I never had a deep dish Chicago style pizza before coming here. My husband, son, and I ate dinner here last night after getting Tpumps a few doors down. The ambiance is so cute! We opt for outdoor seating because we had a stroller with us plus my toddler would just be terrorizing the inside. The service could be a little better, we had to flag down our server to order and then flag him down again to get a box and the check. Also, our table was wobbly which wouldn’t have been a big deal if it was just my husband and I but with a 2 year old… Let’s just say our water was all over the table haha.

I thought this place was slightly overpriced — $ 10.75 for a measly caprese salad?! Their artisan pizzas were alright but also slightly overpriced. The patio outside was pretty sweet, though! And they have space warmers too for those chilly north bay days. Kid friendly though!

Loved the speediness and ease of ordering a quick lunch. Pizza and a salad was such a great value that I will be back for more! Pretty extensive menu with lots of delicious things to try. I can’t wait to return and eat my way through this menu, thank you!

I had the vegetarian deep dish pizza and it was such a waste. The crust was okay, but it was smeared with lots and lots of tomato. Also did not like the zucchini and again lots of it. Overall the service was sushi pretty slow. It was a below average existence.

This menu is not for the faint of heart. I almost died after I spent 20 minutes picking toppings for my delicious pizza and realized that this place does NOT deliver. My heart is broken, and I don’t know how I will put the pieces back together without my jalapeño, pepperoni,(half) sausage, kalamata olive, mushroom pizza. Stay frosty fellow pizza lovers.

Pizza was super good. My wife and I ordered a large and had a meal the next day. Super yummy pizza. Get the meatball pizza! Our server was really nice too, Hispanic guy, probably early twenties. Can’t remember his name, and my receipt says his name is «BAR2», I’m guessing that’s not his name… Any way, check it out. Good spot.

Consistently great deep dish pizza. A great place to come with small groups and great service at various locations I’ve been to(San Carlos, Mt View). Things I’ve ordered: — Wings: does the trick if you’re craving wings and comes with a good amount for sharing! — Garlic bread: so good! Problem is you feel so full after garlic bread and pizza but it is so worth it! Again, they give you a healthy serving so there will be plenty to go around. Comes with a delicious marinara sauce — I like to keep it on the table if there’s any leftover to dip the pizza crust into! — Deep dish: must get! You have the option to turn any of the regular pizzas into deep dish as well, but I would stick with the flavors they have on the deep dish menu. I’ve had the Classic and the Meatball, both are fantastic(slight preference for Meatball because you get a dallop of ricotta on each slice). I tried getting the pesto deep dish, which was still tasty but the deep dish pesto was a little weird. Make sure to ask for honey for the table for when you get down to the crust. Honey + corn meal crust is to die for! Great pizza, great and affordable for pick-up too!

My two friends(they are African American) arrived before I did and were seated in the back without being consulted, and there were several open tables in the front. We had a lackluster but perfectly acceptable server and when we paid the bill at the end, left a note about our concerns over the seating oversight. Upon reading the note, the server became defensive and surly, complained about the tip and was extremely unpleasant. We won’t be returning regardless of the food.

Amazing deep dish pizzas! Definitely one of the best pizzas in the Bay Area. They do not sell by the slice, only whole 9″ or 12″ pizzas. However, during lunch time, they offer individual size pizzas. My favorite is the Classic deep dish which comes with Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions and green bell peppers.

I’ve been here twice and sat outside both times, but I like that they have sports games playing inside for those who want to watch! To be honest, the pizzas(both deep dish and thin crust) are solid but not memorable. However, if you do want to order deep dish note that there will be a 30min wait time so keep that in mind. This brings me to what I really come here for: the garlic bread! The bread is super fluffy, and comes with melted cheese and a marinara dip. It’s actually not that garlicky in flavor, but it’s super delicious nonetheless!(And won’t stink up your breath in the process)

STEPHANIEANDDONOVANROCK!!! They were my waitress and waiter tonight, and I have never received such warm, attentive, and wonderful service before at any restaurant. Each of them(Stephanie began as my waitress, and Donovan took over when she went off shift) arranged the heat lamps around my party so we were toasty warm; checked back with us regularly to make sure we were doing well; and offered helpful hints about the food and drinks. THEYWEREAMAZING!!! As far as the food, still delicious as ever. I got a thin crust pizza, and it was incredible. My two friends got two deep dish pizzas and raved about them. We also enjoyed the roasted peppers and meatballs appetizers, and they were delicious as well, complemented by delicious wines and(in my case) some great IPAs. Burlingame has some great little restaurants and cafés, and Blue Line Pizza is one of them. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED.

I hosted my son’s birthday party in the back patio and the staff was incredibly attentive, helpful and accommodating, even for the picky guests. Working with Heather, the event planner, was easy and she was very helpful in making sure we had all the details covered. I’ve always loved their pizza and now have them on my list for parties as well!

A girlfriend brought me here for late lunch on a Friday. We enjoyed the food, beer, atmosphere and service. Food(which we split): +(build your own) Artichoke Hearts/Bacon/Mushrooms/Pepperoni(Individual thin crust pizza) $ 10.75 + Half Caesar salad $ 6.75 And we each had a Hangar 24 beer $ 5.50 Atmosphere: This would make for a great date spot or a business lunch. It was pretty empty, as we got there at maybe 2:30pm. We were the only patrons out in their beautiful open back patio(a few diners sat the table towards the end of our meal). Service was friendly and came out to check on us after our orders came out and also during our meal. Parking: Metered parking along Burlingame Ave. Bonus: Lots of shops up and down the street. I’ll be coming back to try more options on their menu!

This fatty knows her pizza. This family has done its legwork. This pizza place is legit. We are fans of little star and had high hopes for blue line. We were not disappointed. We ordered the blue line deep dish. It was delicious. The ricotta cheese is a blessing this slice of heaven. Their appetizer of cheesy garlic bread is really really good. We are always greeted with smiles and the staff/service is always on point. It gives you the feels of a great family pizza spot.

I couldn’t decide between 4 and 5 stars. this is an interesting place with pretty good pizza. We shared the bacon and blue cheese salad which was plenty for two people and it was so good that we didn’t even notice that there was no bacon. they have a patio in the back and it is bigger than the inside. The inside was so noisy that for me the patio would be essential. The staff appear to be students, young and not on the professional server level but friendly and helpful when needed. We had the deep dish pizza which I don’t normally get. It was flavorful and even the small had leftovers for two people. We were staying at an airport hotel and just needed something easy before flying out in the morning. This really fit the bill. It is in an area that has many restaurants and bars within walking distance of each other. I think it is called Burlingame. Give it a try.

We’ve been here and had great pizza and we’ve been here to have mediocre pizza. Deep dish is good but they serve it covered with canned tomatoes and that’s not all that appealing. When I’ve asked them«no canned tomatoes on top please» it’s as though I asked them to recite the alphabet in Yiddish. They look at me with this puzzled look. Not once, not twice but three different waiters on three separate occasions. If you work here, you’ve tried the food. Even the über skinny birds have chowed on the pie so obviously you are aware of the canned tomatoes I speak of. My wife tells me I over think EVERYTHING and after giving that some thought, maybe she’s on to something. But, canned tomatoes! Alas, I’m here again typing up this review as I wait for my canned tomatoes so this is the day I get over myself and deal with it. The day I break through from picky eater to roll with the punches guy. It’s gonna be a challenge, that I know for sure. I am confident that Tiffany or Becky will read this and say something like«O M Gee! This dude knows nothing of, like, Chicago deep dish.» To which I would say, its Burlingame hun, settle down. I don’t care about Chicago, the Cubs, Da Bears or the religious ritual of their pizza. I’m from here, so if you wanna bring deep dish to the bay prepare for a little criticism from the bay area peeps cause you know we have opinions to share. This next sentence is directed to Unilocal more so than to Blue Line. NOBIKEPARKINGANYWHERE. Neva eva EVA cause those of you who park bikes or the folks who ride bikes. Those of you who ride bikes and declare that we shall share the road are delusional. Sharing, in the above noted example would be 50 for me 50 for you, not the 90 you seem to want and the 10 ya leave me! Ya dig bike hipsters?

Solid deep dish pizza. I’m not a local Chicago-er so IDK about authenticity but it tastes yummy/hearty/filling/cheesy. Order any of their deep dish pizzas and expect a 30 minute wait. I personally prefer the Meatball one bc it comes out with baked Ricotta on top mmm. I love that they use a cornmeal crust! It adds depth. Note: For reservations of large groups(15+ people) they have a new system: You need to call Heather at(650) 918‑9589. She does the reservations for all Blue Line locations. You do not need to reserve using a credit card, but you should place your order 48 hours in advance as a courtesy. They are very very strict on the 15+ person rule. If you only have 14 people, then find someone else to join!

This review is actually for a single item that we liked so much that we ordered it each time of the two times that we’d been there: Their Express Artisan Pizza: Blue Line Margherita(Sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, roasted garlic, basil and fresh cracked pepper). Simple, crispy thin crust with awesome flavor. This should remind pizza lovers that it’s not always about all the ingredients that you can pile on, just excellent execution of a few fine ingredients and you have this treat of a pizza. If you need a little more protein in your meal then order the Spicy Meatball appy(house-made beef meatballs, marinara, mozzarella & shaved Parmesan) but this is a great place for pizza if the Margherita is any example.

Service: Eh. Our server must have been new. She was young and quiet and very soft spoken. She took drink orders for half the table, brought those out, and then, took orders for the other half of the table. Uhhh? You could barely hear her when she spoke. So, that’s where you lose points. Sorry. Food: Good. We ordered three pizzas and an appetizer. The chicken wings were delicious with a kick of spice — they were quite enjoyable. We ordered a chicken flatbread, a sausage pizza, and their specialty pizza. They were all delicious, and the crust on the pizzas was amazing. I would’ve actually ate the crust by itself. Atmosphere: Great. They have different spaces, and there was even an event going on in the patio area. It’s modern, hip, and it’s definitely a place to hang out with family or friends and get pizza wasted.

Blue Line Pizza gets the distinction of having my first taste of what Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza is like. They got it right with their thick cornmeal crust, cheese layer on the bottom, and red sauce on top. When the Burlingame location opened, it was a huge pizza blessing! I’ve dined here a few times and have also ordered to-go a few times as well. Here’s a sampling of their pizzas: Deep Dish Meatball – Spicy housemade meatballs, ricotta, spinach, mushrooms, red bells This was the very first pizza I ever ordered from here and it has become my favorite of their deep dish pizzas. It’s such a robust pie and has mostly everything I like in a regular pizza. The meatballs have a great spicy kick! It’s also great when you order it to-go. I highly recommend this pie! Brass Monkey – Spinach blended with ricotta & feta, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and Italian sausage This is essentially their famous Blue Line with Italian sausage added. I ordered with with some friends and everyone seemed to like it very much. It’s a good all-around deep dish pie if you want a little bit of everything. White Pie – Garlic infused olive oil base, roasted zucchini, fresh tomatoes, feta This one we tried out of curiosity It was very light because it of the lack of meat but because it uses the same cornmeal crust it had a good flavor. Get this if you have light eaters in your group. I’ve also tried their garlic bread which I don’t have a pic of, but it’s pretty amazing because of the cheese and garlic and comes with marinara sauce for dipping. It’s pretty much like a deconstructed pizza. Very similar to Buca di Beppo’s. Burlingame Blue Line is my preferred location even though the Daly City location is closer to my home. Before the Daly City location opened, I used to order a pizza to-go here on occasion. The quality of the pizzas and service are pretty much the same, but the big difference is that the weather is nicer which makes great use of their heated patio in the back, and also makes it a great spot to meet with a group of folks. If outdoor dining isn’t your thing though, then either location works fine.
