This sushi spot is good. I have been going here for about 2 years, but recently it changed owners so I was a bit hesitant to go. However, i went, tried and did not regret. The fish was very fresh, the rolls tasted good. One of the rolls, superman burrito, was something we used to order with the previous owners and we loved it. They still have that roll and it is still good, but pretty different from how it was made before. Everything tastes good just a bit different, since there is a new chef. … I will be going back.

I won’t be spending my money here anymore, the customer service is not acceptable. They will help people they know who arrived after you and make you wait. A simple transaction becomes a pain staking process. There are plenty of local sushi bars that have better food and better service.

Eating at Sushi Dake was perhaps my worst sushi experience ever. I’ve been eating more sushi this past year or so, infrequently trying new spots. This one was a huge mistake. The server asked us to grab our own waters off of the tray(I hate to come across as picky, it wasn’t a big deal, it was just weird as I’ve never had to do it myself), but more importantly, the fish was of poor quality. I don’t think anyone wants to be sketched out when eating raw fish. Our orders were not complicated at all, since we stick to sushi, with the occasional hand roll. However, some of the sushi was warm, or overall didn’t taste very good. We even had some sushi left that we didn’t eat(Albacore and Toro… sadly). Sometimes we drive by this establishment and reminisce on that one time we regrettably decided to try a new spot. It definitely opened my eyes on being more selective when it comes to where I go for sushi.

I’m not sure if this place is under new ownership or if it’s just gone completely down hill. I’ve been going for years but haven’t gone in about a year and it was horrible. I will not return !

Came in for a little salmon sashimi and oysters, so there was nothing to hide behind: fish was delightfully fresh and buttery, great presentation and nice ambiance. Nice to know this is nearby! I’m intrigued by the rice free rolls: will have to try when feeling bolder sometime soon.

I love this place because it’s convenient to home, I don’t have to drive to downtown Burbank to my other favorite Japanese restaurant. Ample parking. The place is only small so it gets packed fast. The staff is Korean — and there’s nothing wrong with that. They are friendly, fast, and serves fresh sushi. One less star for the price. I think $ 12 per roll is a little high — but this is just me. Price is relative.

Great local family-owned sushi restaruant. Jackie was very welcoming. Menu is pretty straight forward, inexpensive and not overly complicated. Poki and Dragon were terriifc.

Spontaneously stopped by this little hole in a wall with a few friends and let me just say, no regrets! We decided to sit at the bar because we didn’t want to wait for a table. It’s a pretty small spot and we didn’t mind sitting at the bar. We were greeted by Kim and later, he told us he was new. He was so great! Such a genuine chef who really cares about his customers and what he puts out. To be honest, we were hesitant because of the past reviews but we’re sure the new addition to the team will soon change this! Thank you Kim for taking such great care of us(:

Pretty cute mom and pop joint with very decent sushi. If you’re looking for a quick sushi fix that won’t rape your wallet, this is the place. Owners are super friendly and always greet you with a smile. They make it a point to remember your name when you come back too. Now that’s service! For some reason, I really love their spicy tuna rolls. That’s always a starter for me. Definitely get the albacore roll as their special sauce on top is what makes it all amazing. I could eat 2 of those, but I always leave space for their Love Roll as well, which is another attraction on their menu. Surprisingly enough, this place is great for small groups too. By small, I really mean like 6 – 8 people max. Feels like a family get together… only you also feel part of everything. Friendly and pleasant all around!

We started coming here because it’s walking distance from our house. We come back because the sushi is delicious and the service is impeccable. The chef and waitress know us by name and it’s a little like walking into ‘Cheers!’ My son’s favorite is the Snow White roll — spicy tuna, cucumber & avocado inside, snapper on the outside. It’s then baked with a delicious garlic sauce. My favorite is the garlic albacore roll — spicy tuna, cucumber inside, albacore outside with garlic flakes sprinkled on top. Overall, it’s a great, small sushi restaurant. Two thumbs up!

Meh — not good quality sushi at all and for the price you can get higher grade, I promise you. A huge indicator is that their sushi falls appart, or it loses it’s shape super quick: meaning they are using a dull knife to cut that stuff. And the sashimi has alot of white lines running and it’s not the right color. I usuallly LOVE amaebi and uni but i took a bit and couldn’t continue. It’s ok, for what it is and to take it for what it is, don’t come in here expecting TRUE Japanese food(I think it’s korean owned, which is like MOST places these days, if you want authentic then msg me).

This is a great neighborhood sushi joint. Michael, the owner, is such a wonderful and caring person. He really wants you to enjoy your meal. The sushi is fresh and delicious. I’ve been going here for years and it’s really just a low key place that service great sushi and at a fair price. Wonderful customer service. Thanks guys!

This place is walkable from my house. I come here when I have a super crave for sushi. The employees are super nice. The place is avg. The food is pretty good but a little more pricy. I don’t mind it if its good quick fix for me. I’ve tried a good number of their rolls. I usually go off the list of what I have not tried. There’s plenty of parking since its a plaza. Its understandable of the interior decoration given what’s surrounding it and its a residential area next to a high school. Got to make sure you can grab some kids attention instead of having them head to mcds. You know what I mean. Thanks for the grub as always :3

This place is definitely worth 4 stars. My friend wanted to eat at Kabuki but I chose here because I wanted to try something different and with the help of Unilocal!I found this gem in the rough. We ordered halibut, tuna, salmon, and white fish sushi. Veggie/Shrimp assorted tempura. Popcorn Lobster roll. Laker roll, cali roll, and tuna roll. Everything was melt in your mouth– can’t get enough– out of this world– fresh sushi! I am glad I chose this place. The only thing I didn’t like was the price. It was way too expensive for my taste. I felt like I was at Kabuki but without the Kabuki interior. The place was definitely outdated. It has a bunch of pictures on the wall but overall friendly staff and service was great.

One of my go-to spots for lunch whenever I am craving sushi, or just something«light.» Small space, I’d say maybe 10 tables or so, with 1 table outside. 3 sushi chefs, and 2 older japanese ladies that are the servers. They are all SO cute and SO nice. The lunch box is always a great option for lunch — comes with options like chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, etc — miso soup, salad, and sushi options. The sushi options are limited but delicious nonetheless. You either get 3 chef’s choice, california roll, or spicy tuna. Great size, definitely going back to the office with food coma. I’ve also ordered JUST sashimi and hand rolls here as well, which are amazing. My favorites are the 50⁄50 hand roll, and I think there is one called the blue crab? Its on the«specials» menu. Also one of my faves is toro, and ono. When I go the full sushi route I usually spend about $ 30 for my portion… the lunch box is $ 11.95! Lots of parking(same lot as CVS) and never a long wait.

This was only my second time at Sushi Dake but my friend and his fam love this place, and it’s easy to see why! The fish is fresh, the rolls are quite sizable and tasty and service is swift at this sushi joint — the server came around four to five times refilling my water. It’s becoming one of my faves in Burbank, that’s for sure! I’ve had the Diana, Y2K, Popcorn Lobster, Dragon, Snow White and Crispy Rice with Spicy Albacore rolls — it’s hard to pick a favorite because they are all soooooo good. I feel like you really can’t go wrong here. The prices are slightly steeper than others in the area, but it’s definitely worth it. Service is usually a hit or miss(often the latter) but this place is on it. The sushi chefs are super nice and very accommodating and the server was great in attending to things swiftly. I ate my weight in sushi tonight, but I’m already anticipating my next time back!
