Solid Breakfast, not spectacular but it got the job done. We needed something on our stomachs before heading to the Messina Hoff Winery nearby. I appreciate that its cooked to order and not a buffet. We were guests at the hotel, so we had to choose from the«complimentary» side of the menu which was fine. I appreciated the gesture.

I find this café completely under appreciated and underutilized(like most of Downtown Bryan). This is a perfectly lovely little café accompanying this Historic boutique hotel – modestly, yet cleanly decorated and very relaxed. I find their breakfasts extraordinarily affordable and a big plate of food. The salads are crisp(though a little heavy on dressing… so I’d recommend asking for it on the side). I saw that another reviewer complained about the coffee… I go hear often for coffee and find it perfectly acceptable. As with any service, if you aren’t satisfied, give the staff a chance to correct it by simply asking for a fresh pot of coffee to be made.

My friend and I stopped in this afternoon for pie and coffee. We’d had the key lime pie before and loved it. But today the coffee was so old and burnt that three creamers failed to lighten it. When I tasted it anyway, it was barely lukewarm. Then the pie arrived. It looked old(dried edges), but I’d have eaten it anyway IFITHADTASTEDLIKELIME. But it didn’t. No tartness at all. No lime flavour. We told the rather vapid-looking waitress that we were just not pleased and left. Huge disappointment.

This is a gem of a restaurant in downtown Bryan. Wonderful inovative sandwiches,(Vegetable Panini a favorite) with the freshest ingredients several hot dishes, Pecan Chicken is a favorite. Homemade deserts! Reasonable prices. Crisp linens, fresh flowers on the tables. Nice.
