What a nice place to grab lunch, especially if it’s cold outside. The restaurant has a very warm, inviting, and comfortable atmosphere. The way you order is just like how you would at Chipotle or Moes, you order at the counter and then take a number and they bring your food to you. The grilled cheese sandwiches are fantastic. Plus, the variety they have for them is really nice too such as adding gouda cheese, bacon, mushrooms, peppers, etc. The bread is buttery and crunchy. I was also really impressed with the soup. I’ll be back!

There’s a big buzz going around about this place, so I figured I would try it out. The concept is very cool, and I never had known that you could make so many variations of grilled cheese. The prices here are a bit high. It cost me $ 7.50 for a sandwich and a soup dipper on the side. Also, the food was pretty good, but it wasn’t anything that stood out, and it wasn’t all that filling.

It’s a good lunch stop alternative to the typical hamburger and french fries. They have the basic grilled cheese and tomato soup with plenty of alternative options(ham, turkey, chicken, wheat bread, rye bread, american cheese, gouda, etc. etc.). Seating and atmosphere was pleasant. Parties of 1 – 4 will do well, with larger parties having trouble putting more than 4 seats together. The menu is reasonably priced, leaning towards slightly overpriced($ 8 for a sandwich, drink and chips). Be mindful the wait time is more than expected or what one would expect to be «average». Overall, a nice place to eat with good food on the traditional staple cold weather lunch of grilled cheese and tomato soup. Leaving, the longer than expected wait time for my food still lingers in my mind. Happy eating!

I’ve always wondered what this place was, so again I hit up Unilocal and found out it was grilled cheese sandwiches! I haven’t had a grilled cheese in a long time so I decided to pop in and try it out. Interior of the place is nice n clean, TVs and very spacious layout. I ordered the mac n cheese grilled cheese and it is to die for! I’m a huge mac n cheese junkie and this was very good. Again personal preference the bread could have been a little bit more crunchier, but it was still a good sandwich. Also i tried the grilled cheese doughnut??? Something I would have never thought would have worked, but surprisingly it was delicious! Great mix of sweet n cheesy goodness that had my taste buds in a whirlwind. Definitely coming back to try the smores and other sandwiches in the future Id recommend this place if you want to go back to your childhood and have a delicious grilled cheese or if your kinda skeptical if a doughnut and cheese would taste good!

Took the family out for a grilled cheese.(Who would have ever thought). We had the Flying Pig, Pep Che and the grilled Mac n Cheese grilled cheese. Place very clean, friendly staff and grilled cheese. Also don’t forget the Tomato Soup. Bring the girls they will enjoy!

First time trying this joint after seeing it on Shark Tank it was on my list of must have… Me and my girls ordered the Philly Cheese, son had the traditional Grilled and so did my husband on gluten free bread. All sandwiches were finger licking good and the creamy tomato soup was an excellent pairing. Definitely looking forward to coming back. So returned back and my daughter had the Bacon Mac —-outstanding.

Tried this weekend for the first time– was really good. Very different. Don’t be afraid to try something that’s sounds slightly off! It all works just trust it! Prices are very good and service was prompt and friendly. Just remember it’s fast food– I was disappointed with the cleanliness. Needed a good scrubbing– that’s why not 5! Try the strawberry lemonade fried donut for dessert– it rocks

2.5 stars really Ok food, $$/4 pricewise, hipster décor lots of metal and wood Saw this place on shark Tank and really wanted to visit and try it out. Sort of disappointed I was expecting a lot more pizzazz to just grilled cheese sandwich. Especially for something that I can make if I bought all the exotic ingredients Had the pesto and turkey-ok to good $ 7, regular grilled American cheese for the kids — they liked it, had the build your own sandwich– rye goat cheese pepperoni-ok $ 7, side of Mac and cheese-ok, Blt and cheese-ok $ 6.50. We didn’t get tomato soup cuz we’re not tomatoes soup people. Would sort of like recommend if you’re in the mood and not willing to cook, and ditto to before for us coming back.

I saw it first on the television show, «Shark Tank». One of my favs. So you mean to tell me, these 2 guys took a home grown, simple meal and created this awesomeness? And they are possibly making millions doing it? I am inspired. I had to try it and when I ran across a location in Georgia, I scurried to it. Scurried? Geez, I must really be a foodie. I was that guy. Yes, that guy in the front of the long lunch line like,“Uhhh, what’s good here”(finger on the chin)? After a hymn and a hahhh, I decided on the Bacon Chicken Ranch Sandwich with tomato soup of course. I ate there on the patio, which is a really cool area. That sandwich was pretty tasty. I could tell it was no hold bars on the calories. Bread so buttery. Meat so tender. Cheese on ooze. Oooohhh! The soup was good, but just good. However, in my opinion, the title of «Best Tomato Basil Soup» in the restaurant industry still belongs to La Madeleine. The soup at TC was good but it was just missing something. I often think about this sandwich. I need to go back.

You order at the counter and get a number to place on your table, and they bring your food out to you when it’s ready. Service was good, and we didn’t have to wait very long for our food. — Classic Grilled Cheese Donut($ 3.95) — The main reason we came here. I am a huge fan of the sweet and salty combo, which is what I was hoping to, but didn’t get, from this grilled cheese donut. It lacked flavor. More cheese would have made it better as well. I’m happy to have finally tried a grilled cheese donut, but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype for me. They have three different tomato soups to choose from, Classic Tomato, Creamy Tomato Basil, and Chunky Tomato Basil. There was also potato soup available on the day that we went. You can choose from a bowl, cup, or just a soup dipper size, which is the smallest size appropriate for dipping your sandwich in or if you just want to taste test. We got soup dippers in all 3 tomato soups. –Classic Tomato Soup Dipper($ 1) — Mainly dipped our Grilled Cheese Donuts in this one. It’s okay for that, but not so great on it’s own. Like other reviewers have said, it’s resembles watered down pizza sauce. We didn’t bother to finish all of it. –Creamy Tomato Basil Soup Dipper($ 1) — This was the best choice out of the three. I actually really enjoyed the flavor! I finished all of it. I would definitely order this soup again in a larger size. –Chunky Tomato Basil Soup Dipper($ 1) — Just don’t order this soup. It was really bad. I was shocked about how much this varied from the creamy version. I guess it’s the chunks of tomatoes that make this soup extremely watery. The flavor was not great either. We had been excited to try this place after seeing a clip of them being featured on Shark Tank, but overall we were left unimpressed. I would come back and get the creamy tomato basil soup again and maybe to try another sandwich. They had several other choices that looked pretty good!

I heard about this from Shark Tank and decided to try it out. It is very close to Mall of Georgia so perfect location — go shopping then have a nice meal afterwards :0) The atmosphere is clean, bright and inviting. There is plenty to choose from on the menu. I got the Tom+Chee sandwich, Shroom(mushroom) sandwich, classic donut sandwich, and chunky tomato basil soup. Everything was excellent but I was not crazy about the soup. I tasted too much garlic in my soup. I am sure the classic soup is much better. The sandwiches all were so gooey and yummy. The place is perfect for vegetarians or anyone looking for a simple, filling meal. I think it is family friendly; kids will love it! Who does not like grilled cheese sandwich? Wednesdays from 4−9pm(I think I got the time right– call the store to be sure) the donut sandwiches are half off. I will return. Yay! My tummy is happy :0)

Love this place… Like how a fat kid loves cake as some would say. You can’t have too much cheese… And there’s a soup dipper so that you don’t have to consume a whole cup. Feeling healthy? Then get a salad here… Feeling guilty? Then you must get a grilled cheese donut!!! Be a winner and take on their bakers dozen grilled donut challenge!

Daughter and I have been meaning to stop in here since she came home for summer break from college, but today was the first chance we’ve had. Both of us now wish we’d be sooner, and plan to return! I had the Turkey Club with a Chunky Tomato Basil dipper, and she had the build your own classic grilled cheese with a bowl of Classic Tomato soup. Daughter loved the soup and her sandwich. I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich but found the soup lacking(it tasted bitter, with none of the natural tomato sweetness coming through – like maybe it was scalded or overcooked). Overall we were very pleased. The staff was friendly and polite, the space is clean and fresh. We will be back!

Really high hopes for this place since I saw the chain on shark tank. While the sandwhich is good, you get very little for your money. We ordered the chicken crunch, a kids meal with tomato soup and a chocolate bacon donut grilled cheese. Overall the food was okay, but not worth it at all. The soup tasted like watery pizza sauce. The chicken was dry. I really wasnt impressed. The dessert was really runny, but thats going to happen with anything that gets heated really. Cant help that. I actually liked this the most out of all the sandwhiches.

Came in expecting less due to the few reviews that I read but still wanted to take a peek. When we pulled up the place was packed. The food is wonderful. I got the Pesto Turkey and Creamy Tomato Basil soup and a friend got the Flying Pig. We also got a Blueberry Blue(but subsituted brie for blue cheese) which was really good. Average price for food like this. Only issues were: 1) the pesto was a little more oily than it should have been but the cheese may have added to that. The flavor made it worth it in the end. 2) The substitution of cheese on the Blueberry Blue was $ 1 making the whole thing nearly $ 7(a steep price for something that size. It was really good. But not THAT good)

I can certainly appreciate the concept of a fast-casual grilled cheese sandwich restaurant. I mean, it’s classic comfort food — and who doesn’t like that? While I do like the concept, it is unfortunately Tom + Chee’s greatest limitation. The ubiquitous grilled cheese sandwich is so well known to American families precisely because it is so simple to make. That to me begs the question: Can Tom + Chee really make a grilled cheese sandwich better than the average American household? Gone are the days of childhood delights — Wonder bread and individually wrapped cheese singles. Instead, drop in any conceivable amalgamation of sliced bread, cheese, and bevy of additional toppings — bacon, onions, peppers, mustard, tomatoes, mushrooms, pesto, hummus,… the kitchen sink. That is the essence of Tom + Chee. Or simply defer to their«Fancy Grilled Cheese» menu. Seeming like the most adventurous option, I sighted-in on the«Armagoetta» featured on the Travel Channel’s «Man v. Food Nation». The ingredient list for this sandwich is enumerated thusly: Goetta, Spicy Cherry Peppers, Fried Onions, Sweet Hot Mustard, Pepperjack, Sourdough, and Rye. What, pray tell, is this«Goetta» of which you speak? Unless you have been romping about in the forsaken squalor that is Ohio, you probably wouldn’t know. Goetta, apparently, is a type of breakfast sausage originating from the Cincinnati area. Truth be told, the Armagoetta made for an interesting and mostly pleasing combination of flavors. The sweet and spicy mustard particularly stood out, in a good way. The cherry peppers offered a punch of heat, and the onions a bit of crunch. Strangely, the star ingredient Goetta got lost somewhere in the sandwich — much like the Buckeye state from whence it came. All in all, a pretty tasty grilled sandwich — though you may be searching for antacids soon after. So, to my earlier question — Can Tom + Chee really make a grilled cheese sandwich better than the average American household? Yeah, but it’s still just a grilled cheese sandwich. :)

Tom + Chee hit the spot for us on this chilly, rainy Friday night. We had thought about Panera but figured we’d try something new and came here. The layout of this place makes it easy to figure out what to do when you walk in(which I like, because I have anxiety LOL) The staff was friendly and our order was quickly placed. We ordered the Flying Pig, Mac & Chee, cup of creamy tomato soup, bag of chips and for dessert Grilled Cheese Donut and the Choco Bacon Donut our total was $ 30 and that also included one drink. Our food was actually pretty good. The bread was nice and buttery, yet not greasy and soggy. I really enjoyed the soup and even more I enjoyed dipping the Mac and Chee in the soup… No complaints there. What we weren’t so thrilled about was the Donut Desserts. They just didn’t taste«right»; especially not the choco bacon one. It’s a lot of chocolate moose, so much so that you can hardly tell there is bacon in it. I was a little disappointed mostly because I expected to get something as delicious as the Krispy Kreme Burger next door at Parma with that grilled donut… But hey, that’s ok;different place, different food. We will come back and just skip dessert, no big deal!

I wanted to love Tom Chee, but at the end of the day, it was marginal at best. I came for lunch and got The Tom Chee sandwich– grilled cheese with diced tomatoes– with a cup of basic tomato soup. The sandwich was okay, but the bread was so greased/buttered that it tasted sort of like pizza. The tomatoes on it were mealy and pale. The tomato soup wasn’t great either, but it was better than the sandwich. The combo came to less than $ 10, and the portions were sizeable. But the food just wasn’t all that great. I might give it one more shot and try something different, but as is, I can’t really shout about Tom Chee.
