Nothing overly special here. The food is typical hotel fare, just average. The service was ok, although it went in streaks where the waitress came every couple minutes, then disappeared for a while, etc. They had a couple of specialty drinks my wife liked, but behind that it was again basic. The view of the bay is nice. I think the place currently suffers a bit from the hotel construction — I would try again once it is finished.

The lounge is nice and the food typical of bar food. Max’s Opera Café near by has better calamari and NY deli, but if you don’t want to leave the hotel, the food is adequate, the drinks poured well, and a nice staff.

Do not get this place confused with the Rings seafood and Steak restaurant. Both are located in the Embassy Suite but have 2 separate areas. I have not tried the restaurant but really don’t need to since the atmosphere of the lounge and the food during happy hour is enough to keep me happy. During happy hour which starts at 5 or 530 they serve some awesome calamari that is out of this world. All for 6 bucks it really can feed 2 people. the Onion rings are pretty good as well. That is if you like thin onions that are close to replicating shoe string fries. If you like thick onion rings you may not like this one. They had other times on the menu during happy hour but the calamari is the best. I’m a calamari aficionado so whenever I go to a restaurant it is the calamari I order. The view at the lounge is just as nice as the restaurant. They also have TV’s around the lounge for you sports fans but not any flat screens. My boyfriend is a HUGE burger fan and really enjoyed his burger here as well. So between the restaruant and the lounge I SAYDINE at the lounge first. If you like the lounge then dine at the restaurant cause the food comes from the same kitchen.
