I LOVETHISPLACE! They have a great selection of food whether it be pork, fish, or sides! They also have a good assortment of beverages, including spirits. The service is great and the atmosphere fits the food, fun and a twist on classic favorites. Some days they run out of their popular stuff, but I totally understand why!

What a delicious place for BBQ. A place just outside the city. Everything I tasted was delicious. They have different kinds of BBQ sauce. The ribs were fall off the bone to die for. You can’t go wrong with anything you want to eat. We had a variety of foods. BBQ combo had a choice of a 2nd meat. I chose the rib tips and 2 sides. The mac & cheese is to die for. And the Cajun green beans. You won’t be disappointed at any of your choices.

Love coming here, never had a bad meal or cocktail. This is the first time I ordered BBQ, I normally order from the Cajun menu. Had the beef brisket-delicious. Also had the Cajun Cakes, amazing! My husband had the special, carne asada which was also very good. We explored the cocktail menu and they were all delicious especially the It Must Be Good For Me.

We came here for the Mother’s Day brunch. Food was excellent, the buffet was never super crowded, they were never out of anything. The smoked chicken was some of the very best chicken I’ve ever had. Chuck himself was carving the meats and very friendly, he even paid all the tables a personal visit to make sure everything was great. My coffee cup was never empty. Very very delicious food and a very helpful professional staff. I hope to come back soon!

I ordered eggs over medium with the extreme breakfast. I recieved runny, soupy eggs and burned sausage. Very disappointing. You have to get the basics down.

Love this place. BBQ is good and they have great other options too. I’m a sucker for enchiladas. The two little ones always appreciate the kids menu and soups. Some favorites are the buffalo chicken po boy, cochintia pebil, and the brisket. The breakfasts a really good too. Do your self a favor and visit here if you have not yet. Also great beer selection. Margaritas are very good too.

One of the best, probably no-longer-a-secret places around. Meat combo is amazing as is every side. Go with a group and try them all. Definite hit is the smoked corned beef brisket sandwich. Juicy and full of tons and tons of flavor you’ll wish it never ends! Brunch is an absolute treat too, as are the monthly specials. Apparently the guy trained under Charlie Trotter and Rick Bayless. It shows. So yummy!

The Sunday special — mexican pot roast, is excellent. All the other food is good but I’m not the biggest BBQ fan. They always have may different soups and almost all are excellent.

Went here on a Sunday to meet with friends. The atmosphere reminds me of typical bbq places, what surprised me was the brunch menu was more on the side of traditional breakfast dishes and Latin inspired ones(like chilaquiles). I ordered the Eggs Benedict and was pleasantly surprised on how yummy it was. I liked that it was well seasoned and the spinach was on point. The bread was also nice and soft with crusty edges, just the way I like it. I didn’t try any of the bbq stuff but I’ll definitely come back again to give it a try.

Wow. Chuck’s has really lived up to their name. Everyone and their mother has recommended this place. We finally checked them out and they were amazing. Jambalaya was just the right amount of flavor and southern fried catfish was total deliciousness. We’ll definitely be back and can’t wait for the crawfish broil!

Such a surprise to find such a good little Mexican café hidden with a barbecue front. Rivals Rick Bayless! We will be back!!! We didn’t try the barbecue. But the sauce it great. All of the sauces were super. Wait staff very nice! Great specials.

Damn good stuff. Loved it Borrego Adobado– tender rack of lamb char grilled and brushed with a honey adobe glaze, served with mashed camote(white Mexican sweet potato), flavored with ginger and sweet spices and julienned vegetables.

Oh, my! One of my favorite places! I was there for my bday this week — our second visit — and confirmed how much we enjoy Chuck’s outstanding BBQ and Cajun selections. Food: have had pulled pork dinner, brisket dinner(between $ 12 and $ 14 each) and meat combo. You’re served pulled meat on a plate with 2 sides, meat doused in the sauce of your choice — mild or hot BBQ, mustard based or N. Carolina. All that hubby and I have tried has been superb! Delicious, warm, diamond-shaped rolls are scrumptious with butter or munched on between bites of meat. I recommend Brunswick Stew as a side choice or ordered separately. Excellent smokey taste! Green bean side is also delicious and spicey. Atmosphere: I’d call it trendy casual and definitely aligned with the southern Cajun theme. Very comfortable and attractive. Service: Excellent and friendly on both of our visits — everyone from hostess to servers to bussers. Chuck’s is planning a tapas night for Fat Tuesday, Feb. 9 — or maybe it’s every Tues. I’m sure it’s terrific! They also have a monthly biegnet day throughout the year.

This is a solid place for the Mexican food. I’m not a huge fan of the BBQ. The drinks are amazing and the portion sizes are huge! I feel fat just thinking about the menu, but if you feel like splurging, this is the place. If you are drinking at the bar, do try the pulled pork nachos. There’s lots of great stuff for kids to eat as well.

A hidden gem in Burbank. I’ve lived close and for the past 2 years always wondered how the food was. It’s good! They have excellent dinner rolls! The soup is good and the salad is delicious! The serving sizes are big so after eating a salad and 2 dinner rolls(don’t judge lol) I was full. I will definitely be going back!!!

Disappointing. Bad, generic food. No idea why this place has 4 stars. Got meatloaf special: worst green beans ever, over salted meatloaf, mashed potatoes were OK. My companion got shrimp platter, corn bread had bad aftertaste. Only nice this I can say that service was nice.

A friend suggested Chuck’s after we had a bit too many beers at 5 Rabbit. Although the company was awesome and we had a lot of good laughs, our meal at Chuck’s was mediocre. I will say that the Seafood Au Gratin appetizer is AMAZING. Hot, cheesy, and everything you could want and expect in an appetizer while just slightly beer buzzing. The pork, the brisket, all OK at best. The sauces didn’t stand out. The macaroni & cheese was decent. It was creamy but needed more flavor. One of my friends said it was like Kraft — it was better than that, but I could taste the similarities. The inside of the restaurant is pretty big, so I’d recommend it for larger parties looking to feast on BBQ. Most BBQ places seem to be pretty small. There isn’t anything that will have me running back to Chuck’s, as Chicago is hardly an oasis of BBQ food, but I can see why this might be a neighborhood staple.

We picked this place on a whim as we were in between switching hotel to an AirBnb location, so we decided to go to Chuck’s for their Chuck’s Cajun Cakes and New Orleans Crawfish Étouffée. Both dishes were delicious and definitely hit the spot. It wasn’t too spicy and the sauce that came with the cajun cakes was really good! There were plenty of crawfish for each bite as well! MMmmmmmm :) I just wish they have something stating that their cookies were a mixture of a lot of different ingredients as I was under the impression that it looked like just chocolate chip cookies.

Oh Chucks, you are so good to me. You serve the BEST homemade soups ever(the one with dumplings is my #1 fave!), the most delicious BBQ pulled pork and a MEAN country fried chicken breakfast! Not to mention, your portions are huge. I have never experienced bad service here, and have never tried anything here that wasn’t absolutely delicious. I look forward to coming here when I’m out in this part of town. You’ve found the secret to great food and I couldn’t be happier. Keep doing what you’re doing… and open up more locations around the city!

It’s time to update my review on Chuck’s. I went for dinner today, and it wasn’t your typical crowd for a Sunday evening. There is parking, but if you park in the side streets, your car will get towed. It’s pretty hard to park in the small parking lot when there is a big crowd. The service was great. The server was nice and friendly to my relatives and me. The food didn’t take that long, which was good, but it was quite surprising. It usually takes a bit longer to get your food during a huge crowd. The food was pretty good! I tried the seafood gumbo. It was an amazing dish. I liked the broth and the mixture of seafood in the gumbo. I definitely recommend the seafood gumbo. Next, I had the beef brisket dinner. The brisket was okay. It wasn’t as tender, but the meat tasted good. My sides of baked beans and Mac and cheese were good. The baked beans had a great flavor to them. The Mac and Cheese was ok. The cheese tasted good, but it didn’t look melted enough. All in all, pretty good food, the service was good, and the location is pretty good too. I’ll be coming back here.

Best Cajun and southern cooking in Chicagoland area hands down. Best options are the pick 3 and chicken fried chicken, but the catch of the day never fails either. By far my go to restaurant.
