DO NOT BUY MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP! They charge you an extra month like a last month. If for any medical reason you can no longer tan, say bye bye to that last month! You just pissed away $ 101 on two tans! The staff will humor you to get you off the phone but you just payed for a good lesson and that is, sign no memberships !

Last spray tan I got made me somewhat orange, there was a section the technician missed on my inner thigh and there were parts that absorbed more color than others making my fingers and elbows darker… I was still happy with the job but it definitely wasn’t the best spray tan I’ve ever had done on me. I think she made some rookie mistakes but it was still better than being pasty pale in the middle of summer at a special event.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Very informative and helpful in helping pick the best package for me. I’ve never used lotion and they were awesome in helping me pick a sample I loved so much I bought a whole bottle. Definitely my new go-​to place!

I just left a few minutes ago but could not wait to write this review. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced (I hope you are reading this, receptionist with bottom braces!).
I had never been to this tanning salon before and thought I would give it a try. I explained to the girl that I found them based on Unilocal,so you would think she would understand the value of good service, but you would be wrong.
She asked if I was planning on getting a package, and I said no, that I wanted a single session. She proceeded to tell me in the most snarky manner, «One tan isn’t gonna do anything for you, like, not even give you a base.» I was shocked, but continued trying to get a single session, when she basically insisted I was being an idiot, saying, «It’s really not going to do anything. You will be throwing your money away. So what do you want to do?» I was literally stunned and left the salon.
In retrospect, this seems utterly ridiculous. First of all, I have had many single session tans elsewhere, which have all added at least a base. If their tanning beds don’t even add a base after one session I think there is something wrong with them. How many sessions does it take to tell you even went tanning?!
Second, if I had a single session and I felt it wasn’t enough, I would either go back for another or try a different place. There is no need to try and shame me into buying a bigger package. I’m positive I can find a tanning salon that will allow me to pick my own package without trying to make me feel like an idiot.

I’m allergic to the sun and tanning beds so my only options for tanning are self
tanners or spray tanning. Without a doubt this is hands down the best place I’ve ever gone to for a spray tan. Irene couldn’t have been more helpful and informative. The color is awesome (medium). I’ve gotten MANY spray tans before at different salons and have to say this is by far the most natural looking. Bought the package on the spot. The only place I’ll go to for spray tan now.

I got a spray tan for a vacation. I’m very pale and figured why not… I read the reviews and they were in Philadelphia magazine as top 10 for spray tans, plus they give you the $ 10 discount for your first visit. I did my research about spray tanning and I felt very prepared before I went. I wanted to do a trial run before hand, but didn’t find the time or money. So I went yesterday 6÷4÷13 and I leave for my trip today, 6÷5÷13. The girl was super informative, very nice, professional, she did a great job, the application seemed even and smooth. I was impressed and she gave me everything I needed to know. She told me NOT to shower or sweat for 8 hours, but if I could do it for longer that was better. She also told me NOT to use Dove soap whenever I did because that will remove the stain, glad she told me because this is the soap I use! Again, mentioning I did all my research, this wasn’t mentioned anywhere online! So, I go home and of course the stain settles in as the hours go one, as expected. I begin to look orange :-|. This was my fear and I did express to my sprayer because I am very pale and I’ve heard how tanning (beds and other products) can go bad. So, this morning after about 17 hours post spray tan I felt it safe to shower. I shower and decide not to use soap, still fearful my stain will wash off and low and behold it still came off! Now, I have never done this before and I have mentioned I did prior research and was certain to follow all instructions of not sweating, wearing the loose black clothing, etc. and my stain still washed off. I’m very disappointed. While I wasn’t happy that I turned orange and hoped SOME of the stain would wash off, I didn’t want ALL of it to wash off. I am now pale and out $ 27+tip. I just wonder if I had done something wrong. I will be calling them back, but it will be pointless since I can’t go today being as though I leave for vacation! *sigh* I still look tan, just not as tan as I wanted. I mean that was the whole point to look bronzed… oh well. I mean it wasn’t a total waste. It lasted about a week and people did take notice saying I looked tanned, I think I justed had this idea I would be as dark as the initial spray and then when it all washed off in the shower I was confused. I will probably do another one and update my review… maybe even do the medium and not the medium/​light combo…

First time with a spray tan. Irene was very informative and sweet. They give a ten dollar discount on your first visit. Can not believe I waited so long to do this. It looks so natural. Would definitely go back again.

Best tanning I have had in the philadelphia area since I’ve moved here… Great beds, great staff, and always clean!

I occasionally tanned at Metrotans when i was super pale and looked like I didn’t live in Florida. I must say it was a pretty nice natural looking tan. I didn’t look orange! Pretty pricey for a tanning place or maybe they’re just alot less expensive in florida since most people can layout? Anyways, I do remember liking this place and it’s conveniently located in the center of everything.

This was my first spray tan experience – I am very fair skinned so typical tanning is out of the question for me – I would burn to a crisp.
I opted for the lightest shade which was perfect – the girl that did my spray tan was very nice, thorough, professional, and did a great job. The stuff smelled good and looked sooo awesome, very natural, even on my fair skin.
The facilities are super clean and the staff is very efficient. They also provided me with shower gel, lotion, etc, to maintain the tan for a few extra dollars.
I will DEFINITELY be going back!

This was my first spray tan… and I am so pleased with how it turned out! The staff at MetroTan are very professional and helpful! Nice, clean place and easy to find, good parking. I highly recommend this salon! Worth the drive!
