Thank goodness this place closed. My husband and I are a young couple, but we are very well dressed and put together people. We came in on a Friday night, and they escorted us to a back table close to an exit with a crappy view. The worst part was, they sat us next to a HUGE family(if you know what I mean) that didn’t buy pants that fit(if you know what I mean). I really don’t want to be on a date with my husband and eat food while looking at a hairy butt crack. Might I add, there were plenty of open booths on the other side of the restaurant that were dimly lit and had other older couples around. Who in their right mind thinks it’s okay to treat a respectful looking young couple any different than an older one? And my husband eats a lot of food! It’s not like we went there for fries and to leave a penny on the table. We left and had vietnamese food instead.

Sometimes I end up at the Elephant Bar and it’s not because I’m desperate to go there for amazing food. Sometimes it’s just convenient(even though there are so many other choices in downtown Burbank) when the rest of the people I’m with are indecisive about what they want. I used to love the Chinese chicken salad, but they’ve changed it and the name. I think it’s now the Asian salad and it’s not as good so the one thing I did look forward to when coming here is now lost in the… well, everything. The look and feel of the restaurant is a bit dated(from the late 90’s when theme restaurants were in) but it is kept up and gives that glamorous safari feel even though the food is not in the least bit African and is listed as American/Asian Fusion. The menu changes enough that the seldom times I’ve come, I have to re-read the whole menu just to settle on the transformed salad I mentioned above. Staff is always helpful and on top of re-filling waters and making sure to check on the group to make sure we are doing okay or need anything. Parking is in the structure beside the restaurant and there’s a lot to do in that area of Burbank so the restaurant is situated in a great place. Prices are pretty standard for the food. A few dollars more than eating at a place like Chili’s oar Applebee’s, two places I eat at less frequently than Elephant Bar.

This place is Awful!.. I ordered the salmon and Not only was it extremely Dry, it was burnt like crazy. All i tasted was charcoal. So gross. I dont think i will be coming here again. Our waitress took 20 mins bringing me out lemon so i can at least squeeze it over my Salmon to see if thatll help. I finally had to get up and get lemons from another waitress. NOTIP! You suck!

Came here for my moms birthday. And it wasn’t packed at all. The last time I came here was a long long long time ago. Today my mom wanted to use her two coupons. One was for the first timers and the other one was 2 for $ 16. lunch special. Which they honored both coupons. First they didn’t then they did. It was so confusing but our waiter was awesome and fixed it. All cause the manager was saying no and then yes and then no and finally. YES. Our waiter was awesome, friendly and polite. He was willing to pay for our appetizer since he told us that we could use both coupon. Since his boss was not around. But all in all he got that fixed. So now onto the food. I got a make your burger which was very good. And made to my order to the«T». My moms chicken Marsala was eeeeh alright. The hubby said his Philly cheese steak was good. The lettuce wrap was really good. The kids mac & Cheese with chicken tender was delish. The chicken tender was tender and delish. Good pick. The mac & cheese was not from a box. Thank goodness. Food and service was great!!! I’d come back.

Dinner AND a show?! Haha, okay not literally, but our server Kelly was quite the entertainer! I don’t think I’ve had as many laughs as any other Elephant Bar experiences! Kelly not only did his job exceptionally well, but he was over the top joyful, enthusiastic, and hilarious! He was attentive, knew everything about the menu, and was always ready to lay the lowdown! This guy has some special talent and skills! So here’s what I had: WOK-FIREDCHICKENLETTUCEWRAPS — $ 8.95 Chopped chicken, water chestnuts, toasted coconut flakes and roasted cashews with fresh Vera Cruz salsa, marinated cucumbers and crispy chilled lettuce leaves. Served with their tamarind macadamia nut sauce. There’s something different about this dish than what I remember having years ago. However, it was still amazing in taste! It tasted healthy! The lettuce COULD have been more fresh an there COULD have been more of that Vera Cruz salsa, but everything about this came together wonderfully. Here we have the flavorful savory chicken, chipped into tiny pieces, mixed with the sweet fruity salsa and the sweet tasteful sauce! Now throw all that onto a chilled crispy piece of lettuce and you have a party in your mouth! This is something I order every time I go here for over a decade now :) KOREANCHICKENANDKONABBQRIBS — $ 18.25 Boneless chicken breast marinated in our Korean BBQ sauce, joined with their signature wood-grilled Kona BBQ ribs. Served with my choice of brown rice. They were SO nice to split this meal in two when Kelly knew I was sharing this dish with my boyfriend! So nice! The ribs were sweet and savory and most importantly: tender. I didn’t care for the chicken much; I’m not fan of white chicken meat because it tastes so dry. The juices from both meat though made my brown rice pretty tasty since I think brown rice is just yucky. I was just trying to be healthy when I ordered it: P. As for the grilled veggies it came with, I didn’t care for it since it was covered in the sweet and spicy sauce that came with it. Whatever that was, I didn’t like it. I usually enjoy sauces that are sweet and spicy like the ones at Thai restaurants, but this was just weird. It had this weird sweetness and just that bad kick of spice. It’s ok I used the tamarind sauce from my lettuce wrap instead: P Overall I’d give my food a 3-star rating. But because I love Kelly and his service so much, I am giving my overall experience here a 4! I really appreciate you Kelly! :)
