I didn’t get to go to the actual shop, but my league tabled next to them at the Siege of CNY roller derby tournament. I didn’t catch the woman’s name, or maybe my memory is just failing me, but she was awesome, super friendly, knowledgable and offered great services merchandise (from apparel to skates and maintenance!) I’m from WNY originally and I can’t wait to check out the shop when I’m back in town!

Ilana and her staff at Turnaround are amazing! They have saved this derby girl’s butt on more than one occasion! Knowledgeable, friendly, and crazy helpful. Can’t say enough good stuff about this place!

Turnaround Skates is the bomb. All the employees, including the owner Ilana, really know their stuff, can make recommendations as to gear, and are super friendly. I’ve never visited the Buffalo location, but they bring their merchandise (and services, like wheel re-​grooving) to Rochester on a regular basis for Roc City Roller Derby’s bouts, and are always a welcome presence there!
