The UPS Store

The gentlman was curtious and the line moved fairly fast however as a UPS store that is a franchise when you choose to not carry the ups boxes provided for those who have accounts it defeats the purpose of being a UPS store or having UPS in your name. Not to mention those who have accounts and ship often tend to spend money on lots of other services and if there is a reason to get customers into your location your profits will surely go up. Just a thought!

I came to this store for notary service after I tried to go to many other store but this store so professional and they knew what they are doing. they guy who helped name Nercice I guess. Thank you

We have had a permanent mailbox here for about 7 years. We live and travel full time for work in an RV. There are a lot of options out there for RVers, and some may be even a bit lower in cost. But we are so pleased with the service we get from this store that we don’t really shop around. We like being treated like family and know we can trust this store to care about our personal mail. Nothing has ever been lost. The staff always takes time for us whenever we call, which is remarkable because they can get really busy. We pay only for one of the smaller boxes, however they will handle without complaint, all of our boxes of any size, and there are many. Funny, but I have never in my life seen anyone pack more mail into a mailbox than here. When you pull it out of the box it expands immediately to about 10X the size lol! And they’ve never told me I had to get a bigger box. On occasion they have even been stuck for quite awhile with a box that I couldn’t get back to pick up and they didn’t charge me any additional fees. Several times Gus has transferred packages to a large mailbox when we couldn’t make it on time so that we could pick the stuff up after hours. And a couple of times when they were closed and one of the staff was there a bit late, lights were out and the security gate was locked — they still handed me my mail with the best of attitudes. They try hard to work out the best price for me for mail forwarding, by taking a few minutes to cull my unwanted junk mail. And most importantly, when I have been really stressed about a critical piece of mail like a paycheck or a document, the owner Gus will personally keep his eyes open for it, find it and give it special handling for. Kind of like your Mom would lol. I like the no-​drama service. I honestly don’t know what more these guys could do for us.

The owner «Gus» is a dishonest person! I will never be shipping my packages here again. I am a member of Ponte Winery and have a shipment delivered every other month. These packages are perfect for gifts or events that I attend on the weekends. The package was delivered on 7÷6÷15, i got a call and an email. Unfortunately I’ve been home sick and have not been able to swing by to pick up the package. Therefore, I then went four days later, on 7÷10÷16 to pick up the package. When I arrived, I might say, there was a hispanic lady in front of me that the owner was helping, while she was being help, the other employee «Joseph» was laughing at her along with another customer, not sure if it was because of her accent? speaking spanish? Not sure, but I was offended as I am hispanic. Well thats another story… when it was my turn, Joseph looked up the package and stated there was no package for me there. I then asked the owner «gus» as why it was not there yet, he said they only hold packages for 7 days. I then told Gus that I got an email that I received a notification stating it was delivered on 7÷6÷15, he then said that package was already sent back. I asked him why it was sent back and he stated that they only hold it for 4 days and that he had called me. I was then confused as of why he then changed it from 7 to 4 days, something was not adding up. So I asked him for clarification, and then he started to raise his voice and said that it is the policy of ponte winery and that UPS can only hold it for 4 days and then they must return it, then he added some mumble jumble about the DEA (btw while he was raising his voice more) that they were not allowed to have alcohol there for too long due to federal regulations, blah blah blah. This guy thought I was stupid or what?!! so I called the winery and asked for their policy, they said that Gus’s statement of the 4 days was incorrect. Therefore, I explained to them that I no longer want them sending packages to that store. This is ridiculous, this guy is really something. I will be sharing my experience with my coworkers in the city, council members, friends and family!!!

Opens on time. Always clean. Great service. And air conditioned! It’s 33% humid outside.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. I had luggage that I wanted to ship, so I called them, told them the dimensions and asked for an estimated price over the phone and they said it’ll be $ 26. I took my luggage all the way there and it was only after packing my luggage that they said I have to pay $ 80!

I love this store. First time I visited the place, the guy (Gus) have already asked me immediately as I entered the door. I told him what I wanted — notary, copy and delivery services and he just assisted me like a pro. He was sooo fast and all of those services just took me less than I think 5 mins and Im out though I have to say its like 4:30ish pm. He was also friendly which also made me comfortable with every transaction. Keep it up!

I understand that employees do not set prices. But when a customer asks «What’s the cheapest option?» The answer should include something more than Elias’ answer of «It depends.» Even after further questions, he couldn’t give me a ballpark, so when Elias said that my envelope that weighed less than half a pound would cost $ 13 and wouldn’t get there for 7 – 10 days, he was surprised by my shock at the price. At least with the post office, all the prices are obvious and, even though they may not smile or greet you, at least they will answer a question and attempt to help. Thanks Elias, I’ll now be helping the USPS stay open.

Love this ups. Unlike other locations they don’t charge for tape. Love the service very friendly

I found this place to be convenient, and the staff members were totally friendly and helpful. I’m kind of surprised by some of the negative comments… maybe people who used to work here were rude? Anyway, not the case in my experience. I think it’s a little un-​cool to knock an independent UPS Store franchise for the prices UPS charges — they can’t control that. Anyway — it’s a decent shop with decent staff. I’ll go back.

Awesome staff, very helpful and professional. They do some things for me that I should do myself at home but I’m too lazy for… and that says something coming from the cheapskate that I am.

Easy drop off on a pre-​paid package to Nike. Was in and out of there in less than 20 seconds tops. Again, I was just dropping off a box that was already paid for on a return shipment. Good to know there’s a UPS store nearby with easy parking in a spacious lot. I guess I was lucky cause I went here around 10am. Probably a slow time for them. But nevertheless, the guy behind the counter was friendly. I walked in, he greeted me and asked that I just set down the box on the scale and that I was good to go. I asked if there was some sort of receipt confirmation and he just said track it with the number that was emailed to me as part of the return label. I did that and the box got to Memphis in 3 business days. Thanks UPS store.

Not that the service was bad here. In fact they’ve always been helpful, for me anyways. It’s the fact that UPS is so damn expensive. $ 14 to send a small 4“x5″
package. A fraction of what USPS costs and even FEDEX is cheaper. UPS, never again…

Not to pleased with this store, they were not helpful with my mailing so I had to conatct the customer and find a different way to ship

I have been a customer here for a few years — I have an annual mailbox — it isn’t cheap.
I’ve used many of the store services without trouble but have had some issues with the mail service. I’ve had incorrect mail in my box and important letters of mine have been delivered to others. I expect more attention to detail as this is exactly why I pay for a mail service.
Most recently, I ordered a package and got the arrival notice over email. I went to the store and found out the package was indeed delivered to the store but the store LOST the package (it was delivered less than 24 hours earlier). Sadly, I was dealing with the manager/​owner, Gus, who is a hyper aggressive guy. I got NO APOLOGY!!!
He announced that they can’t find the package. No info, just that. So I asked what the next step was. He said if they can’t find the package, he’ll pay for it. OK, that’s fair. I said, how long. A WEEK! A WEEK?
I noted the package was a gift, I wanted to know if he’d cover the shipping if I had to order a replacement in the next couple days and he refused. He actually told me that if the package showed up, he’d expect ME to pay him back if he covers the RUSH. I lost my temper at that. HIS SHOP LOST MY PACKAGE and I didn’t ask him to pay for the contents of a replacement right away (I don’t mind getting extras of what I ordered if the package turns up), just the shipping. The most he’d be out is the cost of the original stuff and rush shipping. He pushed back, WOW! I told him that I paid for a service I was not getting and this was unbelievable.
Then it got WEIRD. He took $ 100 bucks out of the register and started waving it at me telling me to take it and do whatever — now he’s trying to shut me up and get me to go away, I guess. I’m not a thief, I just want the fair compensation and $ 100 is far more than the package and shipping so I refused. By now, he’s angry and aggressive. ANGRY AT ME? This guy lost MY package and he’s angry at ME??? HE LOST MY PACKAGE AND HE’S SHOUTING AT ME!
Don’t know if they’ll ever find the package, or if I’ll get compensated for the lost one (If they don’t I will ‘small claims’ them). I’m weighing if it’s worth changing all my addresses to go somewhere else (I’ve been there for years). I think it might be… I’ll post an update with the results and if he makes good on the loss. I asked for something in writing and never got it… Big Shock.
In Summary: AVOID. The manager is a hyper aggressive guy and the work is sloppy. Misdirected mail, LOST PACKAGE! Not what I’m paying for.

I stopped by in the evening to drop off a prepaid package and the UPS store guy was super friendly, helped me tape up my box, and answered shipping questions that I had. Never thought I would be reviewing a UPS store, but I left the store in a good mood and thought I should write about it!

Not at all surprised at the other horrible reviews. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. I hate leaving a negative review like this but the guy behind the counter was rude. The vibes were so bad that I almost called it out (i.e., by laughing and just saying, «Dude what is the problem here? Do we have a problem?») but I was too busy and simply had to keep my day moving along. I have no way of proving it but I feel certain that he intentionally broke the item that he packed for me. My ebay buyer used the word «hell» to describe the packing job. I would never trust this store again with any packing or shipping.

This UPS Store isn’t closest to my home, but it is more than worth the extra few miles for the friendly & helpful service, ample parking and positive experience. When I walk in the store I feel like I am visiting friends — who just happen to meet my shipping needs with «above the call of duty» service.
