Just ordered to-go. Really enjoy their food. Especially their Shanghai Chow Mein and dumplings. Plus you can see the cooks make your food which is pretty cool. Otherwise, decent place and enjoy coming here.

We haven’t been to this place after their renewal. They changed the name of the restaurant but the menu looks the same. We ordered XLB, leak and shrimp dumplings, 韭菜盒子(leak box??) and the fish with sour veggie soup. I have to say they are all very delicious! XLB is probably the best around this area. When we bit into the bun, it was so juicy and the dough tasted nice and was very thin. It was also good with the sauce. Their dumplings were very good as well. The waiter was very attentive and the price was reasonable. Will definitely come back :)

Ordered for pick up. When I walked in I said hello to the guy behind the counter. He didn’t respond. I told him I had an order for pickup, he looked at me like I was an asshole and then turned and slammed the bell on the counter then walked away. Another guy came out and he was the one to take the payment and hand me the food. This guy was pretty nice and the reason I didn’t give this place 1 star. Got the Combination Chow Fun, and Won Ton Soup with chicken. The combination chow fun had 2 pieces of shrimp, 2 pieces of chicken, 2 pieces of beef and all of them tiny pieces. The rest of the plate was rice noodle. Pretty bland. There was only a few pieces of onion in there. The Won Ton soup w/chicken had one piece of chicken. There were a lot of won tons but again, no flavor. I’m assuming that if I ordered something different or ate in the restaurant it would probably be better because the menu is so extensive. Even with a 2 star rating, I’ll go back to give it another shot because some of their main dishes look pretty good.

Okay, it’s not Ming’s, but Ming’s is so awesome on so many levels that it’s doubtful it can be beat. But Full House was okay for us. Chongqing spicy chicken was a little short of the spicy and depth of flavor I prefer but it did hit the spot. And their mu shu vegetables were a little above average. Staff is a little cold, as was our tea. But for a quick sit down bite in a poorly decorated atmosphere that feels like the back of a kitchen — this place didn’t kill us so I have therefore become stronger. Probably not s repeater but will do in a pinch…

I have ordered take out a few times. Liked — pork dumplings — siu lung bao(soup dumplings) — crispy chicken So So — green onion pancake — bean curd noodles — chow mein and chow fun Disliked — can be hit or miss on timing: I had to wait an extra 5 – 10 mins because they forgot a dish that I ordered; everything was packaged and I am standing there waiting for one more dish while my other food is getting cold Overall, I do like the food but I would be careful with take out orders on a busy night.

An okay Chinese food place… Don’t get the fried rice as mine was slightly undercooked. I recommend the entrées with some noodles. +1 bonus star for delivery! I didn’t like was the fact that I ordered Singapore rice noodles and got Shanghai chow mein… It wasn’t a huge deal since I was debating which one to get anyway, but the restaurant should have made sure what it was I ordered! I made the order online and just checked: I did place the rice noodles so they goofed! The hot and sour soup is bad… Wayyyy too much salt and vinegar :/think msg overload!

I thought this was going to be a good because when I ate here before they changed owners, it was quite good. However, it’s not very good now. Their chinese donut got hard pretty quickly. The salty soy milk was not up to the usual standards and was kind of underwhelming. Their house cut noodles lacked flavor. The sichuan chicken was ok but nothing special. The lamb and cabbage sour soup was ok but I’m not really into sour soups. Anyways, I probably won’t go back.

The food wasn’t anything to brag about. If i was to order, I definitely wouldn’t order the same items again. 1. Combination Fried Rice– seriously!!! I totally looked at pictures on Unilocal and my friend rice looked like white rice with oil, all the veggies and the meat. There was no flavor, but thank goodness for soy sauce. 2. Potstickers– These things were huge and didn’t taste great, they were just okay. I would have liked to have the sauce that typically comes with potstickers especially since they were huge, but they included a tiny cup with not even a half inch of sauce. I dipped 1 and even shook it and the sauce was gone. Not joking! 3. Won Ton Soup– This actually was more like Wor Wonton because it had chicken and shrimp, but it was missing good flavor. I gave it a 2 because I wasn’t wanting to throw up, but the food could have been better.

Great local authentic Chinese food! I love their XLB and salty soy milk! They are always very accommodating with our order since my hubby prefers BBQ chicken with only chicken breast. The restaurant needs an update but we do mostly take out.

I really don’t know why this restaurant«changed» everything. The staff are all the same as the Five As Café. And to be honest, the old menu was more authentic. My first trip to Five As after they first opened in 2010 was memorable since the food was always top notch with a wonderful authentic SiChuan spiciness. My second experience was different since they seemed to have taken down the spiciness a bit, but it was still a great dining experience. But on this last trip, I was apprehensive because of the new name and menu, but most of my favorite dishes were still there. The ChongQing Chicken, in spite of all the surrounding peppers, had very little heat, and the meat was overly soft and breaded. Smoked Pork with Leek was tasty, but too way much meat and the smoked pork was a little different quality, more like Western ham. I liked the cumin lamb because it had a strong authentic cumin flavor. Good choice. I give this new Full House three stars since the change in menu/taste has let down those of us who demand a real SiChuan taste. Under its previous incarnation, this restaurant would have earned 5 starts from me. The breaded dishes such as chicken or shrimp really do not belong on true SiChuan menu. Instead of trying to appeal to the«American Chinese food» crowd, they should play to their strengths and serve their dishes with the fiery passion of the SiChuan region.

Ordered through eat24 on Sunday evening. 4 items. Usually when I order for pick up, it takes 15mins to get ready. Through eat24 delivery, ETA was 45−60mins. We literally stared at the app timer for the last 15mins… Took over an hour to get to our house. At 55mins, I called the restaurant and she says the driver has been out for at least 20mins… 3 stops before mine. Ok so I will just pick up next time. Now onto food: I’m used to the way it was at 5A’s. So feels like something is missing. Don’t order walnut prawn. Too much batter and the prawn is small.

I’m glad I discovered this place as a place that will satisfy XLB and hot-and-sour soup cravings when in the Millbrae-Burlingame area. The prices are better than the restaurant in Broadway in Millbrae(and apparently less need to wait for table). I enjoyed the hot and sour soup they made that night. As for the XLB’s, it appears they make it there and if you enter from the door facing El Camino you can walk thru the kitchen where they make it. In my opinion they tasted good but still could be cooked better because in my order(10 pieces) at least half had broken skin. They also serve weekend Nortgern-style dim sum items such as soy milk drinks and sticky rice roll, but in my opinion they were not that memorable. Not that I won’t come here again ordering those but it won’t be a top choice either. Will be back from time to time, most likely.

Food is salty for sure but the salty spiciness is what we needed today. We have been here three times already. The shanghai noodles are chewy(portion a bit small) $ 10/dish Szechuan filet fish with tofu — it’s spicy with the chilli oil but tastes good with cilantro. bamboo shoot with country pork and mushrooms — this was okay. do not get the honey walnut prawns — it was deep fried with a thick batter and did not taste very good. I saw some folks order xlb but I have yet to do it. Easy parking and overall pretty spacious inside and moderately clean.

Food is fine, but when they ask if your mapo tofu is to contain meat or not, they might bring it the other way. Glasses are also pretty soapy. Nice family runs it. Chefs are different than before when it was 5 A’s Café. Will give it another try in a bit.

The noodle was OK but the XLB was excellent. I would go back just for the XLB.

We used to come here when it was 5A, and was surprised to see it had changed ownership/name. Decided to give it a try. Staff was friendly and the inside was clean. We tried the spicy cold noodles and fish head soup, both were delicious and very reasonably priced with generous portions. The Chinese cabbage stir fried with fried shrimp, and Chongqing fried chicken were also delicious. Sweet soy milk tasted home made, I drank a big bowl all by myself. The green onion pancake and fried salty long donut were bland and had very little flavor.

We ran to this place by accident but the food here surprised us a lot. The Chinese food is very authentic and price is very reasonable. We will definitely give this restaurant another visit next time. Recommended!

Hard shoes to fill after Five A’s. I grew up going to Five A’s with certain expectations of how specific dishes would taste. I would give them 2.5 stars but I rounded up since they just opened and they’re trying to figure the kinks out. We got the JJ Mian, XLB, sweet soy milk, salty soy milk, green onion pancake and sesame toast with meat. JJ Mian– wayyyyy to salty, didn’t like it one bit. It’s suppose to be Shanghainese style but just seemed like there were tiny bits of meat, a ton of soy sauce paste, and sprouts. XLB– decent, no shock factor here. Some of them were torn so no soup but the meat filling was tasty. I believe they make their own XLB’s too. I saw another table get dumplings, it looked really good. Think I will try those next time. Sweet/Salty Soy Milk– Both were delicious though the salty one was a little too salty for my taste. I added some of the sweet one in and it was perfect. They had all the right ingredients, chopped preserved veggies, chinese donuts, little dry shrimp bits Green onion pancake– my favorite thing here so far. The boy and I are super choosey about green onion pancake. This is crispy on the outside with enough green onions that you actually taste the green onions. Although I wish they put more in, I am satisfied. Sesame toast with meat– absolute nono. The filling was delicious but the flaky sesame toast was not flaky at all, in fact, it was super doughy and I could taste the dough. Not a fan… could be improved. Chinese Donut– made to order for each table! Fresh, crispy and yummy! The service is friendly, family style. They all smile when they talk to you. It’s a little disorganized right now since they just opened and they’re working out their own system, like when to serve food items together and what not. Like our soy milk came first and donuts came practically after we were done with our meal. If they get their timing figured out, it would be a huge plus. I would come again but not anytime soon. Maybe in a few months to see if they’ve made improvements. (1)
