This place is my favorite restaurant. We went there for a family gathering and the backroom was reserved for us, we had 22 in our party, so everything was ordered from steaks, prime rib, salmon, and everything was delicious and we all had separate checks with tax and tip included. Service was excellent.. I highly suggest dining here and you won’t be disappointed!

Highly not recommended. Tried it out once with my friend and boyfriend. Three of us ordered one daily special sirloin(50 bucks!) and a pork dish(30 bucks) and a appetizer(10 bucks). We waited for half an hour before we get the good, and turns out everything except the appetizer are undercooked(still see blood on the pork). Then the waitress take it back and we waited another 20 minutes… Finally waitress said«dessert on us». So three of us ordered two desserts, and she charged us for one of them! Two people got undercooked meals, waited 50 minutes to get eatable food, and they get one dessert because of that?! We are definitely not coming back, and tell our friends not to.

This used to be my favorite restaurant years ago. I must say that the food quality has gone downhill. We ordered escargot as an appetizer and it was tasteless. The steak was tough and undercooked. The salad bar used to be fabulous, but now it is just average. The food is very overpriced and not very good. Even the service was disappointing.

The food and service was excellent! Price was comparable to chain steak joints, but way better.

Overall poor experience. Not that the food was awful. It was ok. but the hostess was running around struggling to even find menu’s and we had to wait to be seated for 15 mins all while staring at an empty dining room. And another 15 for our server to show up. Food was bland. Bathroom was a mess. Honestly not worth the price for the quality of steak. Will not be returning.

This restaurant is the equivalent of amateur hour at a comedy show when comparing to other steakhouses in the area. I went there with a friend and we were immediately greeted by our waiter who listed the specials and said a «cocktail waitress» would be with us momentarily to take our drink orders. We find this extremely odd as «cocktail waitresses» are typically suited for a lounge atmosphere and not the stuffy, old, barn like décor of this restaurant. In any case, after 15 minutes past our waiter asked if we were ready to order. We informed him the cocktail waitress still hasn’t come and he said he would find her. Instead of just taking our order himself, we literally watched him wander around for five minutes trying to find this elusive waitress. She eventually came over looking quite clunky and inexperienced, but eventually we got our drinks. We placed our orders, and each got the special, the ribeye with a Cajun dry rub, one medium and one medium well. As we waited we went to the salad bar which seems to be a selling point for the clientele of this restaurant(older), because it seems like you’re getting more bang for your buck when in reality it is what it is… a salad. Our food eventually comes out, both steaks are rare, I mean the cow was just killed in front of me rare. We tell the waiter and he takes them back to be cooked longer. While we wait(again), the table next to us does the exact same thing(sending rare steaks back). The steaks come back, we notice that the waiter mixed our plates up in the process of bringing them to the kitchen and back. We also notice that in the recooking process all of the Cajun seasoning is gone. Overall, this restaurant is a complete disaster. If you want to feel like you’re out for a classy dinner where you can fill up on salad and be modestly satisfied then this is the place for you. If you want quality food than please save your money and avoid this establishment. Never again!!!

My husband and I come here for special occasions. The service and food is always great. My husband loves the beef kabobs. The Cedar Plank Salmon was delicious. We enjoy the salad bar, too. We will definitely return!

8 of us came here while in town for work — half of which were from Japan. I had not actually been here but a few of the others were big fans so I trusted their choice. Note that this review is in regard to the area, it probably would not get 4⁄5 if comparing to steakhouses in other areas. We ordered a wide variety of appetizers and particularly enjoyed the clams casino. The salad bar seemed to be a hit with everyone — for me this isn’t really my thing. I’m not a huge«buffet» person or «salad bar» one. However, the quality was fine — nothing spectacular but it absolutely could have been much worse. For an entrée I ordered a buffalo filet — it was cooked well, not quite as «medium rare» as I would want ideally, but it was good. As sides were brought out, we were drastically over served — by this I mean that a mistake was made and they were beginning to duplicate orders which wasn’t a big issue necessarily but actually got to be an annoyance as the most ridiculous amount of mushrooms I have seen came out, and continued to do so. In reality I would probably rank Scotch N Sirloin a 3.5 — but I’m rounding up rather than down given the surroundings. If you’re in the area craving a steak, come by you’ll be satisfied.

Service was outstanding. Place needs a good cleaning and attention to detail. Lots of cobwebs and dust along with mismatched or burnt out lighting. The filet mignon was tough and had tendons in it. Seemed more like top serloin. I would avoid again.

This place has been around since 1969, that’s a long run for a restaurant. It means that you’re doing something right. Okay, if you want to dine in a trendy place, with all the latest fads, go elsewhere. If you don’t like steak, go elsewhere. If you want a burger, go elsewhere. The steaks here are very good, I’ve been going here since my parents took me here in 1977. My friends and I go here about every 6 months. It’s always been good. I’ve been here with people who ordered steaks medium well and they said that the steak was not great, but that’s because it’s overcooked. Also, you should know how to order, a steak ordered medium will have a bit of pink in the center. Yeah, look it up. I’ve had seafood here and it’s good. My wife loves the horseradish crusted salmon. This place may not have the hype, or be trendy, but they do know to cook a steak.

I’ve been to this restaurant many times before and for a pesctarian it can seem overwhelming– but alas, there are veggies and chicken options that are quite delicious. I’ve tried the marinated veggies over curry rice which was more delicious than I anticipated. The staff is very friendly; but it did take some time for our table to get food. Other than that, no complaints.

I am not a go out on New Year’s Eve kind of girl. But Don is getting his appetite back since starting Chemotherapy, and I thought we could use a treat. We had reservations for 6:30 pm, didnt get seated until 7 pm, but there was plenty of room at the bar to sit and wait, so it was fine. They had their full menu, so there were many choices. Don started with French Onion soup that was savory and loaded with baked Cheese. I had the Shrimp Cocktail which was nothing special. Our meals came with the salad bar, which is small but satisfying. Don wanted a lobster tail and scallops, but that particular combo wasnt on the menu, but it was no problem getting it anyway. Don said the lobster melted in his mouth. I had the prime rib cooked perfectly to the medium rare I ordered. it had the right amount of fat to make the meat moist without actually being fatty. It was a very nice way to ring in the new year.

Not impressed. My boyfriend had a very undercooked steak when he asked for medium and my fish was extremely fishy tasting. None of it was edible.

The food was OK. It earned about 3 ½ stars. But the service was painfully slow. I was there on a midweek night when there were not very many people there. The poor service combined with the so-so food averages out to a 3 star rating.

Heard excellent things from friends so me and my boyfriend decided to visit! Great salad bar, awesome French onion soup but I probably could’ve gotten a better steak from Ruby Tuesday. Sent it back twice because of how uncooked it was, both times it was still cold in the middle. I was actually eating a raw cow. No thanks, our last time visiting that restaurant.

Rustic look both exterior and interior. Although both could use an update. I wasn’t sure where the doors to enter were until my fiancé told me where he had just seen people walk out from. But they are literal barn doors. Like I peeked in through it and was hesitant to open the door because I felt like I was going to walk into someone’s murder lair. However I was wrong. The inside was a little dirty looking, had dust webs hanging from the ceiling and the floor didn’t look very clean, but that could be due to the whole outdated wood look. Wood walls, wood tables, wood chairs. There were strings of lights up on the wall — not sure if it’s always like that or if it’s just because it’s around the holidays. But if they’re not they need to be because it’s one of the main lighting sources and only decent décor in the place to go along with the wood everything. Our meals came with a side potato or vegetable choice and the unlimited salad bar. Salad bar was great, fresh and unique options for both toppings and dressing. Also a variety of bread to choose from. I ordered the petite filet mignon 8oz($ 32). When I got it, the filet looked much smaller than I’d expected but going with the cheaper size was probably a good idea. Not much taste to the filet at all other than the A1 sauce and salt i smothered on it. I ordered medium rare, most of the middle was but the outsides which were 50% of the steak since it was so small, tasted burnt and old, kinda had a liver taste… Which I do love liver but I don’t love a steak that tastes like one… Kinda makes me feel the meat was rotten. Since the beef was advertised as freshly cut I kinda had much higher expectations on the quality of steak. Also my filet was chewy and hard to cut which should not be the case for the most tender cut of steak. Not too sure if I’d give this steak a second try. My baked potato also was burnt and dried out… Even with the butter and sour cream I felt I needed triple the amount to stop getting it stuck in my throat. Luckily I had a Groupon so my meal was discounted so the fact that I didn’t overly enjoy my meal didn’t entirely disappoint me, but I wish I could’ve said I liked this place more. Overall it was ok. Service was great, our waiter was polite and very attentive, a quality most restaurants lack lately. So that made the experience better.

Dinner with my cousin. Our server was Brian and he was wonderful, he knew the menu and was able to answer all of our questions. He provided service with a smile on a very busy evening. We shared two dishes, a bleu cheese and bacon crusted ribeye and scallops au gratin both served with the salad bar and baked potato. The scallops were some of the best we’ve ever had. The steak was cooked to order but the toppings were a bit much for our liking. The staff, as a whole and individually, were wonderful! Our server had a party of 12+ and they gave him a hard time about the number of Groupons they could use, seriously, just split the bill. He kept his cool the whole time and still had a smile on his face when he came to our table. We would return without hesitation!

This was my first time(and my last). A friend from work and I were getting drinks across the street and wanted to try somewhere for restaurant week so she suggested Scotch n Sirloin, I’d never been so I unfortunately agreed. First of all this is a MUCH older clientele so don’t go expecting to be surronded by a younger crowd(no one was under 40 when i was there). It’s a bit dark and tavern-y. The salad bar was the only high point for me and it seemed to be missing some salad bar staples while having some odd additions. But hey, a salad bar is a salad bar and even though it was iceberg lettuce peppered with spring mix it was ok. Now for the food… my friend got the restaurant week special which was their small steak option. The steak was 8oz and defintiely looked small. She asked for it medium and it was almost burnt. I just ordered chicken fingers which were fine but the fries were limp and super greasy. I will give them a small break because it was restaurant week but I don’t think anyone there was actually participating in it. Their menu is small enough to begin with that they shouldn’t have struggled with the 8 options they were offering as specials. Overall not a fan and not worth the time/money.

I read some pretty bad reviews before coming here, so I was skeptical. Don’t believe everything you read. I had a great experience. My boyfriend & I went at 7:00pm on a Friday– peak restaurant traffic time. Truthfully, our service was a little slow, but the restaurant was packed. Otherwise, the service was VERY professional. The food was delicious(as was the dessert). I will definitely go again.

Place has not changed in years, But, please don’t ever change because it is perfect. Have not been there in years, which I now regret. First off service was excellent. Everything was perfect. Food was awesome. Prime Rib and steaks were very good. I ordered a special seafood dish that was offered that evening. It was excellent. Wait staff gets an A+ What a perfect evening
