The food is very good and delicious! They cook very good Sichuan style dishes! If you can take spicy then you must must order mapo tofu!

BEWARE takeout orders: I spent $ 25 expecting to feed my kids and I and what I received wouldn’t even fill me up. Picture to follow. Very disappointed. I won’t ever spend my money here.

We’ve been here a couple times now and we’ve enjoyed it both times. Although they have«Mandarin» and«Szechuan“on their sign, we think they do a good job with Cantonese dishes. We haven’t had trouble getting a table here on weekends. This time around, we had pork pot stickers, chicken egg foo young, moo goo gai pan, and wonton soup. You can tell from the moo goo gai pan that the dishes here are of the Americanized variety, but we really enjoy it. The wonton soup is good, and full of vegetables, but lacks the«wokked» flavor that I like in wonton soup. The pot stickers were also good, although the wrappers were a bit thick. The moo goo gai pan and egg foo young both had excellent flavor. The meat in the dishes was cooked to perfection, extremely tender and velvety. For Chinese food, this place is literally the only game in town, but you don’t need another. The food here has always been great, and we would not hesitate to come here again.

we ordered take out on Saturday evening 4/30…kung pow beef, cashiew chicken, sweet and sour pork and chicken fried rice… the rice was very good, BUT, the three dishes were without flavor and had more cut veggies than the titled dish… and the sweet and sour pork was a very poor excuse for the dish… $ 60 for this, NOPE not again!!! we will NOT be going back… Panda Express is better!!!

Family owned by locals that care about the quality of food and service. We were greeted by the owner who really cared about our experience. My favorite is the orange chicken and sweet and sour soup! My parents loved the chow mien. Service is really good, everyone is nice and fast. I would love to come here again if I’m visiting Solvang.

Service was phenomenal and food was also amazing. Honestly a lot more than I was expecting. I had the sizzling pepper beef and egg rolls and my wife had the fried rice/sizzling rice soup. Everything was fresh and super good. Great portions and again the service was really really good. The Owner helped serve our meal was was very humble and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to any and everyone! We will be back for sure

I would give it a negative star if it was offered but it’s not, my family & I went to go eat there Sunday night we got a supreme family meal it was all good until I seen a roach running underneath where my son was sitting on a high chair. The roach was extremely disgusting & was carrying an egg, I can only imagine how many more there was. We were totally enjoying our meal until that happened, I got up informed the waitress(didn’t make a huge deal) my family & I got up & left. We asked to speak to a manager & there was no manager there. Our bill was a total of 96 dollars & we still paid because again we didn’t want to make a scene so we just left with an upset stomach & extremely discussed. Never again will we go eat there & I do not recommend.

Waited 4o minutes for food that I ended up having to take to go, because my lunch was over… starred off with waiting 10 minutes to have my order taken… definitely not happy with being told over and over that my food was ready and being bagged, but that took 10 more minutes… food was not good… small portions and warm… definitely miss North China

This is my first review although I have been there several times. Always impressed by the quality of the food. I especially enjoyed the shrimp with snap peas and the orange chicken. The pricing is reasonable and the service is good. In response to a previous post, yes they do accept credit cards. This is by far the best Chinese in the SY Valley.

I won’t come back again. Poor food, dirty table and tips are already counted in the bill, I do would like to pay tips but at least I can write down the number by myself and I know it’s about 15%.I went a lot of restaurants in Boston NY and LA, this is the only one makes me feel like I have been robbed! It’s a pleasure to pay for a nice service but I think that’s my rights to write down the number not you guys. So you guys don’t want more than 15% tips, ha?

Overall the food was decent. Very different Hot & Sour soup. Orange Chicken and Beef & Broccoli were ok. Again not too much better than decent. Staff was very friendly. Clean nice restaurant with many open tables. When we got the bill we were pretty surprised at two lunches with a side of chow mien over $ 30.

The food here was authentic, delicious but a little bit over priced, considering the fact that the servings were not big enough. There were two things that I didn’t like about this place. Firstly, a 20% gratuity was added automatically, but the service was not good enough to make me believe that the waitress deserved it. Secondly, this restaurant didn’t provide printed receipt. They only had the hand-written one instead!

Very good service, food and prices. The orange chicken is not overly sweet(perfect) and the sautéed spinach was excellent.

I can find no reason at this place to give less than 5*s. I stay overnight in Buellton now & then to ride at Zaca Station track down the road, & this place is my dinner spot & so glad I found it via Unilocal!Had the War Won Ton soup & Garlic Prawns with EXCELLENT service twice now with great consistency on both trips!!! One thing of important note is the cleanliness of this place, very rare to find such clean floors even under the tables, as I personally witnessed a worker on hands & knees cleaning under tables on the nice wood floor instead of old nasty carpet found in many noodle houses. Location is back in a small center not easily visible, Unilocal took me right there with help from google maps. I HIGHLY recommend a trip here, & Buellton is a nice little town to spend a little time in too! Time to hit the track, Zaca Station is motocross paradise!!!

This isn’t the first time I’ve dine here. Whenever we drive up to Monterey, we usually stop by Solvang to gas up and have lunch and the last couple of times we came here the service has gone down. Our first times here we were fortunate to have the manager here. He was very accommodating and smiles, but the last 3 visits has been a disappointment, especially since I kept telling my friends to stop here as well when they drove up North. They too have complained to me that it’s not at all how I described it. I have no qualms with the food. I think it’s good, but it’s every time I walk in here. The waiters are too quiet and every time I come here It’s not really busy. After the initial greeting at the door that would be the last time I would hear them. So the guy with the«hair» who I’ll call K pop, the young lady with glasses, and a new face, a young Hispanic lady were the ones today. As I put the menu down all K pop did and Girl with the glasses did was stare at me. I tried to flag down the young Hispanic lady, she saw me then pretended she didn’t and proceeded to help girl with glasses with 2 more settings on the other table. Eye contact and flagging down with hand gesture didn’t work. The reason for the nick names, they were not wearing any name tags. Already a bad sign. So as I’m happy most folks are delighted to dine here for me it was a no choice. It’s the only Chinese restaurant near the 101 exits. Will I be coming back? Perhaps. Like I said I have no qualms with the food.

From the huge aquarium at the entrance to the green tables edged with gold foil under a beautifully sealed finish, Chinese Panda offers atmosphere with touches beyond the norm. Seated quickly we were given a plate of fried wontons with sweet and sour sauce which was a nice touch. We ordered a large bowl of wonton soup and a po-po platter of appetizers. Everything was piping hot and so fresh! Although I would have enjoyed more spice in the soup, it was fresh and zippy with lots of fresh vegetables. I’m not shy when it comes to seasoning things to my satisfaction so by the time I added some more chili, soy sauce and a touch of hot mustard, I was in happy camp. Our po-po platter of appetizers was excellent. the foil chicken was far from the tiny little thing you are often served and was delectably hot and tasty. From the lovely atmosphere to the tasty food, it was a wonderful experience.
