Neil’s Cafe

Classic style diner, Antonio (our server) was nothing short of awesome. Followed another Unilocal’er advice and went with the Eggs and Cornbeef hash, yum! Healthy size servings. Family enjoyed all their dishes as well. Would definitely return.

I am definitely a regular at Neil’s. My favorite is their (well done/​crispy) Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, which I usually substitute the hash brown/​potato with fruits. Lately I have been feeling more adventurous by «branching out» :P and trying other specials/​items on the menu (such as Joe’s Special), and my verdict is that they are all delicious. My brother loves their Chicken Steak, which I have yet to try though. The portion is always generous, so price point wise is relatively reasonable for the quality and amount of food served. The staff at Neil’s are friendly and attentive; they do come by and check on us regularly, making sure we have refills for our coffee, water, cream, etc.
Neil’s Café is a hidden neighborhood gem that definitely deserves more credit. It is always my favorite breakfast spot before hitting the road to Napa, must have a BIG breakfast for cushioning before pouring down some vino after all (LOL)!! I always arrive hungry and leave feeling satisfied, full, and content. I’d highly recommend as it is a great place for breakfast and brunch no doubt, try it out sometime! :)

To be honest, I have passed this place many times. A mistake for sure!!!
We had breakfast here and I was very happy with the food and even with the corn beef hash… YUM.
I felt this place had the typical diner feel, but the staff was very nice. I forgot her name, but an older lady with piercings… she was super nice!

I had breakfast here recently and loved it.
The staff was really friendly. There were a lot of regulars who came in while we were dining and the staff was very personable with them. The environment was wonderful.
The food was really good. I had an omelette which was cooked perfectly. One of my friends ordered the biscuits and gravy, I had one bite and OMG it was good!

Not sure who paid for the the rave reviews. This place is a mediocre diner at best. The staff were very rude and just generally grumpy, not a one looked like they ever had a happy moment in their lives. I ordered the corn beef hash meal, as it was listed under specials. I try to get what a place is best at the first time I go. Everything tasted like it was from a box. I’m pretty sure the corn beef was the kind you get from safeway in a can. The only thing giving this place two instead of one is one of the waitresses apologized for being grumpy. Still though, the food wasn’t worth it even if the staff had been pleasant.

Excellent breakfast! Best breakfast spot on on the peninsula. Skip ninis and millbrae pancake house and come here. Don’t miss the chicken fried steak and corned beef hash.

I can’t believe this place only has 6 reviews. The food here is great. The service is fast. I love their pancakes. The price is normal for breakfast restaurants. Definitely recommend this restaurant. My husband and I have been going at lease once a week ever since we first tried it.

I come here with the family about once a week and every week we get the same service. Phenomenal! I usually go here to cure my hangover. They know the routine… Tall glass pitcher of water. They don’t even ask. Very friendly! I always recommend this place to all my buddies.
Honestly, this place is underrated. Always busy on weekends. Especially after church on Sundays.
Food is never cold. Always on time and same taste every time.

OMG — my dad loves this place. That said its a guaranteed crowd pleaser for older folks although younger ones come here too. That said, the food is basic but generally delicious. Carol, one of the Servers, is also wonderful.

Homemade corned beef hash? Need I say more? OK, why not. This place is the real deal. Good food, great service, fair prices. If you are near Mills Peninsula and need breakfast head over here fast! Yummy!

Buttermilk Pancakes were good. I liked the home fries. The waitresses were friendly too. Definitely would come back if I’m in the area
