It’s casual, it’s cheap, and the menu is simple. This is great place for lunch downtown. They offer sandwiches(any can become a wrap), salads, soup and tacos. Call and order ahead or stop in. It’s not fancy but the food is good and all the meats are sliced fresh to order.

Fera’s on Pearl has an extremely friendly staff that seems to know all of their many regular customers. With freshly sliced deli meat and slightly toasted bread, they have the best cold cut subs around. They have been doing their thing for many years and you can tell that not much has changed here in the past 30 or so years, but not much needs to. Their homemade soups are very good as well and their prices are very reasonable.

Feras is a downtown staple. Not the best atmosphere, but the subs are fresh, meat is sliced to order, they are quick and super friendly. When comparing to other Downtown lunch spots, it’s a great way to break up the week. They usually have some great soups too.

I can’t say I understood the hype about this place. Yes, it’s inexpensive — everything is around $ 5 – 6. But still — if price were the only criterion for restos, nobody would go anywhere but fast food joints. I ordered a chef salad — this was the first vegetarian chef salad I ever received in my life — if I was alone, I would have gone back and asked questions, but I was not, so I ate it with a smile. The salad was pretty plain for a chef salad — romaine, cubed cheese, croutons, and a couple of other unmemorable things. Everything was fresh and it did taste ok, but it really was kinda disappointing to be honest. Perhaps next time I’d order a sandwich here — they looked considerably better.

The subs are good and they toast the bread. The antipasto salad is okay but not great. Don’t look too closely at the kitchen area or you might get a little skeeved.
