Great food, great tap list. Totally under the radar and really good! Love the chili Verde!

I’m a few months overdue on this review. We came across this awesome little spot after I picked up my partner from the airport on Friday afternoon(worst time ever to drive in Seattle). After spending an hour in traffic I did not want to get back into it and so we looked for a fun place to grab a libation and some light munchies. Once again, Unilocal did not let me down! This family owned and ran adorable shop has delicious treats(try the bacon wrapped dates) and more beer options than you’ll know what to do with. They have multiple fridges with specialty beers(love the blueberry!), and plenty of options on tap. Not a beer fanatic? They offer wine too! The owners are sweet and do home brewing, take a moment to chat about your hobby or interests! The staff is wonderful, and even when they are busy they will find time to get your order and ask if you need anything. Another great feature — they are dog friendly!!! Being your pooch and hang out inside or outside on the patio. Next time you need to do an afternoon airport visit to pick up/drop off your friends or loved one, stop here to wait out the traffic!

For the person who really, really likes beer this the place. I have tasted beer here that I never knew existed. The ambiance is minimalist yet comfortable, and not too loud. The newly opened kitchen is serving up some delicious offerings. The staff is attentive as well. I would recommend this place as a transition from the day at the office to the rest of the day, or as a spot to watch sports with some grub.

Went in the other night for the first time and brought a mom’s group with me. We all loved how open it was, not cramped for space as a lot of pubs/bars tend to be. Service was good, food was good. Love that they have a decent wine selection also, since I am not the biggest beer drinker. Did bring some beer home for my husband, meant to bring my growler in to get a fill but forgot it at home so I just chose a few different cans of beers we have never tried before. Great little addition to Burien!

Heard from a co-worker that the Pit Stop would be a good place to have some good food and a beer. I walked in to find a clean modern setting with an astonishing selection of bottles and an interesting selection of drafts. Talking to the ladies behind the bar(thanks Tess, Joey, and Angela), I told them what I like, and they made spot on recommends! Had the special; BBQ ribs, with an amazing succotash(yes, succotash) and a twice baked potato. The ribs were dry rubbed and smoked, with an intriguing blend of sweet and chili. Nice bite but not tongue numbing. The potatoe was well blended, more smashed than mashed. And did I mention the succotash was amazing? A good evening with a mostly local crowd, made this Californian feel welcome! Thanks!

Dog and people friendly. Service with a smile. Excellent beer and cider selection. Not your everyday/everywhere choices. And now… delicious food! They’ve only sampled 1⁄3 of the menu but it’s among the best in the area. Deftly paired with the rotating taps. Can’t wait to sample the rest.

So wondered in one last evening and with its sparse environment and short staff, I felt less than welcome. Waiting a good 5 minutes before I was even acknowledged and another 10 to order a beer. I was one among maybe 15 people. Hmmmm. Didn’t feel welcomed by the staff(all two of them) short, curt answers and I’m just speculating here, but because I was alone and not part of the«crowd» that had gathered I wasn’t worth the beer I came to drink. May give it another try– but only with a partner as coming alone was uncomfortable for both of us.(myself and the little lady that grudgingly took my order and answered my questions)

Take advantage of the half-price growler fills on Thirsty Thursdays! We love the rotating taps, always something new to try. Great place to watch the game, meet your neighbors and have a date. The owners John and Joey care about their costumers and are always improving this 1 year old haven. Clean and welcoming, every time.

I’m only giving this place one star, but if I could I would give it zero! The owner there is really horrible! She has no open mind about anything. Tried to go back to support their doggy bingo. Even paid 5 bucks each for 2 bingo cards.(10 bucks total). We were then kicked out literally after we bought them. I will never go back there again for any kind of support! I tried but apparently grudges are better than profit!

I have only been here twice. And I really like the Pit Stop. They have a very good selection of local beers on tap and bottles. The staff knows their stuff and I am waiting for the kitchen to open. With the warm weather the deck is perfect. Everyone needs to try the Pit Stop and enjoy this store.

This place is very barebones, no thrills place. And in some cases this works in the places favor. With it bare concrete floors, racks of coolers full of ales(which most can be found at a grocery store) but any ale you buy you can drink in the store or take home. You can also order any food for delivery from many of the nearby places and some even have discount incentives for ordering. I drive past this place all the time. And never stopped. With my go to drinking spot down(the old Mick Kelly’s) I might come here more often. Two things that could improve this place. Get more hard to get ales. Over in West Seattle the Beer Junction kicks the shit outta this place. With the same format and similar layout. Pitstop bottle shop needs more hard rarer and funkier ciders and beers Another thing, get more snacks. Cheese and meat plates would do well and may be get a microwave and sell hit pockets and other shitty food items. Def give this place a try.

I adore the Pit Stop. John and Joey are so friendly, and they obviously want a place for people to relax, have fun, and share some beers. They really support having a neighborhood hang out. We’ve gone a few times, and bought bottles from the cases to share with other patrons. It’s a fun and relaxed place, with lots of great rotating taps.

Great fit for Burien! This has a local Mom and Pop feel. I’ve sat in the comfy adjustable bar stools and watched a game. I was a little disappointed with no food, but the owner Joey had to go Menu’s from local restaurants that had special pricing for her and even delivered. On my second trip I mentioned wanting Dog Fish Head 90 min IPA. Joey took my number and let me know if she got some she’s give me a call. A week later she called as said she’d have some at the store with the following order… Then she offered me a case break to add to the order. Pricing was good enough for me to order two cases. SCORE! Keep it up guys!

I really hope I get to change my review and add more stars in the future. So I know they are still slightly new but as a bottle shop they are very much lacking! All the beers they have aren’t really special or unique, you can find them at most grocery stores. I do hope they add more to their selection. Because it would be great having a good bottle shop in the neighborhood! They are a way better bar then bottle shop. Comfy seats at the bar. Good selection of on tap beers and they have all the proper glassware. They don’t have food but allow you to bring your own. And have some deals with the surrounding dinning places it seems. Staff seems nice enough. Also do growler fillers but they are a bit more pricey then most places. And they do have half off growler fills every Thursday! I am rooting for this local business to up their game!

Very weak selection for a specialty shop. I see the comment below that they have a «customer recommendation sheet», which is fine, but you kind of need to have inventory in the mean time. Last time I was in, I was looking for a six pack, preferably of Anderson Valley sours, but honestly, any good six pack would have done. They had nothing. Pretty much just a selection of 22s, most of which I can find at a good grocery store. I’m really pulling for this place, as it would be great to have a good spot in Burien, but unless their selection improves dramatically, I can’t envision myself going in there often.

Only one of its kind in the area, but it doesn’t disappoint. Owners are very friendly and personable. Drafts are always rotating, keeping it fresh. Not a huge selection of bottled beers but large enough that I keep finding new beers I haven’t tried. No «corking fee» is awesome, larger places usually charge one. Variety of restaurants in the area will deliver food here and you’re welcome to bring your own too. Ideal low-key hangout spot to meet friends and have a few beers or ciders. Obviously, been here a few times they have a loyalty card/app you can download. Only wish there was another TV, so more than one game can be on at a time; If there was more, I’d definitely spend a lot more time here.

Another hidden gem yet to be discovered is what you’ll find at the Pit Stop. Typical beer bottle shop with a bunch of taps, relaxing chairs and big screen television to watch some sports. I found the place with a few locals just relaxing here with good conversation where you can easily just insert yourself as a local and talk it up. As I sat there we traded jokes and you’d think you’ve just inserted yourself into an episode of «Friends». Nice that there’s plenty of carry out places close as I ordered myself a pizza from across the street and came piping hot and yummy. As I was about to leave a couple of guys came in with a huge bag of carry out Chinese food; you’d think it was a Thanksgiving dinner on the bar.
