Broadway Grill

Overall good service and good food. Good selections of food and good portions. Had the prime rib and it was good. Not like the House of Prime Rib but it was still a good steak.

My friend and our two children stopped by this restaurant on Saturday night not sure what to expect given the mixed reviews. The atmosphere was great and we were promptly seated, our waitress came to see us right away. The food was great and the portions were generous. We will definitely stop by this place again when in Burlingame. They also have a live band however, when we were there they didn’t have one. Looking forward to seeing a live band there next time.

Service: Poor.
–Our server forgot to put in my Aunts and offered no remedy.
–Server was often hard to find. Took 20 minutes to ask for water.
–she did not clear my appetizer plate before yes handed me my entrée, so I had no where to put it (serving 101)
–There is an exit door near the back of the restaurant. Every time an employee came back inside (which was several times), It smelled like cigarette smoke. [update, we just left and there was our server, on the side of the building smoking].
Food: okay.
–I had the chicken pot pie. Flavor was good but there was way too much crust compared to the amount of filling
Atmosphere: I dig. They had the golden oldies playing which was nice.
Overall, a mediocre experience.

We saw on Unilocal they 3.5 stars. It is totally wrong ! After I got my own experience About great testy food I put my 5 stars and will coming for sure again in this excellent restorant .

Another excellent meal and entertainment at Broadway Grill! From the moment we walked in, till we left we the service was amazing. Have never been disappointed with our choice to dine at Broadway Grill.

This is one of the nicest and friendliest I have been to. The food is excellent and the service staff is also. Good portions and very tasty. Friday nights with the music makes it even better. I would highly recommend it. I drive 29 miles to get there.
Just ate there tonight 4−15−16, and the food left a little to be desired. Ordered Chicken pic arts and it was really over cooked, dry and the beans were cold. It was a little crowded but it looked like a whole bunch of servers that I had never seen.
Would never order the chicken again.

Gluten free options, outside tables in shade, dog friendly (brought him a cup of water), delicious food, delightful server who was amazingly attentive even when I was the only outside table and inside was busy. Nothing short of perfect!

There are very few restaurants where the food and service are consistently very good. Broadway Grill is one of those restaurants. The staff are always professional and very courteous. The food is well prepared and the presentation is looking very. The food, from the appetizers to the dessert, are delicious. The ambiance is very nice. The management of Broadway Grill do a fantastic job of running things efficiently. These are the reasons I have been dining here for years and will continue to do so in the future.

Wow, one of my favorite evenings ever. The food was outstanding, and the entertainment was spectacular. I was lucky to have gone here for dinner on a Friday night while in town visiting. The mood of this venue, the level of service, the selection of menu items, all contributed to a marvelous evening. I highly recommend to all.

This place was fantastic. We came with a large party and ordered appetizers, drinks, entrees and dessert. Everything was served in a timely manner. All the food I ate was divine. My husband very much enjoyed his pasta dish and cleaned the plate on the Xanga dessert. I ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes which was cooked to perfection. We were there for Motown Monday which made the experience that much more exciting. The singers included everyone in the restaurant in the entertainment. I definitely recommend this place to people visiting the area or looking for a fun place to eat.

Omg… this place is pretty awesome.
Came here for brunch and the second we walked in my friend got serenaded by a live singer. Thats right… they have live music here and I would assume all day because who hires a singer or band for brunch? (This place does!)
The service is great, and so is the food. I already forgot the name of the dish that I ordered (sorry :[) but it was the breakfast burger or something along those line. Essentially, it was a ‘burger’ with vanilla waffles as the bun, topped, sunny side up egg and bacon. Yummmmm. Additionally, I had the pleasure to try their corn bread. It came in an iron skillet pan and topped with jalapeño butter *drools.
I highly recommend this place! My two friends who came here before mentioned that every dish that they tried here before were delicious and it stayed true with my visit here !

We had a pleasure spending our Valentines Day Dinner at the Broadway Grill in Burlingame, CA. My Fiancé and I were very happy with our dinner choices. I was very surprised on the portions, I thought they are going to be small, but when they brought our plates, I was like wow. I had ordered Coconut Shrimps, oh they were so good and he ordered Steak. When I got my desert I was shocked how huge and delicious it was. The bottom line we were pleased.

My go to for happy hour. Quiet and lovely ambiance.

It would be easier if they just served better food.
The menu is poorly designed and it shows. Like, really? Fancy skins?
Your fancy skins are hard russet potatoes, barely filled will mediocre toppings including the previous night’s uneaten prime rib. Your prime rib is not good. As soon as it arrived at my table I knew I sabotaged myself. It looked disgusting. It was wayyyy too salty and slimy. There’s a top notch prime rib joint a block away — go there.
The Caprese flatbread is just sad. I make better flatbread at home. Soggy and flavorless. The firecracker shrimp is lazily put together, bland and boring. The shrimp weren’t deveined either. Save yourself the calories on all these appetizers.
Pasta is pretty basic and barely sauced or seasoned. How hard is it to toss the pasta in a nice lemony sauce? Everything seems to lack effort and zest.
Even the chicken is just meh. For the price and location I would expect better food. Especially if you’re pushing prime rib with high end competition steps away.
The desserts were the most depressing. Ordered the cheesecake xango. Described as rich and smooth cheesecake rolled in a tortilla, deep fried and served with ice cream. Gross. It’s an oily tortilla filled with cream cheese. It was not sweet. The filling didn’t even slightly resemble cheesecake.
My husband ordered the brownie with ice cream. Kinda hard to mess that up right? Seemed the safest of the dessert choices. SURPRISE! It was terrible. The brownie was hard as a rock. You could break your teeth trying to eat that.
Like I said, it would be easier to cook better food — not recycled leftovers.
Though the décor is nice there’s a noticeably weird façade of «fancy skins». I get why people like this joint — for the live music and performances. All of whom are very talented. But if you’re sitting next to a speaker be prepared for it to get LOUD.
Service was good. I appreciated the continuous flow of beverages. But that’s not enough to get me back in the door again.

Went here on a Friday night. There is a second floor with tables and that’s where we were seated. There also happened to be a live band upstairs, which was pretty good. All in all, the place was mostly packed.
We were both not very hungry, so we opted for soup, vegetables, and dessert. Her French onion and my clam chowder were both good but extremely salty. The side veggie was just ok, also with a lot of salt and pepper.
The dessert, cheesecake and ice cream was rather tasty. No complaints.
The service was very good.
Next time we’ll try some of the main courses.

What happens when you collide an old bank building with an interior decorator and an owner with good financing? This place. Whoever decorated Broadway Grill was a genius.
I ordered a medium rare black and blue burger and it was cooked to perfection. The fresh hot fries were excellent. My partners BLT with avocado and salad were also excellent. The service was great and the water and ice tea kept flowing. The music played at a reasonable volume and we could actually hear each other speak.

Motown Monday is spectacular. What a fun place to celebrate a birthday. Service was very attentive, anytime anyone asked them to take a photo they were more than happy to oblige.
Cocktails: The Caribbean Strawberry Mojito was super yummy. I hear the cucumber gimlet is awesome too.
Food: Appetizers came quickly and was very tasty.
The steaks and prime rib were spot on.
Dessert: I had the S’mores in a jar. Was very interesting, the melted marshmallow topping was super yummy along with the chocolate middle, I’m not sure but I think there was a little cake in it. The bottom gram cracker part was a little hard to eat as it hardened up.
Entertainment: OMG what can I say, Preston and Darryl were phenomenal. The crowed loved the music and everyone was up on their feet dancing.
Super fun place.

Here I am, 5 years later!
I got the Athena burger as a bowl/​salad– without the bun. It was GNARLY. It was slimy and wet. No really, it really was.
Three out of the other four people I was having lunch with got a crab sandwich. All of them were surprised to see a middle layer of bread (like a club sandwich), and barely any crab.
The waiter was nice.

I came here for my first time and it was delicious! Our server was Ryan and he was very attentive and very nice. He recommended the Hot & Spicy Shrimp and Calamari for appetizers and they were both delicious. We were a big party so we ended up ordering a second order of the Hot & Spicy Shrimp.
For my entrée I had the Steak & Frites, the blue cheese sauce was delicious and my meat was cooked perfectly. He mentioned that Fridays and Mondays they have music, I would definitely return for the food and to hear the band.
The next time I come I will try the Ahi Tuna Nachos, their apps look delicious.

Great service! Come here for dinner around 7 to catch live jazz on a Saturday!
Food is good, and they have a pretty good wine menu! Skinny margaritas for the win! :)
