Big Lots

So if you go way out past Pavilion, NY there is a pork farm. And each animal has its own little pen, which are known as «lots». Those farms are known in the industry as «Pig Lots.» This place used to be one of those, back when Transit Rd was just farm country. I remember when all this was farms, as far as the eye could see. Old man Peabody owned all of this. He had this crazy idea about breeding pine trees.
To put it simply, Big Lots is awesome. It’s a «junk store» but you can find a lot of great deals and cool things here. Like, the bed I sleep on, is from here, and super cheap it was too. Love it! And my winter gloves, also from here. Super cheap! I dunno why more people don’t go here. It’s like Walmart but without the evil MNC shadow hanging over you, with slightly better prices on some stuff, with way less selection, and with no Trailer Parks camped in the middle of the store. It’s also a lot friendlier and more helpful. WAY friendlier. Like the Polar Opposite of Friendly.
And if you’re trying to reach Australia, and all you have is a shovel.
Well then, Dig Lots.

Typically, I really dislike stores like Big Lots but I’ve gotta say, I found some good stuff here recently!
I found the Love & Toast brand lotion and shower crème here for $ 2 per bottle. It’s typically more than $ 10 per bottle if you buy it at Target. That’s a great find! I also found Pacific Foods Organic Broth here for $ 2/​carton, typically close to $ 4/​carton at Wegman’s. Another great find! Coppertone Sport SPF 30, 3 pack of spray bottles for $ 12 ($ 4 a bottle), when it’s normally $ 7 – 8 per bottle at other stores!
I would recommend checking expiration dates though. All of the dates on the stuff I bought goes out at least 1 year. By then, I’m sure all of my stuff will be gone.
Some items here are not cheaper than elsewhere, but if you’re willing to look around you can certainly find some good loot!

Junk store shopping at its best!
This chain is typically the type of place where you can find that special «junk» for stockingstuffers and it also is a great place to find items you just don’t normally think of.
However, aside from the snowman who looked like he was having some personal fun — there just wasn’t much here. The place was a mess — not well organized and we walked out empty handed — that doesn’t happen much!
