Right next to rubex and Starbucks. First off the place is clean, staff is great. Food is decently priced, $ 10 – 15 a person. Also has vegan options Make sure you try the red curry! Only downside is they skimp on the servings when it gets busy.

I always forget to review this place. I come here often and love the Asian style chipotle bowls. Highly recommend putting ALL the toppings(mango, zucchini, sprouts, etc) However, I’m not sure why the lady working here rushes everything. I was the only one here and she was rushing me out as if she had a long line to serve. I did not like that and I decided to make it a take out because of her unwelcoming behavior.

Fresh and tasty. The meats were seasoned really well, I was pleasantly surprised(I had the buns with 3 different types) and the side salad with fresh mango and cucumber was delicious. I will be back.

I ordered a bowl with brown rice, peanut sauce, five-spiced braised beef, grilled vegetables and crushed peanuts. I was delighted to discover how all of these flavors went together perfectly. And the meat was perfectly tender and juicy. Can’t go wrong with this place… It’s delicious, healthy and inexpensive. Try it.

Wished I loved this place more, but being raised in the 626, the flavors this place offers just wasn’t doing it for me. I love the idea of being to create your own bowl though! Like every other review has stated, it is an Asian style Chipotle. When I went, I ordered brown rice with chicken, veggies and a side of fish sauce. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great. Maybe I’ll give it one more try in a few months!

There’s a tiny asian woman that lives inside of me and she gets ferocious when it’s feeding time. But by the time I am hungry enough to eat my offspring, it’s too late and I end up eating Taco Bell and then feel terrible about life afterwards. And this is why Tap is great. It’s quick, well priced, healthy and tasty — everything I want when I’m ravenous, but can never find. Their peanut sauce isn’t as tasty as you would hope, but I really like their fish sauce and all the various ingredient options to make a great bowl or bun combo.

Really good and clean eating. I got the salad bowl with the curry dressing and it was delicious. The dressing tasted tangy and spicy, definitely recommend it

Unilocalers, I’ve been to this place three times in a little over a week. This amazing treasure is nested between the Zanku chicken and Starbucks drive thru. The service: every time I’ve gone, a gentleman with a really calming nature is there. He is so patient with orders and always overly fills my bowl of yummy ness. The food: so far I’ve tried their rice bowls and their rice noodle bowls. I love the curry options too. There’s a wide variety of options and fresh cut veggies to add on to your bowl. My perfect bowl is the following: Rice noodles Half peanut half red curry Chicken Mango slaw Mint and cilantro Corn Stay glaze and peanuts to top. Absolute perfection, great job taps– can’t wait to visit you guys more!

I really love this place. I was searching for a post-workout meal that wasn’t In-N-Out(ha!), so I came across this via Unilocal.I read through the menu and the ingredients seemed pretty healthy and tasty. I’ve tried different things every time and I finally discovered my favorite bowl. Rice noodles, hot red curry sauce, steak satay, mango slaw, curried spice corn, pickled cucumbers and red onion, fresh bean sprouts, herb salad, lettuce, and MORE mango slaw! Sometimes I think they don’t put enough sauce, BUT the hot red curry sauce is pretty spicy so I always get the right amount. Comparing this place to ShopHouse, I think that there should be more TAPS around.

And the award goes to TAPS for the Best Place to Go For Lunch Break! Think of the Asian version of Chipotle. Price is only $ 8.98. Food is organic with a wide range of mix and match options: rice or salad bowl; from tangy, spicy to creamy sauces/vinaigrette; chicken, beef, or tofu; and countless veggies! My favorite is the salad bowl with rice noodles(the best part is they give you half-and-half), half peanut sauce and half red curry sauce, braised beef, and ALL the veggies except jalapeños(I have a spice threshold). YUMM! It was hearty and flavorful. So much so I was able to have leftovers the next day!

I didn’t really expect a lot from this place, but let me tell you how good the peanut sauce and hot red curry mixed together. Every thing in the rice bowl I got, just went together. It wasn’t overwhelming, it was just right! It was a great late lunch! Whenever I’m in the area, I’ll definitely be coming back. The tap worker who was wearing gray and that super perfect combover, you’re such a cutie.

I’m so happy to have stopped here for a rice noodle bowl. Quick, healthy food with an Asian flare(fish sauce, tamarind sauce, in addition to tereyaki). This is served in a paper bowl, and water is available in a biodegradable plastic cup! I’m impressed by the delicious food, friendly service and the conscientious use of recyclables. I think I just discovered my new favorite fast food spot! Keep up the hard work, TAP!

NEVER. AGAIN. I came here with my GF tonight(YAY for Bachelorette Mondays!) bc Asian Box was closed. Why do I even think any place can compare to Asian Box? First mistake right there. Anyway, right away, I was unimpressed. The food looked like it had been sitting there for awhile and the add-ons were not as cool as Asian Box, from the way that the cucumbers were cut, to the lack of crispy onions. Everything looked blah. But we were desperate and had 20 mins before The Bach started. So we both ordered tofu bowls, hers with noodles, mine with Jasmine rice. The girl who helped us was super friendly but she barely put any toppings on our bowls — it was mostly carbs. Um hello… summer is coming. Not necessary. Anyway, then she realized they were out of tofu so we saw her go to the back and grab a box of Nasoya tofu(seriously? that’s sitting in my fridge at home!) and give it to the chef. The chef chopped it into large chunks and she then dipped it into a mysterious«bean sauce» and put it on our bowls. It looked totally raw but she promised it had been cooked. When we got home and ate, it was TOTALLY raw. So gross. Even as a vegetarian, I couldn’t eat it. The sauces are given names similar to the ones at Asian Box which got me really excited but it turns out it was really misleading. I tried a few and ended up going with the tamarind vinaigrette which was so diluted that my bowl ended up having no taste at all, even with the extra sauce. FYI, the red curry sauce is SUPER spicy and the peanut sauce is really diluted. Oh, and the bowls are all a little less than $ 10 which is far too much considering they barely give you any nutrition, and all carbs. Also, strangely, her visor said The Asian Project on it, as did our receipt… Did the resto change names and are they too cheap to upgrade their baseball caps?! UGH. I’m so annoyed. And hangry.

If you have been to Chipotle, than TAP Buns and Bowls is very similar, except Asian. It is a relatively small shop, but you get in and out quickly here. Menu is pretty self explanitory, you choose a bowl or bun order, sauce, meat, veggies, pay. I went with a bowl of rice noodles, fish sauce vinaigrette, teriyaki meatballs(4 large pieces), some daikon, jalapeño to add some spice, grilled veggies(zucchini, red peppers, onions), cucumber salad, mango slaw and some more fish sauce vinaigrette. It tasted delicious and almost as good as the Bún thit nuong you grab at traditional Vietnamese restaurants.

I really enjoyed my buns and bowls here. It was so easy to make my own bowl and I love the unlimited topping choices. Mangos, and Radish and Veg OHMY! Those are a few of my favorite things!!! but they have so much more and the sauces I have to say the red spicy creamy red curry is my favorite it taste great on noodles with chicken I could drink that sauce if they’d let me and for the steamed buns you have to go braised beef all the way with the other meats the buns feel a bit dry. Still confused on what to order Mix your meat, mix your sauces get em all It’s YOUR bowl MADEYOURWAY and ieverything is so fresh all made in house. I’m so Glad this place is here in Burbank. I now have food options near home.

5 stars! Glad we have an option for«Asian» food in Burbank! If you’re looking for some good, quick, fresh, natural eats — them go on in! I didn’t know what to think about this place. I had driven around it numerous times and finally went in after reading some reviews. They have salads, bowls, and steamed buns on the menu. It’s a create your own meal place — similar to Subway where you choose the ingredients. A starch, protein, followed by sauce, and finally toppings(fresh mango slaw, peanuts, crispy noodle, etc.) I was a bit skeptical at first as the place itself felt very«chain-food-esque» — but I was wrong! I ordered the Rice Noodle bowl with ½ Chicken and ½ Shredded Braised Beef. Also added 2 sauces: Hot Red Curry and peanut sauce. Then Mango slaw, grilled veggies, pickled radish, a little«Asian» pico de gallo, and finally topped it with peanuts. ITWASDELICIOUS! I was really impressed when I saw could the workers preparing food from scratch and grilling chicken — it had perfect grill marks! Service was very good too. The young guy behind the counter was very friendly and very accommodate to my questions. He even suggested additional ingredients to compliment the selections I chose! Well done #TAP! #TheAsianProject

Solid 3.5 but not in a bad way. Just wasn’t blown away. Yes, it really is like the Chipotle of noodle and rice bowls. Choose your carb(jasmine rice, brown rice, lettuce, or rice noodles), your protein, veggies/toppings, and sauce. I sampled the peanut curry sauce which as others mention is quite tasty, but I opted for the tamarind sauce as it was lighter. Overall, my bowl was tasty… nothing super duper over the top tasty, but good and filling. The lighting inside was pretty dim. Not sure why… it’s not an intimate type of setting! Clean, friendly service as well.

LOVETHISPLACE! Came here with the fiancé before a trip to Ikea. We both loved all the choices we got on our bowls — kind of like a subway or chipotle. You can pick from noodle/rice or a salad base then add veggies to your liking on top. The peanut butter sauce was delicious and went nicely with all the crunchy vegetables. I used both the peanut butter sauce as well as the teriyaki sauce to give my bowl more flavor. Fiancé was able to add a lot of jalapeño to give his bowl a kick. All in all, we loved our fresh servings of veggies and will be back for more. Great find! Thanks Unilocal! Located in a large shopping mall — lots of parking!

Creating unlimited possibilities and uniqueness. The Asian Project TAP Buns and Bowls sells mainly healthy rice bowls relying on the complex flavors of South East Asia. STATS: Sunday — Saturday 11AM — 9PM Shared parking lot EXPERIENCE: Driving around the ‘Bank in search of a new place to lay my head, I stumbled across TAP Buns & Bowls, a place I’ve seen many fellow Unilocalers check in and still a bit green, thought going where everyone goes was the norm. Silly me. This food didn’t tap my happy place designated for grub. The interior is clean and well lit by natural sunlight and the staff are friendly and helpful high schoolers, As a virgin to this eatery, I thought it was best to collaborate with an employee on the creation of my bowl. Ordering grub here is similar to placing orders at Chipotle, it’s a four-step process. Anyway, the end result of the step-by-step process was chicken satay with peanut sauce, grill veggies, Asian Pico de Gallo, lightly pickled cucumbers and red onions, fresh mango slaw. My bowl was plentiful and I had to take almost half to go, which was a good lunch the next day.
