The food is delicious here! The also make the sushi with brown rice, which is not the norm at most sushi places. The service was also great. We will continue to go back.

I love this place! I mostly order for delivery and it comes so fast and they pack is meticulously. The cold items get bags with ice, the hot items are well insulated. I recently went to eat there and the waiter was so kind. Funny, joke telling, but left you to eat. Prompt service, amazing food. I am a big fan.

Strong odor here due to the sushi preparation. Thought it would be bad, but ordered a curry noodle dish which was very good. The waiter(owner?) was very unique.

This place really has its ups and downs… when it’s up, I might give it at least 4 stars. We’ve been coming here for years. I have seen a huge turnover in the sushi chef(s). When they have a good chef, things are good. Then all of a sudden, that guy is gone — to be replaced by a not so good newbie. One thing we liked about this place was that you could walk in on a Saturday night and be seated right away. And no problems with parking. And everything seemed fresh. We always preferred to sit at the sushi bar. However on our last visit, we actually sent a dish back to the sushi chef. Never did that before, but it just did not taste fresh. And they(of late) always seem to be out of my favorite sashimi(yellowtail belly). I expect a sushi restaurant to have these items in stock — It’s nothing exotic! I don’t know if it’s the owner doing cut-backs or poor judgement on the part of the sushi chef. Because of our last visit, we probably won’t go back.

I gave a 3 star because waiter is nice. They need to keep their good sushi chef and bring back firecracker James. The sushi was good but today they have a new guy. He is pretty good but does not wow me.

I was at work craving sushi and I just so happened to drive by this place. having ate there before I had to stop and order to go. It was 100% worth it. Their rolls are fantastic and I was able to custom order some noodle dish. I highly recommend this place. very friendly staff and good for the whole family.

Probably the best Asian fusion in Burbank. Their sushi is good and they offer take-out and delivery. I really like them for lunch, great bento boxes with lots of options.

Can’t agree what kind of Asian food to get or like A LOT of options? Then definitely come here. It’s got a little bit of everything and descent prices Bc of the wide variety, I feel the food is «just ok.» Great service and attentive staff. It’s like your favorite local Chinese restaurant but much much more.

I ordered Burning Bonzai one day while visiting my grandmother. We selected Burning Bonzai because of the delivery they offered. My experience with Burning Bonzai was mixed. First off, the menu is very expansive, with options for all and a blend of Chinese and Japanese food. I ended up ordering the Chicken Siu Mai, Soup Dumplings, Spicy Tuna Roll and Plain Pork Lo Mein Noodles. The delivery did not take too long, perhaps about 45 minutes from when we ordered it. They thoughtfully went to the effort to separate the sushi from the other warmer items and even included a bag of ice to keep the Spicy Tuna Roll chilled. Unfortunately, the ice was of little effect as the Spicy Tuna Roll was one of the worst I’ve ever had. The Chicken Siu Mai was equally bad, resembling a rubbery ball more than an authentic piece of Siu Mai. The soup dumplings were quite tasty, but I wished there were more of them as they were on the small side. Despite some misses with some of the dishes, the lo mein noodles really came through. Feeling as though I am on a constant, but unsuccessful search for decent lo mein noodles in LA, I was surprised to find that the ones offered at Burning Bonzai were among the best that I’ve had in town. Although I’m not sure that I would venture too far from the lo mein and soup dumplings, they were good enough to return for.

This place is literally the Cheesecake Factory for Asian cuisine. They have such an extensive menu; they serve Chinese, Japanese and Thai food! I came here for dinner per my friends recommendation and we ordered a ton of food. We got the Pad Thai(which was alright not my favorite), The White Dragon Sushi Roll(to die for! must try if you like spicy), The Basil Shrimp(probably the best thing we got here). I also got a Spicy Tuna Hand roll, it was alright, not great. The place is very nicely decorated, kind of cozy and romantic lighting. The staff here is beyond nice. We were greeted right as we walked in and we had an awesome waiter who was beyond attentive. Great place to come for date night or a night out with the girls, can go either way. And the best thing about this place is that they deliver! I cannot wait to come back here.

First time at this place. Pretty small but nice décor. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, to be honest we had a lot of fun here, felt like a nice friendly bar with great sushi. Rainbow Tartare was by far amazing, not only did it look amazing but tasted even better. I saw truffle garlic edamame on the menu, but was very dissapointed because it felt like they just poured a bunch of eel sauce and garlic on it. A bit overpriced, but defiantly worth it. Our whole group enjoyed this spot and delicious food.

This is probably the worst sashimi I’ve had in Burbank aside from the frozen fish I got at Momotoro. The salad was SOSMALL for $ 12 and even though there were several small chunks of salmon and poke, if I was blindfolded, I probably couldn’t tell which was which because they both barely tasted like anything. Definitely not fresh. For the BEST poke salad around, go to Niko Niko. They blow this place out of the water.

Food is good, I like the sushi here, and the green curry is a must try. Salmon skin salad is crispy and fresh Red snapper sushi is very flavorful with ponzu sauce Sushi and roll has just enough spicy mayo on it and spicy tuna is very delicious. BBQ pork fried rice done very nicely just like the one I had in china. Inside is very nicely decorated, clean and cozy. I will come back with my friends for more.

Burning Bonzai is a great little sushi joint. My fiancé and I love coming here for casual sushi dates. Every time we come here the food is fresh and the atmosphere is casual. I really recommend anyone that wants quick service and great sushi to give a burning Bonzai a try.

PROS: Friendly and polite wait staff Serve both Japanese and Chinese inspired dishes CONS: Overpriced. Lunch box specials $ 11+, might be better off getting a la carte. Rolls average $ 13 but are on the small side. Taste. I know when I order Americanized Chinese food it’s going to be bad. But bad in a so-bad-it’s-good kind of way you know? Not here. My Thai basil tofu dish was coated in a gelatinous brown slime that masked any other flavor that may have been present in the dish. Strangely my husband’s almond chicken dish was slathered with the same brown goo. It was so salty I opted to rinse off the broccoli in my water glass to make it more palatable. Television. Hey sushi chef, I understand that 2:30 pm is a slow time and you may want to catch up on your crime dramas. But watching people talk about rape, murder, bodily fluids, etc. really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Or was that just the brown sauce talking?

This place cannot even make half decent sushi rice. Overpriced and overhyped. They could not change a $ 100 bill. Said they did not have the key to the cash register, really??? Take your money to one of the 1000 other sushi bars in the area.

Fish not super fresh, people are very nice, prices are high even for the area. One good bright spot: salmon skin salad was ample in size even though $ 2 more than every other place in a few mile radius.
