Not a bad place to buy a 6 pack since the prices are so high every 6 pack is higher than 10 dollars, and since minimum credit card transaction is 10 dollars or else they charge you 95 cents per transaction. I picked some snacks and the bag of peanuts & some candy had already expired. notice other people here are also complaining about expired items. I will never ever come back here again.

Perfect spot right at the edge of Toluca Lake WITH a pretty spacious parking lot, especially for a corner convenience store. I dont have much to report on anything that stands out other than they have a pretty decent wine selection — like 4 – 5 mini rows of them… ranging from 1 year old to 15 year old wines. I would say that’s their ace in the hole. Good owners, friendly people. Decent little spot overall.

I’ve been going here forever. They have everything you could ever need to run in and grab. You also don’t have to worry about trying to find parking for 30 minutes like you do at 7 – 11. The guys that run the place are hilarious. They really need to film a reality show in here. I always leave laughing.

5-stars for the guy who usually minds the store here at Toluca Mart. What a cool character! He wishes you a «Merry Christmas» all year round. You feel like you’ve just entered a conversation that started an hour ago and you’re not quite sure what the subject is. One time I had a meaningful discussion with him for around 10 minutes on the topic of shower heads. I’m not kidding! Aside from that I’m always made to feel welcome in the store, in a low key, but unmistakable way. I’ve hardly ever bought liquor here — usually it’s just a few lottery tickets and a bottle of water. It’s a nice, larger-than-normal liquor and convenience store which adds character and personality to the already-very-fantastic Toluca Lake strip on Riverside Drive.

Really wanted candy and the two things I wanted were expired. Not just one pack but everything on the shelf and in the box. One was 1 month past expired which I got which wasn’t worth it. Crunchy m&ms. The other candy bar that I didn’t get was 10 months expired(good until jan 13, it’s oct 13). I am only giving stars because the cashier is hilarious and I felt like I paid him for the jokes. Go in and listen to his witty responses ha.

Definitely NOT racists, and most likely have never been convicted of having sex with farm animals, or any other thing for that matter. They have free straw giveaways on the first Monday of every month, definitely worth the trip just for that.

We’re new to the area, and because this place is so much closer than the local BevMo we decided to check it out. Our goal for the day was to secure some cans of Colt 45(not the classiest beverage, but that was kind of the point). When we didn’t see any we decided to ask the man at the register if they had any in the back, or could get some. He proceeded to say, «No. This isn’t the ghetto. Blacks don’t shop here.» We immediately left and will NEVER return to this establishment. The extra 10 minutes in the car is worth avoiding the racism here.

If nothing else, go to this place at least once for the comedy show! The main cashier(I wish I knew his name) needs to be on stage and not behind that counter, but he will definitely brighten your day! There’s a very wide variety of liquors and wines so you won’t be disappointed there but it is a bit pricey, like $ 6.50 for a pack of regular cigarettes pricey! Other than that I’d say it’s a pretty cool place. I’d give it 5 stars if the prices were just a bit lower but in general, I’m a fan for sure and go there pretty often :)

This is where I throw my money away for the lottery and occasionally buy cold drinks. The staff is usually completely cold and disinterested in their clientele. They do have a interesting collection of rare and foreign candy. I saw Jerry Ferrara(Turtle) from Entourage there once…

In the words of my Starburst connoisseur friend, «OMG! They have one of the best varieties of Starbursts I have ever seen!» I am sure their liquor selection is fine too. All I know it that this is a GREAT spot for those who work at Disney on Alameda or Warner Bros and need a near-by grocery need — they have everything from Baking Soda to magazines to tons of soda to condoms. Though I hope no one is getting the later WHILE at any of the aforementioned offices… ugh. Anyway, Toluca Mart is within walking distance of anything in Toluca Lake and all of WB — lots of parking and even boasts a kind staff(the guy behind the counter said that he is going to special order green Starbursts! yeah!).

The fact that this place stays alive is impressive. What with Trader Joe’s just a few blocks down and then Vendome just a little ways past that, that’s some stiff competition. But I guess this place has been around long enough to earn some Toluca Lake cred… hehe, who knew TL had cred. Anyhoo, they have a wide variety of booze here and if you are already going to Papoo’s, Robek’s or Bob’s Big Boy and need your alcoholic fix, then here ya go. Other than that, I say go to Vendome. I love those guys and they know a lot more about booze and have awesome suggestions. This place is more of a come in, grab a six-pack and be on your way. Which I suppose has its advantages too.

Interesting in that I would bumping into this liquor store. Much bigger than your average convenient store on Riverside Dr at Toluca Lake area. This store stock plenty of wines to choose from. It might not carry any Two Bucks-Chucks of the types, but it seemed to be very well stock on many type of alcoholic beverages. Beers, wines, and spirits dominated the selections over the usual toiletries that a normal shopmart might stock. It looked like a normal run of the mill liquor store… until I saw something interesting. A guy with the nervous twitch walked into the store and grabbed one of the wine bottle from their many wooden casket boxes in the shelves that was displayed. I was a little afraid I thought the lunatic was going to robbed the place. He popped the dollar bills on the counter and walked straight out without so much of greeting or waiting for his change. What gives? The guy behind the counter casually said«he worked for NBC». Knowing my luck, he’s probably was one of the writer of «Studio 60 on Sunset Strip».
