I like the sushi, especially the Bryant roll. Hibachi is decent but varies too much from chef to chef.

I give this restaurant 4 stars because it’s quality food and authenticity of dishes and service. I’ve only eaten here a hand full of times due to the price but its location is most convenient.

Usually the sushi is fantastic. The hibachi leaves something to be desired and it always seems without fail they over cook the fried rice. Best sushi in the area by default.

I’m not a fan of raw sushi, so it is wonderful that Sakura has a large sushi menu of cooked sushi. The Sherwood Roll is my favorite. It is a crab salad roll combination. If your getting soup, the Sekura soup is much tastier than the more bland miso soup. Miso is a soy based soup while the Sekura soup has a beef broth with sliced mushrooms and scallions. If you don’t want soup, a nice salad is also available. The hibachi comes in two forms here. You can sit around the grill and partake of the preparation or you can sit at a more private table and eat your food that is brought to you by a server.

We were in the area for a sports event in Little Rock and this was the closest sushi restaurant we could find near our Bryant hotel. My family has sushi almost every time we travel around the country,(including California, Florida, New York) and Sakura was a wonderful find! Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We loved seeing the photos and explanations of the rolls on the menu, which is a tremendous help for my 11 and 6 yo kids to order. They were not too busy(half occupied at 8:00 on Sat.) so our order came out very quickly and was fresh. The edamame was not over-cooked and was generous. The«Distinguished Gentleman» roll blew us all away and the Tempura Cheesecake with vanilla ice cream was a deliciously unique, shareable treat. We swear when we are back in the area in a few weeks we will be back to Sakura!

First and last time at Sakuras. Food was cold and considering what I paid, it was not worth it.

Awesome suishi. This is the only place that you should even think about going to get suishi in the Benton/Bryant area. Normal suishi prices and they have good lunch specials.

Hey it is hibachi and sushi in Benton. Yes there are better sushi places but the hibachi is excellent and I enjoy the sushi with some nice beer any day. I would definitely recommend to anyone that lives in the Benton/Bryant area. It makes it not worth the drive to go into Little Rock just for hibachi/sushi.

Sakura is the only Japanese/sushi restaurant in Benton, so people tend to go there instead of making the drive to Little Rock to go to a better Japanese restaurant. Personally? Just make the drive. Their sushi is not bad, but Igibon in LR is MUCH better. Their hibachi grill is not that great and EVERYTHING is overpriced. More than that the owners(I’m assuming they’re the owners) are not friendly. The lady walks around staring everyone down. Whoever works the register ignores you and doesn’t engage when you go up to pay. This is the South, you got to be friendly to folks. I only go there if a group of friends is going or if someone is paying for my meal.

Love this place and love that it’s close to my home so that I can carry out as much as I like! The sushi is always fresh and delicious!

The food was fine, HOWEVER for a party of two they added an 18% gratuity without notifying me. I wonder how many others they are doing this to. It is very rare that we wouldn’t give 20%, but do NOT like having one slipped over on us. Deceptive!

I was surprised to find a great sushi bar here. The fish is fresh the presentation is superb and the sushi chef makes special items if you act accordingly. The couple next to us were sushi experts eating their California roll and complaining that the avocado portion was smaller than at the supermarket… Overall this was one of the best sushi experiences we have had in Arkansas.

We always sit at a regular table and our favorite waiter always takes very good care of us. The rolls were made well and the chicken teriyaki with brown rice was really good. Our waiter was very sweet with our toddler, it’s nice to go there on the weekend for lunch when you have kids. I have to mention that we did not enjoy the hostess staring at us for about 80% of the time we were seated. That made us uncomfortable. She was was just parked watching us like a tv show. We will come back, that’s why I’m mentioning the hostess. I hope she becomes aware of her staring problem.

Great food, slow service. Avoid the table nearest the grill. I was bumped, kicked, tripped over and spilled on all night. Ruined my experience tonight.

I am not sure what to think of Sakura. We went there for lunch to have hibachi, only to find out they don’t start until 3 pm. What kind of Japanese restaurant starts serving lunch at 3 pm? They did have sushi, but there is more to Japanese than sushi. If I wanted sushi only, I would have just went to the grocery store where it is far cheaper and just as good. I see no need to return to Sakura.

We went to Sakura with relatives visiting here from Texas. My husband was kind of hesitant to go — but the prices were reasonable at the Hibachi grill and my daughter in law got sushi(which she loves). Our dinner(my husband had steak and I had chicken teriyaki) was VERY good. The flavor was great. We had salad and Miso soup, which was very good — it just tasted a little salty to me(which is common for soups). I put some on my steam rice. We didn’t know until we got there that on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday kids 10 and under eat FREE — — and we had 5 children with us! yeah!!! THAT was nice. The kids shoveled it down — they all loved it. It is a nice, open and clean restaurant with good service. We will go there again and recommend to anyone. YUM

Great restaurant! the service was pretty good, and the sushi was fresh! I came from California to visit a few friends from Arkansas and this was the first place they took me to after i landed. The restaurant is fairly big and spacious and they have over 30 different rolls to choose from. The restaurant also had another room for habachi, but my friends decided to just stick to sushi for the night. I recommend the Sunrise Roll, 911, and the seemingly popular Razerback Roll. Mmm! Their spicy sauce is just to die for. ohh and the seaweed salad was delicious as well!

Best Worst Time Ever! During my cross-country move to Cali, I stopped into Benton, Arkansas to stay with friends. We went to Sakura, and at least I had a fantastic time. That being said, wow, they haven’t a clue. I think it was possibly because it was our Hibachi Chef’s first day. He began by trying to flip a raw egg into his chef’s hat. 1st attempt: miss and splatter on cooking table. 2nd attempt: again, miss and splatter. 3rd attempt: missed. Splatter, this time my friend got yolk on him. 4th attempt: over the chefs head, splatters on the floor behind him. The chef covers it with a rag. 5th attempt: SUCCESS! we clap. The young chef had a seemingly endless supply of «oops I messed up» one-liners, such as «ohh, too much Sake today…» He was very excitable and started throwing vegetables at us to catch in our mouths. Based on the egg experience, you may expect that his aim was bad and you would be correct. He hit me in the eye with steamy hot broccoli. I laughed it off. All in good fun. My other friend never got her steamed white rice. Perhaps due to a cognitive error, being the only one not to have fried rice. While spraying our rice with soy sauce, the yolk covered friend was also treated to some Kikkoman’s to complete the Ghallager-like experience. The chef was sooo bad, it was fun to watch. You wanted to root for him. He was an underdog. And the food was tasty, so he did ok there. The three stars, however, comes from something I did not notice but my buddy did. Remember that rag that covered the egg that splattered on the floor? Well the chef took that rag back and used it to clean his cutlery. That’s bad form. I don’t know why my friend didn’t say anything about that as it was happening. Oh well. I would possibly go back, and if I do, I’d go with a smock.

The place is nice, clean, big, and great for big parties. There’s a big dining room area, a sushi bar and a habachi room that has about 7 – 8 cooking tables. Upon walking through the double doors, you’re greeted by one of the employees and immediately seated if there is a table available. Our server quickly came and took down our drink order. I decided on the Habachi Steak dinner entrée. My food came out in about 15 minutes and it was steaming hot(If you sit near the kitchen, you can see the chefs cooking the food as the orders come). The entrée comes with fried rice(extra $ 2.75), grilled vegetables, soup and salad; it definitely filled me up and I packed the rest of my food as my lunch for the next day. The sushi here is great and tastes fresh. My favorites are the 911 roll, Bryant roll, and the Spicy Crunchy Shrimp roll. They have both specialty rolls and the typical sushi rolls(sushi and sashimi too). The prices here are reasonable. There’s an all you can eat special on the weekdays for about $ 20? and they have a three roll dinner special for $ 12(I always get this when I’m not craving one of their specialty rolls) I’ve never been in their habachi room because it’s usually crowded during the dinner rush hours, but it must be interesting to see someone cook your food in front of you. Overall, I enjoy coming here for lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly. The BEST thing about this place, it now serves beer and wine! great great great!
