact) deep-fried calzone like thing. There is a history about this dish that they will be glad to tell you about. Diet food it aint, to be sure. Their pizzas are good, thin, and basic. If in doubt, go for that. Their non-carb items are good, and I especially recommend the eggplant parm and the chicken dishes. The chicken are all good and the sauce is nice. The parm is sliced thin and instead of a pile of cheese on top, there is something I assume is bechamel sauce… not sure, but it works. There is a salad bar that is pretty underwhelming, except in as much as the lettuce bowl is full of FRESH mixed greens rather than iceberg lettuce. You have a choice of dressing: house Italian or ranch. I love the former, but locals seem to like the latter for some reason. There is wine here of the über bottom end cheapo Italian variety. to be fair, this is often what you get in a basic eatery in Italy, so don’t despair. Give this place a try!

The chicken parm is delicious! Their marinara sauce is absolutely amazing. If you order the breadsticks, prepare for a mountain of deliciousness piled on a plate. If you love chocolate, you’ll absolutely love the chocolate Fritella. I will definitely try the raspberry Fritella soon. I’ve never been to Italy, but I’m assuming this stuff the most authentic Italian I’ve ever had. I really enjoy the atmosphere and will definitely be returning.

Frittella’s gets one star because the staff was friendly. The food was awful. I’m talking worse than Chef Boyardee canned ravioli. My boyfriend, who notoriously will eat anything put in front of him, couldn’t even finish a small portion of spaghetti with meat sauce. I can’t make this stuff up, y’all. Do not eat here.

I absolutely love fritellas! I have been going here for years– the egg plant Parmesan is the best in town! I get it every time! I honestly haven’t found an eggplant Parmesan anywhere that I like as much. It’s great because you don’t have to tip and the food is cheap– locally and family owned! Warm atmosphere– they decorate for Christmas. The appetizers are yummy and cheap! I honestly like it more than café Capri. You just order in the front and sit down. It’s casual and yet the food is delicious. Give it a try! You won’t regret it! :)

I get the fettuccini alfredo every time, and I really appreciate Frittella’s simple take on the dish. It has all the essentials and proved to me that the essentials are all that’s needed. The portions could be just a bit larger to be 100% satisfied, but the quality of the noodles and sauce still have me going back.

This is really one of my favorite restaurants in town. It is sort of a guilty pleasure for me that I sometimes escape to after work. My absolute favorite is the baked ziti with a mixture of red and white sauce. However, it should be noted that they hand make most of their noodles. Their only«problem» is that 90% of the time my cravings for Fritella occur the few times when the restaurant is closed. The are closed Mondays(and a long/hard first day of the work week often leaves me desiring Fritella. They are also clised weekdays between 3 and 5pm, so while the tables are a perfect to place to get some work done, don’t think you can take a late lunch or cut out early.

The food SUCKED! The spaghetti tasted like it came out of a can. The pizza was disgusting. When we asked to speak to the manager the man that came out said that is just that we are not Italian so we don’t know what Italian food should taste like. He said it is not suppose to have any seasoning in it and if you want salt and pepper it is at the table. I mean come on can I have some parsley, basil, or garlic. He was rude and we will never go back.

We want so much to like Fritellas! We love that it’s the work of a real Italian emigrant, that it’s cute and one-of-a-kind. But Fritellas just isn’t very good. Service is spotty. Food is spotty with some good dishes, like the eggplant Parmesan, but so much that is just darn food – no reason to eat it except that you’re paying for it. Portions are generally ample. Pasta generally soft. Pizza surpassed everywhere. Fried bread sticks and marinara are killer good. We want SO to like it. But you are likely to leave disappointed. Sigh.

Fritellas is a really great place if you are craving Italian food! Nice cozy décor and a good variety of food, it’s like a place you can walk in anytime for food and don’t have to plan way before(although you might have to, coz of their hours). To start with the positives, the Egg plant Parmesan! A must have, feels a little greasy but not to the point where it overwhelms you. The flavors are just awesome. I also got to try the lasagna verde(vegetarian) which was pretty good with layers of spinach, goes well with their marinara sauce. I got the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, not mind blowing n all that, could’ve been better. And dessert! Tiramisu! Soooo goood! If you live in college station/Bryan this is definitely worth a visit. Going back there to try their chicken parm soon!

Really nice try, but… There are two things missing from the food here; Taste and Originality. The spaghetti /marinara might as well be from a can. The Fettuccine Alfredo was not only uninspired, but tasteless… it didn’t even taste like cheese. wtf? The pizza crust was flavorless, the sauce too acidic and the sausage was precooked and cut up on the pizza… like LINK sausage. The famed eggplant parm gets a hearty *meh* as well. Frying bread sticks SEEMS like a good idea, until you eat your second one and they sit in your gut like greasy little bricks. Also, for all the pasta we tried, none of it tasted«Fresh» or like it was made in the store. It tasted like it was made in a kitchen somewhere else, put on a truck and delivered… last week. IF these folks make their pasta scratch in house, it’s something they should be shouting from the rooftop… it should be all over their webpage(it isn’t). Here’s the thing; This joint COULD be great. Add some salt and spice to the sauces, cook all ingredients on the pizza, tune up the pasta recipe… maybe even put some pasta dishes in the wood oven as specials. It IS a kind of charming place, too bad we won’t be back.

Nice friendly family-run type place, very nice exterior and interior décor. Food: sub-par, unless you get the Frittella apparently. We ordered two dishes to go: 1. Lasagna was pretty plain, the tomato sauce was slightly sour but otherwise tasteless. 2. The fettuccine had a nice sauce, but the pasta was waaaay overcooked.

I LOVEFRITTELLA. Throw an eggplant parm down my gullet like a walrus at Sea World. This place is local, awesome, the people are friendly, AND they have a drive through. It’s all adorable and junk on the inside, like an old Taco Bell(wasn’t it an old TB?) gone to heaven, except that heaven doesn’t exist. Good for a quiet relaxed low profile meal, without the overtones of awkward Italian date place. I’ve seen young people birthdays and old lady parties and stuff in here. Eggplant parm is hands down my favorite item here. There’s this creamy ricotta on top, and the eggplant itself is breaded, but not heavy, and doesn’t have the same deep fried death that some other local eggy eggy parm parms have. Their red sauce is simple and basically tomatoey, the kind of stuff I haven’t been able to make at home because I just muddle it up with a zillion flavors. They’ve also got a really good green lasagna, with spinach and ricotta and stuff rather than red sauce. No meats! The only place I can get lasagna in town! They’ve got a pretty good primavera also, all the veggies still have a little bite, but I’m always left thinking there’s too much pasta, so I eat all the veggies and just a little bit of pasta. I almost always get the focaccia loaf as an appetizer. It’s so soft and warm in the inside, and it’s topped with chopped tomatoes and herbs. Perfect. The breadsticks are also fantastic. Rather than being baked breadsticks like every other whatever his name makes, they’re fried strips of their frittella dough, sprinkled with cheese and herbs. It’s almost like a savory donut strip. Seriously, get some o’ them. That dude I live with almost always gets chicken parm, so I figure that’s good if’n you like meat. They make their pasta fresh in house — you can see them walking around with it draped over little dowels. My favorites are the ziti noodles. Chomp chomp. They’re closed one day a week, and in the off hours of the day, so sometimes you just have to miss out on it. But it makes it that much sweeter when have the presence of mind to check their hours. Which are posted on their website. So check them before you go, get angry, and blame it on them rather than yourself. I typically drive through, and it’s not fast — you’ll end up waiting a good 10 minutes, but that’s because it’s not a fast food place, just a place that happens to have a drive thru. You can also call ahead and pick up directly from the drive thru window. They’re always friendly. And now I want it for dinner. Stupid new house, being stupid farther away from Frittella.
