I don’t always eat at Tim Horton’s, but when I do, I probably have a child in the hospital and the kitchen is closed. Yes, I choose hospital food over Tim Horton’s. That’s how much I dislike it. The donuts are sickly sweet, and I say that as a fan of Krispy Kreme, Dunkin’ Donuts and especially Paula’s. The chocolate cream is probably the worst offender. It tastes very synthetic. The crispy chicken sandwich at Tim Horton’s is thin, rubbery and meh. I’ve microwaved a better Banquet patty. Plus it’s overpriced. Comparatively, the hospital’s breaded chicken sandwich actually tastes pretty good, and it’s nice and meaty. The Angus steak and cheese sandwich I had last night was actually decent, but it’s also overpriced, especially for the small amount of steak it contains. I expect a $ 6+ fast food meal to include a side and a drink. Service is below average. Also, what is it with Western New York and Pepsi products? No, Pepsi is not okay. Ever. Unless you have cherry. And most places don’t…but do you know who does? The hospital cafeteria.

TH seems to have gotten the contract for all Medical Hospitals in the area. Women’s and Children’s is no exception. Used by hospital staff and visiting guests this can get very busy around shift change times. TH is not my coffee supplier on a regular basis, but this one seems fine. 3 stars — it’s a chain.
