Great food in a clean comfortable establishment. The service is second to none. Our waitress was welcoming and efficient and even took a few minutes to chat with us. I had the special of sausage gravy and biscuits. I can honestly say it was some of the best I have ever had. My brother had the pancakes and sausage and seemed to enjoy those as well. I will definitely be coming back on my return visit next year for the Fright at the Fort event.

Good food, great view and excellent service. The haddock was crisp and VERY hot. Veggie burger and sweet potato fries are also great!(if you like veggie burgers.) People around us were oohing and aahing over the clam chowder. Cheaper and better than a lot of places in Bar Harbor. Finished the meal off with a great tour of Fort Knox. We’re very happy to have stumbled on the Grille!

The people here are nice and the food is good but it’s not really good enough to justify the overall price. I feel as though they certainly have the potential though. There’s a great atmosphere and awesome staff. The deck is nice and I would highly recommend this place for an appetizer and some drinks with friends. They are a tad pricey though,(I paid $ 30 for two breakfast plates with tip).

Went back for dinner twice after eating here for lunch. Chowder was chock full of fish and crab. Calamari was great, lobster roll was full of meat. Wait staff was very nice, and can’t beat the view! Recommend this restaurant.

Went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a local. The waterfront location offers a great view of the harbor & Fort Knox. The food and service is average. The owners are not very flexible. I arrived on a Sunday at 11:04 am for a pancake breakfast and was told that breakfast ended at 11:00 a.m. It took quite some convincing to get permission from the owners to make«an exception» and serve me breakfast. The rest of my party had to order lunch. Talk about small town mentality!

Low stars because they cook in hydrogenated oil — who does that these days? The home fries had that chemical taste that I no longer taste except in a chain like Bob Evans. I had the corn beefed hash — fine. I’d give just that 3 stars. This is the first place on my trip through New England where I had no desire to take my leftovers with me — which was more than half my plate. I love eating breakfast out on vacation(and have nearly every day) — and this was a waste of a breakfast. I’ve had some great ones in Bar Harbor and Wells. Great service though and nice view. The servers couldn’t be nicer. Oh and good coffee.

Like the name says, you will have a great harbor view, including the fort at Bucksport and the bridge that crosses the river. We went here based on the recommendation of someone local, and the Harbor View did not disappoint. This place is very casual — think coffee shop– with both comfy booths and tables. There also a full bar available plus beer on tap. Outside seating in warm weather must be great. We ordered a cup of the haddock chowder and the lobster stew. Both were very good, creamy, but needed some extra seasoning. The lobster rolls were delicious-a little too much mayo for me– and were served with French fries and cole slaw. One of us wanted mashed potatoes instead and there was no issue. Spring hours are different from summer so call ahead.

We stopped here after asking at a gas station where a good spot for breakfast was. This was a real winner. Service was not too quick but worth the wait. The eggs and bacon were wonderful, especially the bacon. Wish I knew where they got it. Coffee left something to be desired but the view of the harbor and the new bridge capped it all off perfectly.

Nice little diner style café for lunch or dinner. Our group had lobster roll, club sandwich, and wings. Service was prompt and friendly. Place was clean and cheerful. The view was fantastic. Nice deck overlooking the river and with a picture perfect view of Fort Knox and the bridge. The inside was air conditioned, and the deck had a sun screen and caught a nice breeze. Nothing fancy, but for what it was, a solid 4 stars.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to the Fort. We sat out on the patio and it was beautiful! We got sandwiches and burgers and they were all great. Exactly what we were looking for!

The reviews for this place were good which is why my husband and I stopped here to eat. But at 10:58 am when we walked in and where informed that they were no longer serving breakfast,(which ended at 11 am btw) yet the table right next to us still had their breakfast menus and were still waiting to order put me over the edge. We walked right out and found another place which was awesome. Plus the waitress was kind of rude.

Had a great breakfast here on 7÷1÷13. Good view of the bay, and Fort Knox. We had 4 children with us, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating with coloring books and crayons. The Monte Cristo was delicious. Everyone who had French toast loved it. The omelets were good too.

Randomly came across this place thanks to a Unilocal posting. Seemed like the best option in such a small town anyways, but it really was good. Outside looks like a regular building but inside its a quaint little diner with a covered patio and a really spectacular view of a bridge and Fort Knox(the colonial era fort across the water). My group was met by some friendly servers and we chose to sit on the patio. The menu definitely looked above average fair for a small town diner. I was immediately drawn to the Lobster stew, so I ordered a cup of it. Holy f**k was it good! Loaded with chunks of lobster in a butter and cream broth. Super rich tasting and quite decadent. Add some oyster crackers and you pretty much have a meal right there. I did however order one of their burgers. The Bronco — cheese, bacon, bbq sauce and onion rings on a thick beef patty. This burger was no slouch either. Surprisingly the onion rings were what really tied the burger together. I was quite impressed with how tasty and non-greasy the onion rings were. Do yourself a favor and stop here for a meal if you’re in Bucksport.

Bucksport, Maine… yeah, I had never heard of this town before, but an acquaintance of mine grew up here, so I decided to stop by. On the main drag, the Grille stood out for its great views of well, given the name, I think you can guess what. Waitresses were friendly and efficient in pouring our beers(For full disclosure, my friend and I only stopped by for some drinks). From what we saw of the place, we were generally impressed. It was clean and the bridge and fort across the harbor made for some excellent drinking scenery. So if you are heading up the coastal highway and are feeling peckish, just turn left past the bridges and go a quarter mile down the road. It’ll be on your left.

Stumbled upon this place & glad we did. The food was great. Onion rings are awesome! My BF had a burger & I had a buffalo chicken wrap. Both were delicious. The view is very nice too!

This place was a gamble since it had no reviews on Unilocal — - but it paid off. We both had fried Haddock and Sweet Potato fries with slaw and it was YUMMY!!! Clean with friendly helpful waitresses made it a very nice evening meal. I would not hesitate to recommend it or to eat there again if I were in the area.
