So delicious. Generous toppings and lots of cheese. Is that rosemary in the crust? Yum! I’ll be back soon! Strange how you have to order up front and go to another counter to get a beverage. Every one was really nice though.

Their pizza is the best! Crunchy crust, delicious toppings, great service. I love the old Ms. Pac Man game in the back. Favorite neighborhood spot!

Bad pizza, bad service, dingy atmosphere… won’t be back.

The pizza here is great but they seriously need to rethink their system of having to go to the bar as a separate transaction to buy a soda. We called ahead and our pizza was ready but had to wait 15 minutes while a lone employee at the bar served a line of people. The result? Cold pizza.

Don’t look behind the counter because it’s very dirty and full of old pizza and crushed boxes. The staff was busy talking with each other instead of serving customers and when it came to taking our order they were slow. The pizza here is average. The crust is on the thick side and whoever made the pizza left it sitting there for awhile before they called our name. They added a lot of cheese but the flavors tasted like Dominos and I wished they would have called us when our pizza was still hot.

Great neighborhood location, kid friendly and never too busy. Parking is not as bad as BG ave. but still limited. Pizza is crispy and not too thick. Staff is hit or miss; I’ve had times where they greet right away and times I can’t order a drink from the bar to save my life. Watch out for the video games in the back that take slot of quarters.

Great pizza, great cheeseburgers, nice selection of beer and soda. Good atmosphere — not pretentious, salad bar, decent amount of TV’s always showing the games. This place is practically run by 16 year olds and you wouldn’t even know it by the efficient service. Delivery is the same too, always good service throughout Burlingame and Hillsborough. It’s a Pizza Parlor and the best in town, what more can I say? — 5 Stars

I really likED this place, but today I noticed how unsanitary it is. The floor was dirty, and the booth seats were dirty. While waiting at the bar, I saw employees kicking boxes under the oven on the corn meal covered floor! I can’t eat here again after seeing this.

This place is my number #2 pizza-place in Burlingame. They serve a very well made pizza in a distinctive neighborhood feel café. We usually order margarita pizza with tomato, basil and mozzarella. Their dough is soft and fluffy and always feel fresh

All day everyday getting to the hostess with the mostess. VILLAGEHOST. Great location and very much a throwback pizza location. Good crust and even better cheese. The cheese is just right and the sauce is the best. Every time I am in burlingame and want pizza this where I order pizza. If you have time to eat here do it. Parking can be hectic due to limited parking in the area. They always exceed my expectations.

Pretty basic pizza spot. Surprised to see it as crowded as it was for a Wednesday night. You order your food at the cash register counter and they call your number over a loud speaker. There is a separate bar area where you can get pitchers of beer or soda, which you also stand in line for. There was also a small salad bar area. Hubs and I shared the garlic chips and a small pizza. I wish I had taken a picture of the garlic chips cuz they were not at all what I expected! It’s pretty much cheese bread. I enjoyed it, but the crust area was and extremely thin cracker like crust so it just broke off into a million little pieces — how can I dip that in ranch? The toppings on the pizza were fresh, which was appreciated. If you love a thin, crispier, crackery crust — you will like this place.

Rude service. I ordered a pizza and when it didn’t show I called to check on it. The guy on the phone said that the driver had come, called and left when I didn’t show then suggested I leave a better description of where to deliver the pizza. I left a well detailed description of there I am located out of courtesy and they failed to follow it and blamed me. They said they would re deliver it since the driver went all the way back to the village host instead of calling me when he was obviously confused and or lost. Now its been well over an hour and I still dont have a pizza. I will not be ordering from them ever again. ONCEMYPIZZAWASDELIVEREDTHEYGAVEITTOMEFORFREESOALLISFORGIVEN.

Being the closest pizza shop to home we gave it a shot. Ordered a large pepperoni and mushroom and a medium bbq chicken. Pizza was just ok. Crust was a little heavy especially as it cooled. And given the size it was pricier than some other places. Medium runs($ 14 – 17, large $ 18 – 25 depending on toppings). Four adults ate all that pizza with only a slice leftover.

Remember the pizza place from your childhood? Well, leave it to Village Host to recreate that scene for you! The neighborhood and restaurant environment is homey. The pizza is thin crust(but not too thin), topped with plenty of toppings, and cheddar cheese(yea!). The petite size pizza perfect for one person to devour! Prices are also affordable — be sure to check the website for coupons.

My friend described their pizza as «pizza from your childhood» and after finally trying it I agree… it’s just regular-ass pizza, nothing very exciting about it, it was even a bit bland. They do have a nice selection of toppings, including garlic. They don’t have the option of pan crust, just regular(thin but not as thin as NY pizza). A large(which is not very large — my BF and I finished 7⁄8 of the pizza) cost us around $ 27. That’s what we pay for a large Blue Line deep dish pizza, but this was a lot less satisfying.

Got a supreme large pizza and it wasn’t bad but also not memorable. Bit pricey so don’t mentally compare this to what you could’ve gotten at domino’s or any other chain restaurants or you might get upset. Their«buffalo strips» need SIGNIFICANT improvement. Literally 6 small pieces of chicken breast, with some franks red hot over it. I’m surprised whoever made up that item actually had the heart to sell it like that.

This was an affordable dinner option for the small non-profit where I work. We needed dinner for 40+ people near the Hyatt SFO and this was a good option. We had the whole back room and several tables in the back half of the restaurant. It wasn’t too busy so they let us put all our pizzas on a few booths so we could come up to grab slices. THESERVICE: Very prompt. Our reservation was for 7:15pm, and our pizzas came out minutes afterwards! We had to grab plates ourselves(they are stacked by the kitchen, this might just be how they do things), and they brought out pitchers of water and glasses. THEPIZZAS: Their pizzas have a surprisingly nice crust: thicker with good crunch to it, and fresh very, very stretchy cheese. Note that they slice their pizzas into SIXTEEN slices, rather than the traditional eight. Because we’d made our order ahead of time and accounted for ~2.5 slices per person, when we realized how small these slices are, we had to order 4 more pizzas on top of the 9 we’d originally gotten. I tried a lot of the pizzas! Below is a general breakdown of the toppings… Great: Pineapple Ham(the ham is sliced thin and layered, it’s very soft!) Mushroom(COVERED with tons of mushroom — good if you like mushroom!): Good: Veggie Pepperoni Sausage(pretty soft, slightly rubbery texture but still good) Chicken Sun-dried Tomato(pretty sharp flavor on the tomato!) Not as good: Pesto(not much flavor! Usually one of my faves)

Village host is the best. It’s the spot to go to for locals and visitors of Burlingame. The owner Mike is awesome. The space is comfortable and has plenty of flat screen TVs with an arcade in the back. They have a nice selection of beers on tap, large glasses of wine, salad bar, and soup. Not only do they serve up pizzas(pies), they have sandwiches and other specialty items. The Pizza Sandwich is a bread roll with sauce, cheese, and 2 toppings of your choice. The village host special is a hot sandwich with 3 types of meat. The pesto chicken sandwich or teriyaki chicken is always a winner. The garlic chips are bomb as well as the pesto bread with cheese. They use fresh dough and ingredients for their pizza. You can even order for delivery and of course pickup. This place will never let you down. Mike has trained an army of young people to run the place and they do a fine job.
