I rarely get Tex Mex so when I found out we were eating at Miranda’s while I was on a short visit over the weekend in Texas, I was stoked. The restaurant itself definitely got 5-stars for being able to take care of a large group, but that’s about all they got right. There were flies EVERYWHERE in the dining area, which is not only annoying when you are eating(felt like I was at a picnic swatting flies away) but it’s also disgusting. The food was also just alright. Most of the food was just bland, I got the chimichangas(chicken was better than taco meat) but the entrée itself looked more like a crunch wrap supreme from Taco Bell than a chimi. The queso ranks just right around the chimichanga. Totally a bummer. Probably won’t be going back here if I was craving Tex Mex.

The queso tasted like it came out of a can. Salsa is gross. Got 2 «grande burritos» plate, one with chicken and one with beef. It was literally only meet and covered with that awful cheese so I sent it back to get chili con Carne and it was half way decent. Everything about this place is disgusting!

On the rocks margarita VERY weak and disappointing! After the week I have had I needed a real drink. Had to send it back which I never do. Order these at your own risk. Maybe it was just a bad night. The beef fajitas were still good. I will probably be back but not for a little while.

We were staying in the hotel nearby and on our last night decided to give this a try. Unfortunately I did not read all of the reviews before coming in. Number one thing that hit me is that we were asked if we wanted smoking or nonsmoking upon entering — I haven’t been asked that in a while, and should have followed my instincts and turned around then. The service was ok — nothing great, but decent. The food was on the level of a cheap frozen dinner. My husband ordered a margarita which was terrible. There is no ambiance to this place, and it needs a good cleaning. We learned our lesson and will definitely not be back.

BEWARE!!! A couple came in with a small dog on a leash as we were getting ready to leave and the dog hopes up in the booth then they switched booths and went to another booth and waitress served them. I complained to two waitresses they said they were getting the manager and she never came!!! You may end up with dog hair in your food!!! Schooner beer was ice cold but fajita beef was chewy and grainy!

Don’t know why we never stopped here before today, but glad we did. We had the steak Monterey and the chile relleno, both were great. The salsa was wonderful and so were the margaritas and the pina coladas. Friendly people and nice clean place. We will be back anytime we are in the area. They have stolen us from the area’s chain restaurants forever! Keep up the good work!

Not like it use to be. It’s a great place but food is bland and drinks taste watered down.

Baaaad experience at this place. We were doing fine until my wife slipped on the floor while walking to the ladies room. She in formed the waitress and the waitress informed the manager… who hppened to be sitting with friends having drinks herself right next to us. This is where the experience turned rude and intimidating. She became sarcastic and very disrespectful. She was intoxicated and became beligerant. Along with a man at her table. They then followed us outside and began to harass us and attempt to intimadate us. All of this I recorded on video… search«Miranda’s customer service» on YouTube

Hubs and I are obsessed with the«bar fajitas». They are traditional fajitas along with cubed potatoes covered with cheese. All served on the hot skillet. Yummo!

After moving to Burleson we read the reviews and heard from locals that this place was amazing. Maybe we caught it on a bad night but we found it to be «meh.» I had a burrito and my wife had enchiladas. Both tasted like they had just come out of the freezer, to the microwave, and to our table. I ate my burrito despite its rough taste and ended up paying for that later. The only thing that was enjoyable were the margaritas.

Got a to go order on 3÷8÷2015, went to pick it up and a bunch of teenagers were running the place. Got our meal home and they totally screwed our order up. Two fajita dinners with no tortillas, cheese enchiladas with cheese sauce on top ended up being cheese enchiladas with chili on top. Call the manager on duty and she said there was nothing she could do about it. That it would be Wednesday before the manager Karen could help us out. Are you freaking kidding me? Chances are we will never go back. We opened up some mission tortillas and they are just not the same.

We typically love Miranda’s. However, the last time we were there, the food was bland, not at the right temperature, and was sloppy overall. It is definitely a budget Mexican food restaurant, but is typically better than our last experience.

Yum! It’s no wonder that Miranda’s has been here forever. Quality food and friendly service will keep the doors open for a long time. I had the tortilla soup, see the picture, and it was so delicious! Shredded chicken, cheese and generous slices of avocado. It is served in a beautiful blue bowl, on top of a heated blue plate. What a perfect way to serve tortilla soup. Why doesn’t everybody do this? The heated plate on the bottom keeps the soup warm. That’s just a fabulous idea! If I ever serve soup at home for a dinner party, this is how I’m going to do it. On my quest to eat healthy, I asked to omit the tortilla strips from my soup. We joked with the waiter how I was ordering tortilla soup without the tortillas ha ha. Then I ordered the vegetable fajitas, without the tortillas. I only wanted a side of grilled vegetables. So joke number two was that I was now ordering the vegetable fajitas without the fajitas, ha ha. But they were so good! Grilled mushrooms, zucchini, onions, and Bell pepper. A huge plate of it and they only charged me two dollars. See pic.

Got our food to go because we are staying at nearby hotel. Very good sangria swirl! If it’s possible to be too cold it is. I ordered the lunch fajitas very delicious fresh tender meat moist rice and savory red beans. Tortillas are soft and fresh. Salsa is nice and spicy but just enough to make your mouth tingle. Husband got the street tacos very good as well with corn tortillas and he ate the rice and beans which isn’t normal. Love the fresh chips and salsa. Very thin n crispy and warm. Great service!

One of the best kept secrets in Burleson. This is the place were all the regulars eat. Portions are good, pricing is fair and Rita’s are cold. Ask for Karen she awesome. Cameron’s tacos are my favorite. I even had him cater my kids birthday party. Bill is the owner and is always looking after the place. No corporate junk here. Just homemade Mexican food that’s consistent and good.

I have dined here several times and the food is always good. The fajitas are great, especially the beef. Queso is good and the service is pretty good, too, unless you get Carlee, then the service is great! Very reasonable priced food, and on Friday nights they have karaōke in the bar. If, like me, you do not care for smoking in a food establishment, always ask to sit away from the bar/smoking section!

I cannot disagree with the lower stared reviews. I was staying at the Comfort Inn and decided to walk over. So what are the good things about this place??? The cold beer and iced schooners, but how does a restaurant mess that up? The chips and salsa are awful… seriously you are in Texas and this is a paramount staple for any Mexican restaurant. I have no idea why I was brought a bowl of bean«sauce» as there were no beans in the bowl. I ordered the tacos… again not fantastic. The meat and veggies were average at best and the rice and beans weren’t that good. I passed on dessert because I just couldn’t handle and more below average food. So, my suggestion is that if you are a local or not staying at a hotel within walking distance there is no reason to eat here. I am giving the restaurant 3 stars because the waitress is nice and sometime mediocracy is all a restaurant can achieve.

We decided to try it. But, I will not return. There was a very«used» feel and a strange odor as you enter the restaurant from the parking lot. The chips and salsa left a waxy residue on the roof of my mouth. We ordered the lemonade, not fresh. The food was very bland and the refried beans had a bitter flavor. It is located between two hotels, I guess this was why the parking lot was full.

Let me first state that the salsa was awful. It was not hot, spicy, or even in the same category. It was like eating very cold tomato sauce. The chips were decent and warm but I wish they could add a little fire to their sauce. This is a Mexican restaurant, for Christ’s sake! We ordered the steak quesadillas, mixed grill fajitas and the chile relleno. My quesadillas were good. Not great, not extraordinary, just good. I enjoyed them and they did the job. The fajitas were pretty darn great. The steak and chicken were cooked perfectly, not too dry or moist. Just perfect. My husband devoured the chile relleno and said that although he would have thought it was an enchilada if I hadn’t told him what I ordered for him, it was fantastic. Rice and beans were typical. It was the only thing within walking distance of our hotel(Best Western Plus) and although it wasn’t phenomenal, it hit the spot when I was craving some Mexican food and a frozen margarita. I recommend… if you’re desperate ;) Just avoid the salsa.
